There are unexlained debits now and then. Your airtime debt payments are inflated everytime. Do not borrow airtime.

I been a weekly unlimited internet service customer since the price was around 600 a week and now it's a 1000 Etb and the quality was 5star when it was cheaper and the more the price go up the less the quality becomes!!!

My experience with Safaricom in Nairobi was very frustrating.
I purchased a SIM card and an eSIM with long-term validity and data bundles, and also deposited around 20,000 KES via M-Pesa for daily expenses. Both lines were blocked after just two days without any notice or explanation.
This led to multiple visits to their office, each involving hours of waiting, and no timely follow-up despite promises. With limited time left for me in Nairobi, I had to get a new number from Airtel, which was provided quickly and without complications.
Accessing my money on M-PESA became another challenge, as withdrawing money required an active line. The situation was time-consuming and unnecessarily stressful.
That said, I would like to acknowledge two staff members, Dennis and Irin, who were professional, polite, and genuinely helpful. They followed up on the issue and ensured it was eventually resolved.
Overall, a very disappointing experience, but with some appreciation for the individuals who made an effort to help.

The network is very fast and reliable. The call rates are also reasonable. I'd 100% recommend it.

What I like most about Safaricom is its unmatched network coverage—they genuinely reach every corner of Kenya, and moves like tokenised Wi-Fi and prepaid fibre show they're trying to innovate for customer flexibility. What I dislike is how often profit seems to trump fairness: customer support is frustratingly opaque, data policies change without clear notice, and M-Pesa fraud disputes often leave victims feeling blamed rather than protected. The Fuliza issue where money sent by mistake is automatically swallowed to pay someone else's loan feels fundamentally wrong and is rightly being challenged in court. To improve, Safaricom needs to match its world-class infrastructure with equally world-class transparency and empathy—clearer communication on policy changes, actual human support during fraud cases, and fixing unfair systems like the automatic Fuliza deduction. They're doing well on technology and expansion, but they're failing on trust and fairness.

This is the worst network provider in Ethiopia , even worst than Ethiotelecom. I will not recommend this for anyone who wants a fair internet usage. Especially the unlimited package.😡😡😡😡 after some days of buying the unlimited package the network will block your internet usage to 125kb/sec, they call it fair usage policy. What are we gone do with 100kb/sec 🤔🤔🤔. እንደ ሳፋሪ ኔትወርክ አሰቀያሚ ኔት ወረክ አይቼ አላቅም፤ ከ Ethiotelecom በላይም አስቀያሚ ናቸው፤ በተለይ አንሊሚቲዱን እንዳትሞክሩት በ 15 ቀን ውስጥ 100kb/sec አድርገው ነው የሚጫወቱባቹ። ብትደውሉ፤ ብታናግርዋቸው ሊረድዋቹ ፈቃደኛ አይደሉም፣ fair value usage ብለው ያንገላቷቹሀል።
