Second manual are not a business

Second manual are not a business, they are simply thieves. I wanted a Whirlpool Fridge Freezer manual, they charged me £1.49 sent me a link to download a manual. There was no manual. Apparentley the next thing that will happen is that they will start taking regular payments from my bank on the pretext that this is some form of subscription, Why would I subscribe to a company that has already charged me for something they couldn't provide. This crooked bunch pretending to be a business is based in Dublin so why have the Irish police not taken action against them

Total crooks.
I spent £1.49 for a manual which I was supposed to get via a link sent to my email address. I never received the link (checked Spam etc), but later received successive "subscription" debits to my credit card.

Like very many people,s revue on here its the way this company operate.s its site , you think you are just downloading one manual but find your account will be debited £24.90 within days and every month thereafter, I was caught by this one earlier this year for 5 Payments Total , £124.50,starting in June I have however after complaining got this money back, buts the hazzle of even having to do this that really annoys me they do not realise the effect this has on people especially if you are older, This company like many others that operate this type captureing people into monthly payments by tricking needs to be sorted by some government agency, I believe this company operates from Ireland so beware everyone.
Having read back thro the many negative revue,s on this company and there replies its obvious to me they are not going to change the way they operate its to good an earner for them .

Manual not received or available. Hidden monthly subscription scam...

Advertised that my required manual was available - for £1.49

Paid, but when linked into the site...no such manual available (now any from that brand).

And the scamming trick of slipping in a £25 a month subscription if not cancelled within 72 hours. Only spotted in the confirmation email. I have cancelled but would not trust this sort of company, so have blocked them with my bank also.

Beware hidden subscription charges!

I requested a manual in June @ £1.49. It didn't arrive, until I phoned to request it. But all well after that.
BUT I happened to notice on my September credit card statement that I'd been charged £24.90 subscription, which I didn't want. I'd even stated clearly at the time, in June, I didn't want this. They emailed to say I'd not be charged any more. When I checked earlier card statements, I found I'd been charged in June, July and August the same amount! My fault for not checking. So I am now owed £100! Hope I can recover this.
I'd give 0 stars if I could!

Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers. They advertise manuals for £1.49 to download but don’t tell you that once you have made what you believe to be a one off payment they will then charge you £24.90 a few days later for a monthly subscription.
The moment I spotted that I emailed them just stating’ SCAM REPORTED’. They replied several days later claiming it was my fault as it was very clear on their website that you would be paying a monthly subscription. Absolute rubbish as they just advertised not on a website. I did get a full refund.

Absolute lowest of the low scammers.

Total scammers, avoid like the plague! Wanted a manual for a sewing machine I had purchased second hand. Entered the details, it said that the manual was ready to download and asked for £1.49 which I paid. Surprise, surprise no manual and an email saying I will be charged £24.90 per month ongoing for using their service. Total waste of time wanted 1 manual…

Total waste of time wanted 1 manual which they said they had, but once I had paid the money they stated they didn’t have it and please provide more details. Then noticed there was a monthly prescription after so many days log on to the website and cancelled it but let’s see what happens. Avoid this site like the plague.

Rip Off

Having downloaded a manual for £1.49 I thought that was the end of the matter. This extremely dubious company set you up in a trial period which expires and transfers into a monthly subscription of £24.90. I have notched up a total outgoing of £373.50, and they are refusing to refund any of it. Avoid!

Follow up: The response below is their standard public reaction. See the same on other dissatisfied customers on here. Their private reply to me is very different. Firmly stating that the responsibility was mine and they are keeping the money they scammed from me. To use an old fashioned phrase: "avoid like the plague".

When I saw the item it was not what I…

When I saw the item it was not what I wanted, so immediately cancelled it. However when I checked my credit card details, I found that it had not been cancelled as I had to cancel a subscription that was concealed in terms and conditions and I had not cancelled the subscription that I had not realised I had signed up for.

Ordered a manual to download which turned out to be a copy of the leaflet supplied with the item. A few days later a further £23.49 was taken from my account. Unknowingly, by purchasing an item for £1.49 I had automatically signed up for a monthly subscription. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

AWFUL company

AWFUL company. Wish I had read Trustpilot reviews before buying the manual which never arrived. NO mention before paying of a subscription service until the initial small payment is made. I have cancelled the exorbitant subscription fee and fingers crossed they dont take any money from my account. AVOID at all costs.

Don't touch

Like all other reviewers, I have had an appalling service. I paid £1.49 for a manual that did actually arrive, and which I appreciate very much, however I do not appreciate the £24.90 that was taken from my bank account within a couple of days. I have just called and it is not refundable. The lady I spoke to is unaware of the Trustpilot reviews!

YOU CANNOT JUST BUY 1 MANUAL - YOU END UP WITH A £25 MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION

A pity we can't give zero stars, this is a complete rip off

Do not buy anything from this site as you pay £1.49 for your manual, which didn't arrive, i had to chase it up and it finally got sent, then they charge you £24.90 every month and cancelling the DD is extremely difficult

I asked for a refund and they gave me some chat about being transparent all the way through, that they won't refund as they state

"Our offer was clearly stated throughout your journey on our website,
our monthly subscription fee was explained in detail in our terms and
conditions which you agreed to"

believe me, it is not clear, it is hidden in the small print.

I had to get my credit card to block the charge and start proceedings to recover the funds
