I’m very impressed with the service I’ve received from Rx Peps Direct and Optimal Balance Pharmacy!
Of all the compounding pharmacies I’ve dealt with, they have been the best when it comes to shipping peptides.
My order arrived in a well-organized box with detailed instructions and access to educational videos. It also included two packages of syringes, and the Tesamorelin came inside an insulated container with two cold packs, which kept it completely cold and well protected during shipping.
They even included a temperature indicator, along with clear instructions explaining the condition in which the medication should arrive. If the shipment arrives warm or appears to have been compromised, they provide specific instructions on how to request a replacement and reshipment.
I decided to switch to compounded Tesamorelin after spending some time purchasing Tesamorelin from different peptide suppliers. So far, I’m extremely impressed with the level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail that went into this shipment.

I have some concerns but overall happy with the pricing
I really like the pricing model and the fact that RxPepsDirect makes it easy to obtain a GLP-1 prescription without requiring a monthly membership fee. That was a big reason I chose to move forward with them.
That said, I was disappointed with the actual medical experience. The $39 physician fee gave me the impression that I would have some level of direct interaction with a medical provider, but I never had any face-to-face or direct consultation with a physician. I also was never asked about my weight or BMI, which I found surprising given that those seem like important factors when evaluating someone for a GLP-1 medication.
I was also told that my labs would be “rechecked” in three months. When I followed up because I had never actually submitted any labs to begin with, I never received an answer. That lack of follow-up was concerning to me.
I do feel confident in the pharmacy being used to compound the medication, and the transparency around the pharmacy and testing was a major reason I ultimately felt comfortable proceeding. However, the clinical side of the experience left me feeling like there was a lack of personal medical oversight and communication.
Overall, I like the concept, pricing, and convenience, but the process felt somewhat closed off and transactional. I would feel much more comfortable continuing with RxPepsDirect if there were clearer communication around the medical evaluation, lab requirements, and an opportunity to actually speak with a provider. As it stands, the experience left me wondering whether the focus is more on making the prescription process quick and inexpensive than on providing a comprehensive patient experience.

This is Marcus Hansen, CEO of Rx Peps Direct. First, thank you for taking the time to write this, and I am sorry. I dove into this because your feedback is deeply concerning to me. I have to say, I am less than pleased with what I found.
As much as getting less than 4-star reviews isn't ideal for our new business, I appreciate you showcasing where we dropped the ball. I can tell you that, as of 9:58 MST, the following is being changed and is currently sitting with our development team.
1. Update phrasing of "medical visit". I can see how this would be taken as a live provider visit. Our model is 100% asynchronous, as that is how we keep your costs so low. Your feedback shows us we need to edit the phrasing on our site.
2. Onboarding should always ask for height and weight. Always. This is a bug in our system that I personally fixed this morning.
3. Labs - We don't require labs for patients on GLP-1, and the protocol email you received is confusing when it comes to expectations. Marketing has my rewrites in hand.
Finally, our Patient Success team failed you. You emailed on the 30th and never had a reply. Unacceptable. I called an all-hands this morning with the team, found the issue, and have enacted the changes needed to deliver a customer service experience that reflects our company goal of quality care at a lower price.
Although I can't go back in time to make your past experience better, I can fix it for the future. That is my focus this morning.
I will be reaching out to you personally shortly to make this right.
Again, thank you for the call-outs here. Although this is not the ideal way for me to learn about issues, I can't fix what I don't know about. Now that I know, I can make our process better going forward.

The pharmacy charged a $1 fee that had no explanation and a $15 shipping fee. I don’t like getting to the end of a process and finding out there are hidden fees.

Easy and no nonsense. good job of getting the script to the pharmacy. You need to stay on top of the pharmacy, billing screwed up my order but that's not the fault of the Dr. - I wish they allowed us to send it to a local compounding pharmacy to reduce the logistics

It’s super fast and easy to order and get your order home. I did ran into a small problem with uploading my previous product prescription but I email them and they got back to me within 24hrs and the customer service member didn’t stop communicating with me until everything was resolved that same day! I really do recommend them and prices are supper good!

As much as I want to push blame to the pharmacy, which handles everything after we send the prescription, I can't. There was an issue with the script, which got lost between the systems.
