We purchased two solution stair parts…
We purchased two solution stair parts bundle landing kits for a divide between our lounge and dining area. We needed some advice and also had additional base plinths provided. From the moment of contacting Shaw Stairs (Jo Pinson) to delivery of the order, the service was extremely good. The landing kits themselves are of great quality and will be a feature in our lounge, we are very pleased with the style and quality. Very fast shipping and a good price BUT
Very fast shipping and a good price. But one big minus for packaging. I received my item in original box cover only at the top with a cardboard.
T&C I quote "Please check all parcels are present and intact on delivery before signing your delivery ticket. If you are unsure about any item please sign on the ticket as "damaged". Any items that have not been signed for as damaged will not be replaced... "
Item should be prepared properly for shipment and save unnecessary stres for a customer, not only place a blame on the courier.
We all know how the parcel are treated by the courier's. A little bit bubble wrap will make a big difference or another layer of cardboard.
It not happened to me, but I was very disappointing with packaging. For this reason only 4 stars.

Service was fantastic from beginning to…
Service was fantastic from beginning to end and the product is outstanding. We wanted a bespoke solid oak staircase. Chris designed a beautiful staircase, heavy solid oak which fit perfectly and exceeded our expectations. The price was reasonable. Would highly recommend Shaw Stairs without reservation.

Beautifully made staircase at a great price
Shaw stairs made us a beautiful staircase at a really competitive price, in fact, almost half the price of some of their competitors. Very quick turnaround and great customer communications.Great customer service, both before and after installation. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I have had the pleasure of working with the shaw stairs team now for many years. They supply us with around 50 stairs a year and have been fantastic on every project. They go above any other suppler to help where they can even to point of staying late to get jobs done in time for Christmas for us. Would not hesitate in recommend in them.
The stairs are great Quality and great turn around times.
But the biggest thing for me is the service you get when ordering/designing the items. They work hard to make sure we get the very most in head hight and awkward locations and help make them look original.

Fantastic service

Outstanding for bespoke stair parts
Following renovation I needed spindles, a newel post and cap and a half newel and cap made to match my existing staircase as they were no longer available anywhere to purchase. Shaw Stairs made bespoke products and were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The communication was outstanding. The company were so helpful throughout the whole process of sending photos, drawings and measurements through to production and delivery. The stair parts are now in place and look identical to my existing staircase. I couldn't have had a better match and am delighted with the outcome. A fantistic end result, and a very impressive service that I can highly recommend.

DIY Refurb
Shaw stairs couldnt have been more helpful when we were looking for a DIY stair refurbishment kit. They went through all the options with us and then custom made everything we needed so we could do the job with minimal fuss. Even adding extras on after the initial build. Absolutely brilliant.

What they fail to tell you when you place an order is that if you are having bespoke items they will not return them. We received awful newel posts and we sent them back. We no longer have the items and have not received a refund. Not even an attempt from the company to get this resolved. They haven't even had the decency to return the items to us. Conveniently when the order was placed according to them they couldn't process my card payment so I was asked to do a bank transfer. According to my bank this is quite common for some companies to do this, if you have made a bank transfer the bank cannot get involved to dispute it. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the items which you received but unfortunately as you ordered square newel posts this is what we then supplied you with, had you asked for these to be chamfered we would have happily obliged. Prior to this we had also sent you a copy of our terms and conditions which states that bespoke items cannot be returned as we are unable to resell these as they have been made to your specific requirements. We also informed you of this before you returned the items and made you aware that we could only refund the standard items which was processed in full on receiving these items. We also offered to send the items back to yourself however you would have had to cover the postage costs but we never heard anything back from you until now. We could not process your card payment as it was a security code match only and this can therefore mean it is a fruadulant transaction so we have to take precautions to avoid any issues and you offered to make a bank transfer to avoid delaying your order, we take card payments on a daily basis and never push bank transfers onto our customers unless this is their preferred payment method.
