Spanish Rockefeller NO Oysters
On April 15, I visited restaurant in Odenton, MD. I ordered six Oysters Rockefeller, and they were excellent. Based on that experience, I ordered another six, but the second order was completely different. The oysters were very small, overloaded with spinach, and had almost no oyster flavor at all.
I brought this to the staff’s attention, and they replaced them with three additional oysters. Unfortunately, those had the exact same issue—small, mostly spinach, and lacking the taste of oysters.
What’s especially disappointing is that the restaurant was not busy at the time (only about six guests), so this does not appear to be an issue caused by a rush. It reflects inconsistency in quality and preparation.
Because of this experience, I do not plan to return.

I did not have time to address the MOD as it was Thanksgiving and with family. First, there were three options available with the Turkey Dinner for the Salad: House, Ceasar, Gumbo. We were never offered an option, I wanted the gumbo but when we order or meals and xtra broccoli(undercooked), we were never offered a choice. Service was B+, we were seated next to the enrace on the bottom level of the Ruth's in Buckhead and it seemed people(waiers,mgrs,etc.) were always around and no privacy, also in fine dining I do not want to hear RAP music. The dress code said business casual, no hats. People came in in ripped jeans, untucked shirts, hats...REALLYY!! Then I had to order extra gravy to wash down the Turkey!!$200 over all spent on this!!!! What are you as a manger really going to do about this experience? My dad died in Jan and we were celebrating our first Thanksgiving without him at your restaurant!!!We had a 3pm resv. in Buckhead, for 2, under Martin
This is an update: I have spoken at great length to someone over a Ruth's Chris and very happy with the outcome. Going back and trying this again in a couple of weeks and go from there. Thank you M.C!!
T-bone was disappointing ...
Ordered T-bone steak and mashed potatoes. This was my first time ordering from Ruth Criss'. I must say I was disappointed. The steak was very tough and a little salty. I will not order from them again.

food was mediocre. definitely not worth the exorbitant prices here. won't be back. i can buy a
top sirloin steak at Publix or Walmart for $10 - $12 and cook it myself. And don't get me started on the ridiculous drink prices.

Great food, subpar service
Went to the Reno location. The food was good but the customer service was not up to par. In san Francisco and Anaheim they make you feel like they really care and that experience paired with the food makes it memorable. Not the case in Reno, I felt like I was at Applebees instead of high end steakhouse.
Terrible experience in parsippany
Terrible experience in parsippany, NJ. Found multiple hairs in our food. Unacceptable with the price we pay for the food. Never again. Rails in towaco, much better choice.
We were there for my birthday
We were there for my birthday; our server Alyssa was the best ever. Our food was delicious and she checked back with us several times and just provided the best service.
Bummer Christmas experience
I made reservation for 4 on Christmas day 12/25/24 at the Buckhead/Atlanta location. To begin with, we were seated 15 minutes past our reserved time. Drink orders took far too long to receive. One salad arrived 15 minutes prior to the other 3 salads. We did not receive bread at the table until 30-40 minutes after being seated. When entrees arrived, 2 of the steaks were significantly overcooked, one ribeye cooked well done instead of medium.
My steak knife had grease and actual fat on the knife, clearly being unwashed.
Russell, our waiter, did offer to replace the overcooked ribeye. Unfortunately it then took 40 minutes for the replacement to arrive, by which time other guests had long finished their meals.
Let me emphasize that Russell attempted to provide good service, but appeared to be far overextended with the number of tables he was serving. He was gracious and apologetic for the overall poor experience, and did remove the cost of one steak.
Unfortunately we were hosting out of town guests and I was frankly embarrassed by the overall poor experience, and would never consider returning to Ruth Chris or referring others to your establishment.

For literally dozens of special events all across the country for any years Ruth’s has been our “go-to venue.” That changes dramatically last evening….Saturday November, 30th.
We arrived for our 6:00 dinner reservation and were seated in a nearly empty restaurant. We enjoy early evenings when you can ear each other’s conversation.
It seemed as though the staff was having some challenges getting started for the evening with newer wait staff. Appetizers arrived with the salads and the main courses were AWOL! Nearly an hour after we ordered the main courses (nearly) arrived. As the server rounded the bar he raised the tray high overhead to avoid another when the inevitable collision happened. Our main courses were scattered across the floor. While staff seemed unable to formulate a plan to clean the mess we waited. Ten minutes after the crash a young staffer came to the table, explained our meals were being re-prepared and would be to us shortly.
Fully an hour later (8:20) our meals arrived. The steaks were good, as expected but the sides were cold. We asked the waiter to re-heat the potatoes as they wouldn’t melt the butter. We ate our steaks absent the side dishes only to have the sides arrive cold after we had eaten our main course.
As we awaited our desserts the table was never ‘bussed’ so conversation died out over a cluttered table with inedible side orders. The desserts finally did arrive IN A BAG.
Nearly three hours for a very poor representation of what we have heretofore expected at a Ruth’s.
Management was not to be seen or heard from throughout the evening. Shame on them. The young waiter apologized and had the customary gratuity removed from the bill. That amount we added back to the tab.
I caution anyone against visiting this particular Ruth’s. They are severely short on manners and management……and for $700.00 I am terribly disappointed.

