I bought service seats vouchers for a showcase cinema film my son and his friends wanted to attend. Vouchers arrived by email - but all the codes had an error message and could not be used. Tried contacting customer services and just got an automated response - 3 days now, and still no reply.

Because service seats are vouchers for cinema, its fair to say I'd think that many people (like me) are most likely paying for them to use immediately to book a film happening in the very near future. So it's an absurdity to have no real time customer service to resolve issues. To avoid my son and his friends missing the film, I had to book the seats directly with the cinema - so have effectively paid twice.

It's extremely poor and makes a mockery of the "here for you because you're here for all of us" line at the end of the automated customer service message. Plus they have the audacity to have a no refunds policy. I have raised a dispute with my bank now over the service seats charge - I dont know if that will work or not, but whatever happens I 100% will never go near service seats again and would strongly advise others against it too.

After purchasing the vouchers I used them on Cineworld website and my booking was cancelled due to it being the wrong location. I have tried to rebook but it says the vouchers have already been used. I have contacted service seats many times and they have not responded and I can see that they will not issue a refund so I will dispute this with my bank. Absolute con of a company avoid at all costs.

I would give 0 if I could it was the worst experience ever! Could not book seats online! We had to go to the cinema as the codes would not work!! Do not purchase. Not worth time and stress and 0 saving!!!!! Beware!!!!!

RIP OFF. You pay for a voucher then add it to odeon thinking this is the final price. Then odeon adds their ticket price. What a scam company. Why on Earth would blue light a respectable company collaborate with scam artists.

Bought 2x VIP tickets for Vue Stratford for a bit cheaper than booking directly, the voucher codes arrived instantly, and was able to redeem successfully online at Vue without any issues, with no booking fee either!

So very happy with the overall result despite initial nervousness having read the poor reviews overall.

Absolute waste of time, dint produce a voucher (£12) for popcorn and drink. Could not redeem women at vue said she needed a voucher number was give a date as the voucher number which of course is inavalid. Robber £12 from me and paid extra £9 for popcorn as the voucher wasn’t valid

sold out tickets and miss-leading descriptions make it impossible to actually save money at my local Vue cinema.

I bought 5 vouchers for £41 they charged my card 4 times.

DO NOT USE - ended up costing more that just buying from Odeon directly. Would have been £42 for four of us booking with Odeon directly, paid £29.52 with ServiceSeats for the 4 tickets, added the voucher codes to Odeon when booking, and then had to pay £16 extra - basic seating etc. What a waste of time and money! Really bad show from both Blue Light Card and ServiceSeats!

I just lost £18 with these scammers. I tried to rebook seats at Showcase but it cancelled my booking and vouchers were non refundable or non transferrable. AVOID. Would rather book in cinema directly. Not worth the hassle.

When using service seats, you have two options to select your film showing and seats: visit the cinema and select at the time of arriving, or book via the cinema website using . Odeon don't do any ticket bookings via phone now, with their automated reply being 'everything you need is on our website and app'. However you incur the booking fee of £1 per ticket on the app/website, meaning that for one adult and one child ticket we paid £14.96 to Service Seats and then £2 to Odeon to secure our seats (half term, busy showings) = £16.96. A standard adult and child ticket online including the booking fee = £17.50. You can book them in person at the desk for free, but you either leave it til you arrive for the film and run the risk of there being no seats for the viewing you wanted, or make a special trip to the cinema. Not sure it's worth the hassle.

I can’t believe that Blue Light are backing this scam. I paid nearly £20 for a 2 ticket voucher. When I came to use it, it actually charges me £1 for each voucher, but applies no discount. So for the privilege of purchasing this voucher, I get to pay more! Super!

I bought 10 cinema vouchers for Odeon via the Blue Light Card. I was directed to choose my voucher on the Service Seats website, then pay for them (£56), then pay the remainder at Odeon. However, the vouchers Service Seats sent me were for Cineworld so obviously couldn't use them and paid full price for 10 tickets!

I found it very stupid to buy the voucher's through blue light cards then redeemed it on odeon site to buy cinema tickets it is all my money instead of getting a percentage off this is my first and last time buying these vouchers with blue light card.

Paid tor a voucher for me and a plus one, great, added the code at checkout at The Light. Voucher accepted and then still had to pay full price for two seats!! Rubbish

The voucher code I was sent didn’t work. 6 emails sent with screen shot evidence and they still kept refusing to refund or asked for evidence I’d already sent many times.
I still haven’t had a refund 4 weeks later!

Trying to save a bit of money and it ended up costing me more money. Really disappointing. You pay nearly £20 for the voucher for x2 tickets but then you are charged again on the cinema site. Total rubbish. Don’t bother.

So, I purchased a voucher with this crowd via my Blue Light card as I am an emergency services' member of staff.

I was charged for a voucher to use for a ticket with Picturehouse - all the instructions and the rules were followed: I chose my cinema, show, date, time, popped my voucher in the Voucher / CEA box - error message came up on the page: "The voucher number you have entered is incorrect". This is despite copying and pasting the actual voucher number from the email into the actual, correct box on the ticketing page.

I complained to the company concerned, asking for my £11.68p back for the voucher, and was told, somewhat patronisingly by a "Sian", that I seemingly had entered the voucher number in the wrong box, the Gift Card box - well, that wasn't the case at all and I then sent her a photo of what came up on the ticketing page after putting the voucher code into the voucher number / CEA box - the error message!

I am awaiting the response from this company and I have photographic evidence of what I did was right.

I am reluctant to use this company again and whoever has had to pay to get a voucher code before buying a cinema ticket?? I have already paid for my Blue Light card as it is, so in theory, I have paid TWICE for this awful cinema ticket experience.

I am already regretting applying for my Blue Light card if this is all they have to offer! I can obtain voucher codes for free from the website Wowcher and Voucher Codes UK as it is.

UPDATE: After I kicked off to the company with the screenshot and threatened them with my bank being involved, the company refunded me for the faulty voucher.

SO, FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T GET A REFUND FROM THEM, RAISE A DISPUTE WITH YOUR BANK - AND TELL THE COMPANY WHAT YOU ARE DOING; YOU ARE LIKELY TO GET A REFUND QUICKLY.

Read the reviews, looked at the Odeon web site, decided not to bother. Faff and expensive for a basic service.
