It's The Real Deal
I have applied for numerous scholarships now through ScholarshipOwl. I love that I can filter scholarships by application requirements and save the ones that match me well. I won a scholarship on September 1st. It was so exciting to get the confirmation email, and the process of receiving the scholarship funds was smooth. The scholarship I won paid for an entire class.

Scholarship Owl is a total scam
Scholarship Owl is a total scam. They are taking advantage of students seeking funding for school. You will not get a scholarship, they will just take your money and be happy with it.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience. Scholarship awards are determined by the organisations offering them, so we cannot guarantee that every student will receive funding. We’d be happy to look into your specific concerns. Please contact our support team at support@scholarshipowl.com so we can assist.

The ScholarshipOwl platform is great to… find scholarships and mass apply
The ScholarshipOwl platform is great to use and has gotten me connected to a lot of applications that I wouldn't have previously encountered. My only complaint is that after winning a scholarship you only receive an email with a link to fill out your winner's info-- at first it seemed to be a scam. When trying to access the scholarship application from my ScholarshipOwl portal to confirm the legitimacy, I could see my application to the scholarship but could not see the decision or open the application because I don't pay for Pro. I had to reach out to the customer service team to make sure it wasn't a scam. Overall I think this is a great service but some sort of tool should be in place for free users to claim their scholarships without suspicion of scam.

Free Trial - Not so Free
Signed up for the free trial, and 5 months later I realized they were billing my pay-pal for almost a year. I tried to get a refund and they said I "had an agreement with them." Funny I don't remember this agreement, and when I log in to my account with them is says "free membership" $191.52 lost and my daughter who was 3rd in her class got ZERO scholarships. Complete fraud.