I made a reservation for 10/12 to celebrate my man’s birthday. This was the best dining experience I’ve had; I’ve visited two other locations before in Ft. Lauderdale and coral gables Ruth Chris. From the host who spread confetti on the table upon seating us to the very welcoming manager that came and checked on us. Our server (Dasia B) …. wow 😊 I must acknowledge that exquisite service she gave us (smiles). Our overall experience wow…. 5 stars and if there where one more level Ruth Chris Aventura…you got it (smiles). Thank you so much, especially for your hospitality it was welcoming and much appreciated.

It was a cut down cheaper piece of meat that they fancied up and then when it came out on the 500 degree plate sizzling to cover it up it’s not worth the cost. Plus the a la carte potatoes were not overwhelming and more of a game trying to find a suitable side on a limited menu .Dessert was pleasant but overall I’ve had more competitive meals for half the cost . It was fun watching the younger people rack up their credit cards on food they cannot afford though pretending to be rich.

Darden Does Not have Their Stuff Together
I had an embarrassing customer experience on 7/3/24 and the follow up was as frustrating as the initial experience.
I purchased several $100 gift certificates last year for special client appreciation gifts.
I thought I had given them all away but found one as I was purging some files.
I called the 877-353-7884 number because I could not verify the balance via the normal balance inquiry phone number 1-800-290-7500.
The rep confirmed the $100 balance and said Ruth Chris & Darden had merged and the systems basically didn't talk to each other but no worries the restaurant would take it.
I took a dear client to dinner on the 3rd. At the conclusion of a dinner that had already required her to send her medium well steak back, as she had ordered it medium rare, I placed the gift certificate along with my credit card for payment.
The server came back and said the gift certificate came back invalid and $181.35 plus tip was due. I tried to explain that I had to call 877-353-7884 to verify. However, to no avail.
I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, Alicia, was apologetic and admitted that Ruth Chris was having some problems with some gift cards. That the offices were closed due to holiday and to call this number (407-333-7440) on Monday and customer service would sort it out.
It took way too much time to get to customer service. The number I ended up calling was 877-737-7752. When I finally got someone they were totally dismissive, denied the system issue, refused to just redeem this one and issue another gift certificate that DOESN'T have system issues and TOTALLY threw the location I went to under the bus, saying there is nothing wrong with the gift certificate and the don't know what their doing at the Buckhead location. It's there training issue and they were going to deal with the location, blah, blah, blah as they were rushing me off the phone.
By now I am up to like the 7th call and finally talk back to Alicia, the manager who can actually call and see that the gift certificate is good, but who said she could not redeem the gift certificate and refund my $100! What she did offer was another gift certificate that is only good in the Atlanta area stores.
From the run around, refusal to just take responsibility for this merger system error I still do not end up with my money back OR a certificate that I can use anywhere because that is what I purchased.
I am so disappointed that something meant to be just me taking a client out for their birthday ended in this lengthy, unprofessional, rude customer service, ESPECIALLY THEIR GUEST RELATIONS DEPARTMENT experience when what I signed up for was a 5 star experience.

I was celebrating my 35 wedding anniversary at Ruth's Chris (Del Mar, California). I ordered the steak and lobster plate with a dinner salad. I was eating my salad when I bit into a piece of glass. I cut the top of my mouth and broke my crown on my tooth. I notified my waitress who was very apologetic and then the manager came by and gave me his card and discounted my dinner from the bill. I've been trying to contact him to provide him my cost for a new crown but after two emails I still haven't heard anything. Wouldn't expect this from one of the top 5 steak restaurants.

Made a reservation a month in advance requesting a nice window table for my wife’s birthday. They shoved us into a booth located in the back and the waiter was inattentive , slow and borderline rude.
