Expensive returns

I didn’t mind so much that my order took a while to arrive but what I do mind is the returns process.
The item I ordered just didn’t suit me, I have no complaints of the quality that was fine. The item cost £18 & shipping was £6 - therefore the overall cost was £24. The cost of returning this item was going to be £12+. So all in all I would be forking out £36 . I haven’t returned the item as I can’t bear to be fleeced any further amount. Yes I didn’t read the returns policy - so that was my fault but I have previously used workwear express who were great at returns and covered the cost themselves.
Word to the wise - if you’re unsure of the products you’re purchasing & there is a slight possibility you may need to return - avoid this company.

You are correct that we do not cover return shipping costs, and we want to be transparent about why. In our view, it is unfair to "bake" the cost of potential returns into our retail prices. Items received didn’t look like images on website. Took more than a month to arrive, no mention that there would be such a delay on website on purchase. Had to pay full shipping cost on return myself which was most of the cost of the original purchase anyway.

À fuir

À fuir, délais de livraison et d’expédition déplorables. Commandé le 25 décembre et reçu le 10 février. J’ai demandé exprès une livraison avec DHL, mais ça a fini avec La Poste. Ils répondent aux mails, c’est déjà ça… en vous mentant, bien évidemment.
J’avais besoin de ces vêtements avant une date précise (le 23 janvier, donc un mois après). J’ai demandé qu’ils annulent la commande s’ils ne pouvaient pas tenir les délais. Ils m’ont répondu que je la recevrais largement d’ici là, que la commande était déjà partie.
Au final, absolument pas.

Nous sommes désolés de lire que votre expérience n’a pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes.

Concernant l’expédition, nous proposons deux services distincts : DHL Global Mail, dont la livraison finale est effectuée par le service postal local, et DHL Express. Lors de votre commande, le service sélectionné était DHL Global Mail, qui est bien celui que nous avons utilisé. Il est clairement indiqué que la distribution finale se fait via La Poste.

En ce qui concerne le délai, les articles étaient en précommande (backorder) au moment de l’achat, comme mentionné sur la page produit. Cette situation, combinée à la période des fêtes de Noël, a malheureusement entraîné un délai plus long que d’habitude. Nous en sommes sincèrement désolés.

En revanche, nous réfutons toute accusation de mensonge. Nous avons répondu à chacun de vos emails et vous avons assistée dans la mesure de nos possibilités à chaque étape. Que vous soyez déçue est bien entendu regrettable, mais des accusations infondées ne reflètent pas les échanges réels.

If you’re buying from the UK, do yourself a favour and stay well away.

This company hides behind bizarre regulations and has non-existent customer service. Their apologies mean nothing — they simply don’t care and take zero responsibility.

I placed an order on 8 January and as of 26 January, I still haven’t received my parcel. Their only excuse? “Delivery isn’t our responsibility — it’s DHL’s fault.” Convenient.

After more than a week, the delivery activation code was finally issued, and my parcel is still sitting somewhere in the Netherlands. Absolutely ridiculous.

The irony? The product itself is fine. The SKETCHERS scrub quality is excellent and the price was fair. I’m a clinician based in London and genuinely like the scrub— but the buying experience is a nightmare.

Pay a bit more and buy from a reputable UK-based retailer instead. You’ll save yourself the headache of chasing parcels, sending emails, and WhatsApp messages that go nowhere.

Once again: avoid, avoid, avoid

To clarify the situation regarding your order timeline: The items you ordered on Jan 10 were explicitly marked as "Backordered" at the time of purchase.

This status was clearly displayed on the product page and again in your shopping cart before you completed the checkout. Because the items were on backorder, the standard shipping timeframe applies only after the stock arrives at our warehouse.

Regarding the tracking, the order was handed over to DHL on Jan 19. The delay you saw was a technical lag in the tracking code activation. As confirmed in my email to you, the tracking is now fully active, and the parcel is currently processing in Frankfurt on its way to the UK.

I apologize for the frustration caused by the lack of tracking updates during that window, and I am personally monitoring this shipment until it reaches you.

Unfortunately, the shipment experienced an exceptional delay during customs clearance and local postal processing in South Africa, which is outside of our control. The worse ever !!

The worse ever !!! Be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when ordering. At first you choose your item and as soon as you pay, after receiving a notice of payment, they tell you your item is on back order. They won’t tell you before to insure business and make sure they get their money. They message you that your item will take max two weeks and because you choose ( the fastest) DHL it becomes out of their hands if you want it in time and you will not get your money back because they item is sent already. Paypal will be on their side, so if you want your money back contact straight away your bank and try not to use Paypal. It can and probably will take more than a month for you to get your order! They are way cheaper and better and more reliable companies to get your scrubs. Nothing special about the quality. Yes it’s a good product, but not worse the stress. They are indeed very polite in dealing with your complaints, but nothing will happen once you paid for it and as many reviews mention it, you will WAIT A LONG TIME. They sent my order to Great Britain even I live in Finland lol! Of course it’s never their fault …. So my advice is, order somewhere else where it might even be cheaper for the same quality and way faster to receive. Definitely not recommending this Company. Thanks God for my bank understanding!!
Update: Following they response, as clearly this company has no shame…. So first please provide the evidences and screenshots you claim to have!!! Reading multiple reviews that complain for the same reason as i do, you always have the same answers for everybody…. and clearly it seems to be a problem that keep on rising more and more. The fact is that your delivery system is very bad! You use DHL and whatever options you are giving and for extra fee if i may add, the result is the same regarding busy seasons or not. Again the reviews prove it. You always have an excuse. And yes the bank understood and refunded the money what ever Paypal closes the case “ in you favor” like you claim. Being suspended from Paypal for a little while is not really going to affect my life. Your very low reviews show what kind of unreliable delivery system you have and what kind of “ transparent “ company you are. I guess the reviews will catch up eventually with you…. I urge buyer to read reviews before buying from you. 3,2 doesn’t look too good for a company that claims being reliable. I am merely giving my opinion like many did before: product quality is good, but delivery system is very bad and yes similar products with the same quality, if not better, are available all over Europe.

Delays caused by backorders, holiday volume, or carrier routing errors, while unfortunate, do not justify a refund once an order has been successfully delivered and retained.

Backorder disclosure

The item was clearly marked as Backorder on both the product page and again in the cart before checkout. This information was not added after payment. Screenshots confirming this were formally submitted to PayPal as evidence.

Order and shipping timeline

The order was placed on 25 November and shipped immediately after the item arrived back in stock, in line with the communicated backorder timeframe, especially considering the holiday period.

Shipping method

Contrary to your claim, you selected DHL Global Mail, which is not a time-guaranteed service.
Both DHL Express and DHL Economy Select (with guaranteed delivery times) were available but were not selected. Referring to DHL Global Mail as “the fastest DHL option” is incorrect.

Carrier routing issue

The parcel experienced a routing error by DHL, briefly transiting via the UK. As soon as this was identified, we contacted DHL and had the issue resolved. The parcel was successfully delivered, which you confirmed to us directly via WhatsApp.

PayPal claim outcome

You opened a PayPal claim, which is fully reviewed. Based on tracking data, delivery confirmation, and documented backorder disclosure.

We stand by our transparency, documentation, and the way this case was handled from start to finish.

So happy

I made the order during black week hence the delay in receiving the package. But this was a thing to considerate as everyone had the same issue. Hence I wanted to change my mind and make a refund of the merchandise once it got to me. Still, I saw the package and opened it. As I tried the scrubs on, I liked them so much so I decided that I absolutely have to have them! The material is so soft, it gets dry very quick once being washed and above all does not require ironing! I am so happy!
