AVOID AT ALL COST - This outfit comprises of a bunch of Leeches.

They agree an amount with you, come collect your car. Take it away at least 60 miles away, then say your car is fault and give you less than half what they agreed.

You're either forced to accept the Crooks demands of the reduce amount, or travel miles to go get your car back.

This company should be struck off, human rats of the motor trade.

My car was valued for £350, was transparent with the condition of my car. Car still drives with all legal documents. Car was driving unto the their truck. After 2 days with no payment received i phoned and I was offered 300 due to a problem that I wasn’t aware. I agreed because I just wanted to close the case.

Now a week later I phoned every day, I was told the money has been paid, and the manager will call me back and all stress. I have never experienced situations like this in my life. I continue to phone and they will answer the phone and say nothing. I am now becoming a nuisance for asking for my property.. I believe they recognise my 2 lines now they don’t pick my calls anymore..

I think all customers have the same experience.

Absolutely appalling company steer clear they offer a price get your car tell you that it’s not worth what they originally offered and give you less than £100 if your lucky
If ask to get car back they give you a email address that clearly isn’t monitored to get car back but no one responds still awaiting payment as can’t seem to get my car back if continues will be reported as theft as they haven’t paid for goods

Scammer and thieves they offered £260 for my car then stated that the Catalytic converter was aftermarket although i know it is the original they dropped my offer to £50 when i refused and tried to get my car back they now refuse to give me any information. when you actually get hold of GCR waste they tell you you have to pay a release fee and storage charge if you want to collect your car you your basically screwed either way

Offer you online price collect vehicle don’t make contact then like everyone else they offer £150 and make fake claims . My vehicle was in Watford Hertfordshire and taken to Croydon not the address on paperwork . They are con artists and then say you can’t pick up vehicle without appointment and in Croydon they are scammers !!! That’s why they take the vehicle so far away

Worst experience I have received

Offered £400 catalytic converter and engine same as everyone else with one star they offered £150 basic off okay I have accepted this....

They told me I would be paid in 24 hours from pick up it's now nearly 36 hours and still no payment it will be done by I called as wasn't done I called at 5 no one answered just voicemail....

So you keep declining saying it's not a scam but you won't even pay the people...

I know the address I have contacted the police because theft b cause we haven't receives the payment for goods...

If the my account not in my account by midday tomorrow I will be contacting the police again for further investigation as I have pictures of my car leaving...

It's transferring £150 it takes 2 minutes

They agree a price for your vehicle over the phone. Arrange to pick the vehicle up. Get you to sign documents under time duress whilst loading your car onto their transporter. Ring you the next day to say they’ll give you £50.00 for the car. Or you can travel 100 miles to get it out of the pound. If you dispute it you will have to pay storage fees whilst you complain. I’m now onto trading standards.

Like others, I thought these reviews were for another scrap website and got scammed by this one.
Trustpilot and author responsible for misleading title of company, hence why people like me getting scammed.

Giving higher quotes than they are willing to pay although car matches car description upon collection ANDDD you are meant to travel far and wide to recuperate your car after rejecting their unacceptable valuation.

Isn’t it ironic that everyone has had the same issue? So all these peoples’ cars have had a different catalytic converter fitted and are not the original one? Sick and tired of companies like this. Get a grip and just be honest. You take peoples cars promise a sum and don’t pay out. What’s so difficult about being honest and working with integrity? At this day and age aren’t you ashamed of yourselves for scamming people? Definitely will avoid!

Do not use this company, we advised the company of the problems with the car non-starter over the phone they offered £300 to be paid within 24 hours they collected the car and then offered £50 as it would not start or we could pay to pick it up at our cost from them plus extra fees, when I said I would get back to them as I needed to discuss the offer with my son they paid £50 into his account and told him I had agreed the amount. LIES

I was offered £210 for my car. Was told it could be picked up with 2 hrs or less. Told them the problem with my car. Still offered the amount. Today after 3 days got a phone call. Either pick up the car or expect £50.
Apparently catcatalytic converters was gone the engine wasn't working. Which was not true.
Basically you have no choice but to expect their basic offer as receiving car back would of cost more!
Avoid at all cost. Funny how most customers recieve £50 back no matter the car or problem with car ! Avoid Avoid

As previous reviews have said, (except for one that is quite obviously fake), they took my car full of smiles and promises, then I didn't get paid that day as they said they would.
I left it 2 days before contacting them and when I called the moment they know you're not a new customer the demeanour changes to 100% unhelpful. Guess what they claimed? Yes, an aftermarket catalytic converter and my promised price is now not honoured. In fact the price they offer is an insult.
However, they could offer nothing at all because you're completely at their mercy.
I feel like a complete mug because I didn't do my research, they are 100% scammers and they'll get you too if you go with them.

I wish I had read the reviews. Promised £225 for my car. Took it yesterday. Called today to say it had an aftermarket Cat fitted so was only worth £50. Exactly the same story as other reviews. Obviously will cost more to collect than it is worth.

Absolute scammers - please please please do not get ripped off like many others have done and go to a reputable scrap dealer.

Want proof?
They change domain name regularly but the stories remain the same. They will offer you above market price for your scrap car then when no money arrives you call them, then they claim that the car has an aftermarket catalytic converter and suddenly the price you receive drops to £50. Your car is gone, they've got you.

Scrapnationwide.com offered £250 scrap value for my car based on the information I provided. They collected the car as arranged, but didn't pay out. They claim the catalytic converter was not the original one that came with the car and based on this the car value was now only £50. I could not challenge or dispute this and if I was to decline the offer I would have to collect the car, with costs of £20 a day storage and £150 to get it delivered. Do not trust these scrappage schemes, they are a rip off
