As someone who needed a helping hand on my credit repair journey. Self has absolutely become my biggest asset. They are easy to work with and offer quick credit limit increases even ones funded by me. It’s quick to pay and the instant notifications I get after a purchase are great.

It’s all so easy to use and maintain. With different opportunities throughout itself that is all helpful to me.

This is a great way to save and build credit and get a credit card

Self initially seemed like a great service for building my credit, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Due to being away on military orders, I faced circumstances that made it difficult to keep up with my payments. Within a relatively short period, Self reported the negative payment history to the credit bureaus, resulting in a 35-point drop in my credit score. For a service designed to help people build a stronger financial future, it’s incredibly discouraging to see so much progress affected in such a short time. Life and military obligations can bring unexpected challenges, and I wish there were greater consideration for these circumstances and their impact on someone’s financial well-being. What started as a positive experience has ultimately left me deeply disappointed. God willing this can be reversed.

Not processing credit check approximately on the monthly basis needed to complete account transactions.

Self inc may have a low interest rate and make things easy to help build your credit. Remember the saying, “If it seems too good to be true it probably is” that definitely applies with this company. DON’T get their credit card because if you’re late one time or accidentally miss a payment or have to report the card stolen, your account will end up being closed. You won’t be warned or given any major reason for this. Plus they’ll expect their balance paid. Worse is if the fraudulent charges are credited back, they aren’t repaid to the customer. They are credited to the account that’s been closed. One last thing, once you attach your bank account, it won’t let go. There’s no way to edit or remove it. The only way to remove it is to exchange it for a new one or freeze the bank account to cut off their access.
Yes, they’ll give you credit, yes you’ll get to pay for things at a low interest rate, yes you’ll have a modest credit limit. However, the cost of doing business with them FAR exceeds what they you’re offered. Also, they have really bad customer service. It’s mostly AI, and when you get to speak with a person, they will give you the run around if you have a problem or need help. It’s too bad because what they offer would actually help many people if it were real.

Terrible fees for lil things and stoked the price

Self has delivered with their simple and transparent methods of helping build credit. They have multiple options including revolving credit and credit builder loans. 10/10

Self is a great way to build your credit and reasonable payment plan...But only thing I disagree with is my credit card has been closed and I am making payments and I have to re apply for a new card when self should unlock my card I have

The fact that I’ve been working with self for a while I’ve never had a problem with their service. They’ve been very good to me even when I can’t afford to make the payments. They still encourage me and keep my scores up. I appreciate the little things. They’re not quick to get rid of their customers, they work with you until you’re able to get back on your feet. Thank you Self for believing in me. Your support and service is appreciated.

Self is really a great app they really help improve your credit scores.

Everything I didn’t expect! These people DO NOT STEAL YOUR MONEY! In fact they save almost every dollar you pay in. You put into a CD if you choose too. At first I was not so happy, I admit it. But after speaking with customer service and having my questions and concerns answered I decided to stick it out. I have already received my credit card and am well on my way to a better future! Thank you Self. I am definitely a valued life long customer. Anyone who’s has struggled with credit and making payments, you can do this. I pay my bill every month… with no job folks, just taking a couple surveys here there. Give it a shot. I promise you will not regret it

Self has made a huge difference not only in my credit score but now I have the possibility of borrowing from self and paying back over time with occasional increases as I pay off according to my payoff schedule
