You have to do this trip!!! It was one of the most incredible and special 5 days of my life. Marco, our guide, was AMAZING! He kept us safe, he was hilariously funny, he so passionate and knowledge about his ancestry and he just made the trip so perfect. We had an amazing group of people doing the hike too, for which I am forever grateful. These people are now truly special friends! You will not regret doing this, trust me!

I did the 5 Day Salkantay Trek and would truly recommend to everyone I know. Our guide, Marco, was incredible - so knowledgable and passionate about Peru, Incan Culture and the Andes in general. The 4-day Salkantay Trek to the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu was truly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Every single day brought breathtaking scenery — from snow-capped mountains and crystal-clear lakes to lush cloud forests and ancient Incan sites. The beauty of Peru is impossible to describe until you experience it yourself.

What made this trip even more special was my incredible guide, Angel. His knowledge of Incan history, culture, and the surrounding landscape brought every moment to life. You could feel their passion in every story and explanation along the trail, making the trek not just physically rewarding, but deeply meaningful.

The people i met along the way were equally amazing — warm, welcoming, encouraging, and full of positive energy. There was such a strong sense of camaraderie throughout the journey that strangers quickly felt like family.

And the food prepared by Jose was absolutely unbelievable for a remote mountain trek. Every meal was freshly prepared, beautifully presented, and honestly better than many restaurants. Waking up to hot coca tea and ending long hiking days with incredible dinners was something we looked forward to every day. Jose even made a birthday cake one evening 🤯
This trek challenged me physically, inspired me emotionally, and rewarded me with memories that will last forever. If you are considering the Salkantay Trek, do it. It is so much more than a hike — it is an adventure filled with history, culture, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable people.

This was honestly one of the most amazing experiences of our lives!! From start to finish we could have not asked for anymore!!! Our guides Jerson and Pedro were absolutely incredible!! The half day Cusco’s city tour with Nico was so informative. He is a wealth of knowledge. Loved hearing the history of the ruins.

I just completed a 5-day trek with this agency, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation.

We did the 4 day classic inca trail with Salkantay Trekking and we are so pleased with our experience! Both of our guides were very knowledgeable on the history of the trail and the flora and fauna. They also were very supportive as parts of the trek are pretty difficult but they always told us to go our own pace and pushed us to succeed. The team of chefs and porters did outstanding; the porters were constantly going out of their ways to make us feel welcomed and supported even though they were working 10x harder than us. The food was outstanding, I’m shocked out what can be made at 3,600 m with only a fire. We recommend this trek to everyone with Salkantay trekking, it was an amazing experience. This company is amazing. It was well organized and staff was easy to communicate at all times.

It’s definitely a challenging trek and might push you out of your comfort zone with food, accommodations and physical activity. But, this was all so important to our experience. We traveled as two girls alone and felt completely safe.

If you’re on the fence - do it 10000%! It’s a good mixture of adventure, culture, and comfort. The chefs, guides and horsemen take care of you and work so hard to ensure you have a good experience.

Come with an open mind and be ready for a challenge - it’s so worth it!!!

Lastly, it’s the most physically beautiful place I’ve ever been. Shoutout to our guide, Raul. If you get to be with him you are LUCKY. However, it seems that all staff is amazing.

I have done a couple of hikes across South America and South East Asia. This has been by far the most comfortable and fun hike I've been on. The views and hiking planning were immaculate and our guides were all really amazing and knowledgeable of the area that we hiked through. Really amazing experience and would definitely friends and family to try it out if the opportunity arises.

The 4-day inka trail to Macchu Picchu was an unforgettable experience, I will never forget this trip and will always speak highly of this travel company. Henry was so knowledgeable and attentive to our group, he made sure we had a great trip and were well taken care of. The chef was 5 star and we always were blown away by the high quality of food while camping. The porters made this trip possible for us, carrying everything we needed for our journey, they were incredible. I hold my hands up to the team and am so grateful for this experience.

Du début à la fin, le parcours nous a fait passer par des endroits magnifique. De la montagne, en passant par la jungle pour enfin arriver à Machu Picchu. Nous avons fait la version 4 jours et 3 nuits, avons dormir des cabanes avec des vues incroyables. Notre guide a été parfait en tous points, disponibilités, explications, culture locales, histoires, etc... Je recommande.

The best experience I have ever had!!! This hike went above and beyond anything I could have imagined! Our guide Carlos was absolutely incredible, I cannot speak more highly of his level of expertise on absolutely everything from the flora and fauna to his history knowledge. He was truly the best guide in the world and I feel so grateful to have had him to guide our group and teach with such wisdom and enthusiasm. On top of that the food on this trip was UNBELIEVABLE, I think I will be dreaming of the food for many months to come. Cannot recommend more highly!
