We had a great experience with the Hello College team throughout the college application process. The essay coaching, test enhancement, application guidance, and just helping our daughter stay on task during a lengthy application process was so helpful. Every step was clearly laid out and they helped meet each checkpoint. Our daughter’s hard work, Hello College’s expertise, and a little bit of luck helped her get accepted to her top program and many other competitive schools.

The counselors are very experienced and responsive. The counselings are structured, personalized. We appreciate the consistent, timely and clear instructions. The made the college application, the complex project, well-arranged and somewhat enjoyable.

The staff that works at hello college are very motivated and dedicated to help you with your problems. Mine Counselor did a good job of breaking everything down and making the process easy and simple.

Not inexpensive - but in the end we felt it was worth it in our situation. My son also loved his essay coach Sam and she was instrumental in getting good essays out of my son.

They provide lots of resources and templates that make the whole application process so much easier. I did not like the college essay help. I felt like most of the feedback I got was for sentence structure and grammar, not building a story. I loved my general counselor, Don Keller. He was amazing at helping me with everything I needed.

HelloCollege provided outstanding support across the board, from our son’s primary counselor (Kim) to the essay support, SAT prep, financial aid guidance and more. The process was very hands-on and we truly believe the cost was not only worth it but more than paid for itself in the acceptances and scholarships that HelloCollege helped our son to achieve. Having a professional college counselor project manage the entire application process E2E allowed me to focus on being a mom and deepen my relationship with my soon-to-leave teenager, instead of constant nagging him about deadlines, essays, strategies, etc. I’m forever grateful for that. Additionally, the essay coach helped my son produce an incredible end product for all his essays that set my son apart from the competition, while somehow making writing enjoyable in a way that high school did not. We were very happy with the process as well as the end result.

Overall, HelloCollege was extremely useful when it came to figuring out which colleges I wanted to apply to. However, beyond that, it was not as helpful as I would have imagined when the time came to actually apply to schools. I often felt that my counselor was a bit lackadaisical towards my applications and essays, although I now think this may have been an outlier as she left HelloCollege in the middle of the application season. By contrast, the most helpful part of HelloCollege without a doubt was my essay coach who took the time to get to know me as an individual as well as a writer. She always gave me high quality feedback promptly, and I always felt like she was available if I needed any sort of help.

I liked how personal the zoom meeting where and how I got to actually ask all the questions I had opposed to a big zoom meeting with 50 people where not every question gets answered. I also appreciated all the resources HelloCollege gave because it gave me access to a lot of help that I would have never received otherwise.

Hello College provided my daughter with interview skills training, enabling her to secure a summer internship opportunity at a local high-tech company. This is an experience that has been helpful for her college applications. It guided my daughter to the gates of the university and helped her understand what she needs to do in the future.
