Easy to speak to real people. When i had questions, i could pick up the phone or pop into the office.

Freindly, helpful and knolegable staff, will be using again shortly.

Avoid. I’ve been chasing them for a quotation for over 5 weeks and received one response in this time acknowledging my request.
They have massively delayed my property project, which I guess is a blessing in disguise, as had I instructed, it would have taken them about 3 years to transact to my requirements.
A massive disappointment. Look elsewhere folks if you want a company with engages with you.
Tried emailing the owner (Sam Hawking) directly and nothing.

We had used Sam Hawkins on 3 different occasions previously at the Port Talbot Office and had excellent service, however this time we used the Crosshands office and Charlene Jenkins. and from start to finish had terrible service. from day one we asked for everything to be a quick as possible, we physically took all of our documents to the office for things to move quickly, I explained that my husband was undergoing Cancer treatment, we were staying with my son in a small 2 bedroom house, I was sleeping on a mattress in the lounge, we were cash buyers, there was no chain. the house we were buying was vacant, and there was absolutely no reason for any delays, realistically the whole process shouldn't have taken more than 8 - 10 weeks, when in fact it took over 17 long weeks. they didn't reply to emails. didn't return phone calls, and it was very difficult to speak to Charlene, after 7 weeks I spoke to her receptionist who informed me that the Searches File was still on Charlene's desk and we found out that Charlene had waited 7 weeks before even starting the searches, even though I was ringing and asking for progress. The whole process with Sam Hawkins was so stressful and we would never recommend using them. Charlene was just not professional and efficient.

Terrible customer service. Right from the start. Specified I needed a face to face appointment. Got there and was told it was Teams. I had said when I rang that Teams was no good as I had documents to show. Was told solicitor was working from home. They rang her and she did come in, but this caused a wait for me.
I had the appointment, for a simple issue to do with property. I was told she was going on holiday but would email me before that with what I needed to do and relevant information.
No email came. I waited until 2 and a half weeks had lapsed and then rang for an update. Was told she was not in but would get back to me. No call came. Over the next 2 weeks I rang a further 3 times, each time to be told I would get a call back that never came. Five weeks after the meeting, I rang a final time and still got no satisfaction and so I went to the office. Again got no satisfaction, there was no update and basically absolutely nothing had been done. This meant that putting my house on the market has been delayed.
I contacted another firm, recommended to me. Was contacted within hours and an email immediately sent. The contrast was stark. Avoid Sam Hawkings Solicitors if you want a swift response.

Service was efficient, prompt and reassuring throughout the process. Can't thank Nichola enough, she was a pleasure to deal with

I have worked with Lisa on number of occasion for buying and selling buy to lets. Recently soled my residence and they acted as my solicitors. It was not smooth as my buyer's solicitor was slow and won't respond in timely manner. However, my solicitors team Lisa, Nicola and Maisie were very helpful and promt. Someone always picks up the phone and answers your queries. I was kept informed at all times. I will certainy work with Lisa and team again.

Not a good company to approach for as they drag things in an unimaginable way and no response at all. Very bad customer service. Better keep away.
