Without any doubt Rust-Oleum is by far the worst paint we have ever used. My wife started using it and said she was struggling to get a good finish. So I had a go, oh dear shocking quality product. I ended up rubbing the entire surface back down and started over with a different manufacturers product. Wonderful now looks as it should. I personally would never use this brand again, 1st and last time.

I have been using Rustoleum for years. The past I would say 4 years the quality has went so far down. Spray paints especially. The glitter ones is pointless after 3-4 sprays the nozzle becomes clogged. What they charge for that paint is insane and it has happened to me so many times I don't purchase it. Here recently I purchased on serveral occasions the new 5 in 1 and every can is tacky. You pay 7.00 a can come home spray your project and hours later you check and the entire thing is ruined because its so tacky it is like glue. I have come to terms it's time to retire purchasing this product and move on.

I read the upvc paint reviews on Trustpilot and Amazon so wanted to make a purchase. Reviewers said its best to order some samples first, so went on the Rustoleum website, picked two samples, clicked buy now......and found the only way to buy was to open something called a "Google account" and pay by something called Gpay. I loath Google, so that was the end of that.

Paint delivered to the wrong address twice!

They advertised about the free next day delivery but don't be fooled because they have you chasing them around for your paint getting delivered in the wrong address.

Didn't have high expectations of the kitchen tile paint, but have been very pleased with the results. Completely transformed an eighties brown tile splashback/tile board. Now looks like brand new white tiles. Saved a load of money and time. 3 coats would have sufficed, but have done 4 for a really deep finish. Use a roller for a really smooth finish and keep an eye on those drips, it's not a drippy paint, bit going on sooth surface, so light coats with 2 hour intervals the best. Have ordered the cupboard paint now, instead of using vinyl. Hopefully I will be just as impressed with this. Very highly recommended, especially if you are looking to change the kitchen look on a budget.

Really disappointed - says free next day delivery on all orders - order before 4pm. I ordered before 12 on Thursday and have an email for 11.49 confirming acceptance. Amazon says Saturday - that is not 'next day' it is misrepresentation!

Never used a paint so overpowering in smell. It was not the easiest paint I have used either .poor application

I've used their products for years and never had a bad experience, but this review is triggered by a great experience with a phone rep. named "Dianeanna" I believe. Months ago she helped me with many helpful tips on a project restoring a antique British sports car. She had great patience in answering my many questions. Thanks to her the project is going very well.

KRUD KUTTER adhesive remover: didn't work at all!

I cannot believe that despite repeated emails our paint order has been delivered FIVE DAYS LATE. There is no telephone no. to contact customer services and no reply to my emails today requesting a refund. Extremely poor service. A very unhappy experience.

I call customer service about two 8 piece Enamel paint kits that I purchased. ( Not much pigment in bottle) They said they would give me a refund for the kits, they would email me the form to fill out. I received the form, (what a joke) no way to respond, password needed, all sorts of dead ends that make you give up on getting the refund.

Rustoleum, what happened? Your paint used to be some of the best. The paint itself is still ok I guess but your spray cans are by far the absolute worst out there. The cheap store brands sprayers are far better and their paint is as good as far as I can tell. I just sprayed a outdoor table with your paint and my hand was nearly totally covered in dripping paint where the sprayer leaked and spattered. Spatter also ruined the shirt I was wearing. I’ll share the blame there because I should have changed shirts first but when you’re thinking (wrongly) that the sprayer will control the paint only to where you’re pointing it, you think it’ll be ok. Not with Rustoleum. I cannot recommend it anymore and will probably never buy again.

Says on the tin, no need to sand or prime. Come again? Coverage on first coat is awful. Although I sanded the furniture, I now have a project which is so time consuming, which is to rejuvenate a blanket box. I wish I'd now just purchased a new one. I have been painting for years, being a decorator was my first trade, and I have to say, this paint is the worst I've worked with. I'm now looking at a further 2 coats. I may even need to purchase more paint for coverage, which will now have cost me more than the box itself. Awful product. Never again.

Spent a small fortune on satin spray for white primed cabinets. They look horrendous now. Called rust-oleum for advice, she told me to put the spray can closer. However, all that produces is runs. So I’m left with a $100 plus bill and horrendous looking cabinets

Used to use this all the time, the last 3 cans at 15.00 each from differant stores was an utter waste of money. Full cans that won't spray or will spray one swine then no more. Stores will not refund because used. One time im like oh bad luck but 3 times that's ridiculous.

I bought 2 spray cans from these in their cast iron colour and it was an absolute nightmare. The list is endless but here's a few.

1. After shaking the can for a good 5 minutes, I went to spray and for about 2 minutes just gas came out, followed by spits of the colour, followed by liquid. Every 10 seconds it would manage 1 quick spray of what it was actually supposed to do.

The entire time,I'm shaking the can, holding at 30cm, and following every instruction it tells me to.

2. The amount of bumps it left was insane. It basically turned a flat surface into an overly 3d texture.

3. It doesn't cover how much it says, I believe mine said 1m² per can, the boards I were painting were 70cmx70cm.
I had to use 2 cans on the one board and it was still a patchy mess.

Never buying from these again

Best paint I ever used
I have a jeep wrangler jk 2007.
The bumper front and back are rugged and thick made of hard plastic, however on previous occasions I used a satin spray which I purchased in an motor factors, initially this was ok then after time it left faded marks on the bumpers I tried every products to no avail, I decided to try rust - oleum on the bumpers, the effect was amazing I applied the matt black universal primer and colour all in one, results blew me away, the bumper are now rugged looking which makes the jeep stand out.
Highly recommend this product.

Brought canary yellow all surface paint and it is rubbish i prepped the cupboards before hand and trying to paint was awful patchy took ages to dry very sticky.I then brought a well known cheaper paint and it was PERFECT.Never again will i use Rust-Oleum.NEVER

This is the last time Rustoleum in a rattlecan will ever cause me grief. Tired of preparing an object perfectly to have the paint run, fisheye or lift 24 hours later with the second coat. Garbage. NEVER AGAIN! If Rustolem is bought in a quart can and applied with a brush it wears like iron, but rattlecans are worthless. Returned it to ACE Hardware for refund. Krylon smokes Rustoleum in every category. Unfortunately, the only place you can get is WallyWorld or on line.
