Sealey VS858 mechanics mat

Been using these mechanics mats for about six years now, they are fantastic.
Model number VS858.
As most days I am kneeling next to a vehicle these mats have saved my knees for injury/wear and tear over the years and I recommend them regularly .

Sealed make excellent tools

Sealed make excellent tools, and their lifetime warranty is genuinely that! After 20 years of use, the universal joint in my 3/8” socket set broke: the pin came loose. They replaced it with no quibbles, and the new one feels even better quality than the original! Here’s to another 20 years.

Foot-operated Log-Splitter - Superb

I never even knew that a foot-operated log-splitter existed. Very good price and works well.
Spitting logs today I did have to put full weight (12Stone) on it however the wood is quite solid.
Shame it's made in China but hey.

probably the worst company ever i now…

probably the worst company ever i now have over 4k sat with different companies so i cannot even order the motorbike lift i want from another manufacturer until i am refunded because sealey cannot send an item that they sell because they don’t have the correct couriers then you talk to them direct and your met with patronising staff company’s is an embarrassment

Excellent customer service experience

Just wanted to reach out & quote that I’ve had the best customer service from Maddie , I needed a spare part for something I’d brought roughly 5 yrs ago , my enquiry was dealt with in a super friendly manner , emails replied to very quickly . I couldn’t have been helped any better …..Hope management read this review & reward employees accordingly

5 star customer service yet again

I contacted Sealey tools as I have a ratchet wrench - possibly around 15 years old - from their premier range that needed attention.
John from technical responded within the hour and via email we quickly diagnosed the problem.
He then proceeded to send me a repair kit totally free of charge which I received a couple of days later and easily fitted in under 5 minutes thus restoring the wrench to full operation rather than throwing it away and needing to buy another.
I have a lot of Sealey tools and have experienced similar excellent customer service in the past - whether they are from their premier range or not.
If only all manufacturers would be that helpful and actually supply replacement parts it would save ridiculous amounts of waste and result in happier customers.

Easy to deal with

Easy to deal with, Lifetime Guarantee fulfilled. Can't fault.

I have lots of Sealey branded tools which i use daily. Unfortunately the clasp on a Sealey professional tool case broke off. I emailed and explained the issue. .. few days later I had a new case supplied.

Thank you Sealey for proper customer service.

Avoid at all costs.

Will never buy from Sealey , or partshop 247 again. Item was returned over a week ago , still no refund. Box was totally destroyed that tool came in telling me takes 5 days to ( assess ) return absolute rubbish . Im £234 out of pocket ive had to inform bank and ebay fraud . This has been pver 2 weeks ive been fighting this . Im a small business and this has impacted me massively as im out lf pocket .

Motorcycle Dolly

Received Motorcycle Centre Stand Moving Dolly yesterday (bought via Machine Mart).
An excellent piece of kit, well made and sturdy, very rapid delivery too!
One minor criticism, I bought it to use on my restoration project 1975 Honda CB200. Getting the bike onto the dolly proved a bit of a struggle - the distance between the raised centre stand and the back wheel is quite short, and I only just managed to get it to locate on the rubber mat by millimetres!
Note to Sealey, it might be worth including the minimum measurement required between the stand and the back wheel, particularly on older smaller bikes. Apart from that, very happy with the device.

I bought a Sealey hex sockets set from…

I bought a Sealey hex sockets set from halfords, one of the socket got broken and tried to get it replaced under warranty, been sent from one halfords close to my work shop to the one I bought the set from only to hear sorry we cannot help and should get in touch with sealey directly which i did, Tim from customer service was great, emailing back on time and in less than two days i got my hex socket replacement delivered.

Chocolate teapot!

I’ve just bought a SEALEY wiper arm removal tool, model number VS806 and quite frankly it’s an embarrassment of a product. This thing couldn’t pull the hairs off a badgers arse is woeful. I’ve tried it on 3 different vehicles and it works on none of them.
It’s so badly designed that product development need to write out a hundred times “I WONT PUT OUT A PRODUCT THATS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE”

Specific to the TP9312 Oil Transfer Pump

Specific to the TP9312 Oil Transfer Pump which stopped working after the second use. Seller kindly replaced it and didn't want the other one back so I took it apart. I found there is a 10A fuse in the 12v supply to the switch that had blown. The fuse and crimp connection is enclosed in heat shrink sleeving but it was a quick job to cut that away, replace the fuse and solder the old leads to the end caps of the new fuse. All working again. Shame they didn't put a fuseholder into the case, there's plenty of room inside the housing as the pump motor is tiny. Then I opened up the replacement as I wanted to put a longer lead on it with a cigarette lighter plug on the end. I noticed the replacement no longer had a fuse so my guess is these kept blowing and causing issues. The pump draws 4 amps when running.

Socket substituted in error from new

When my new socket set was delivered having opened the box and unwrapped it, a socket in the set was substituted with the wrong size.
I expected an issue rang and explained it was brand new just delivered and the lady on the phone at SEALEY listened took my details and a new replacement would be on the way.
It arrived next day.
No fuss, no bother , just good old honest customer service delivered excellently.
I am now as a result a huge fan of SEALEY and would recommend every time. Best customer service I have received all year!!! Well done.

I like Sealey tools and found them to have been very good quality with no problems that I've experienced. These torque wrenches are a huge improvement on my last one and being the 3 wrenches much larger torque range than I previously had .

Broken tool replaced on warranty

After a Siegen branded tool I own malfunctioned I contacted the team over at Sealey Group. The tool was quickly identified, despite being older than time itself. The tool itself is covered by a lifetime warranty and despite never having registered the warranty, the team were more than happy to help and I am now happier than ever that I will be receiving a brand new and upgraded version of the tool. The customer service given was fantastic and will definitely steer me towards future purchases through Sealey. Simon was a delight to speak with, thanks again.
