Innovating sailing gear

You can tell that Rooster sailing gear is designed by sailors as every feature has a specific purpose or solves a problem. I have been a customer for over 25 years and I (and my family) always have Rooster kit on when we head out onto the water.

Rooster have always gone above and…

Rooster have always gone above and beyond to get me the kit I need for sailing, on time and at a high quality. Their customer service team are committed to helping with any issues, and the staff as a whole are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

10 years of rooster experience!

I have been wearing rooster kite now for over 10 years now from training in the winter to racing in the summer. They have always been very helpful if ever I had any questions and the website is very easy to operate. The wetsuits are super warm in the cold mouths with my favourite being the Super Therm 4mm Long John as I can layer up and layer down as the temperature changes.

The brand of choice for dinghy sailors!

Rooster is a fantastic company that always shows up in the sport of sailing, supporting at a grass root level and at the elite end of our sport. Great people with knowledge, passion and who engage with the sailors to bring innovative solutions to sailing. Highly recommend and my favourite item is their pro aquafleece top - there is no better in the market!

We have been buying Rooster Sailing…

We have been buying Rooster Sailing equipment and clothing for a number of years. Our son trains throughout the Winter and wears the 4mm long john wetsuit and Junior Supertherm 4mm with the Junior Pro Aquafleece throughout the Winter training and never complains of the cold. In the Summer he wears the light weight Junior Thermaflex 1.5mm top and the Junior Thermaflex 1.5mm Long John and is always comfortable. We are always pleased with the fit and the quality.

Faulty item now replaced

I ordered a cover for a remote control handset which had ink stains and marking on the clear panel you look through to see the controls. I returned it for replacement and was not very happy with the next one I received either, which appeared to be the same one sent back to me, hence I posted a negative review. Fair play to Rooster however who picked up on this and looked into it, discovering that they had received a faulty batch. A new, unmarked one is now on its way to me with a partial refund for my trouble. You can't say fairer than that and it gives me great pleasure to change my negative review to a glowing one.

Failed to Deliver as Promised

Rooster state if item ordered before 3pm then it will be delivered next day. (Delivery - Express Next Day (Order by 3pm Monday-Friday))0
What they don't state is this is an additional premium charge.
As the item was needed for my son's sailing event tonight, I paid the additional 24 hour charge only to have a message today to say my order is delayed.
I now have to tell a 12 year old he will not be sailing tonight.

Our “Express Next Day” service is a premium option that guarantees next-day delivery for orders placed before 3pm, which does come at an additional cost. We’re sorry if this wasn’t clear at the time of ordering. Unfortunately, despite using this service, the parcel was delayed, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this caused.

We always aim to get orders to our customers as quickly as possible, and we truly regret that on this occasion we fell short of your expectations. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Take a day off work to sign for £25 of goods ? I don't think so.

Delivery of a £25 trolley wheel is via FedEx and requires a signature and I can't afford to take a day off work for it.

The abysmal Fedex website makes it practically impossible to tell them to leave the thing in my porch so the whole delivery gets bounced.

Ridiculous. Amazon and any number of other companies leave low-value stuff in my porch every day - I've lived in the same house for 25 years and never had anything go missing.

Regarding your delivery, we completely understand how frustrating it is to have to take time off work to receive a low-value item. The requirement for a signature on your order was due to a recent change in the FedEx API setup, which unfortunately was not communicated to us in advance. Once this issue was highlighted by our customers, we were able to implement a fix to allow more flexible delivery options. We truly appreciate your patience and cooperation while we resolved this.

Excellent sailing kit

Excellent sailing kit, now have bought sailing Trousers, quality is very good, I have had my Sailing Jacket for 2 seasons now and I would say better than my previous Musto and Henri Lloyd. Still looks as good as new.

Fantastic for rowing in too!

We have been wearing Rooster Sailing clothing for around 2 months now. We are an ocean rowing team and have a mix of leggings, shorts, sock, rash vests and aqua fleece tops. The gear has been absolutely fantastic in the time we've spent on the water and no restrictions on movement with rowing or any of the boat drills. We have a great mix for different weather conditions and everything is very comfortable. We love the Pro Aquafleece tops the best as we've faced some pretty big downpours and they've coped perfectly. Highly recommended.

Bespoke customer service

I have fingers missing from my right hand and have always struggled with gloves to fit correctly. Staff were understanding of the issues and accommodating. Once gloves were chosen they made bespoke changes tailoring the glove for me. I can not recommend such brilliant service highly enough and would fully recommend this company and its staff's level of service.
