LED Group ROBUS Recensioni 

I called and spoke to their technical team today to help with a few questions around our Robus under counter spot lights and whether where we had installed the one (above where our kettle stands) might have caused it to stop working. Rob there was unbelievably helpful and went above and beyond, really stunned at their customer service as it's excellent. All our lights across all our kitchen and lounge units are Robus and after today, we wouldn't choose anything else. Also, they answered the phone with a human (!) and there was no hold or wait times. Unheard of!

Bought some LED batten lights around 4 years ago for my business. One of them failed recently so I contacted customer support to see if I could purchase a replacement power supply.
They sent me out a whole new light free of charge. The help and support I received was fantastic I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again or recommend them.

LED was installed by an electrician. After about three years the LED began blinking for no obvious reason. Decided to change it out. The effort to replace the LED required undoing loads of tiny screws and eventually replacing the entire fitting. Rubbish design. Never again!

I have made no order thus far but the level of Technical help I have received from Robert Flaherty is above and beyond. Despite my awkward problem, over the last few days Robert has taken the time and trouble to scrutinise my requirements and provide a number of options. Absolute "Different Gravy" as we say in the Eastend. Well done Robert.

I've only had experience with the rx200d trailing edge WiFi dimmers which were recommended by my electrician.

To compress 3 years of pain into a few sentences:

1. They're unreliable.

2. Hang off a Chinese smart bridge (tuya) as a third party integration.

3. The Robus app is unpredictable.

4. The rx200d modules (in the ceiling) will randomly die for no reason, needing an electrician to replace them.

5. Smart tech support at robus appears to only be one specific guy (who to be fair it's extremely nice and helpful)

6. Lights will randomly unpair and need repairing for no reason, the re-pair process takes a few minutes and needs the account holder with a smart device.

7. The lights won't connect to hybrid 2.4ghz / 5ghz networks, you MUST split them into two independent networks.

8. Rooms / modules will unpair if you don't use them for 1-2 weeks.

9. Retractive switch mode (dimming via button) requires an entirely different wiring layout.

10. Because the robus (or smart lighting app) rely on the Tuya bridge for some automation features they can be extremely unreliable, the sunset / sunrise automation works maybe 60% of the time.

11. The devices say they support Google home, but really it's because Tuya supports Google home, but it has a lot of limits. The Smart life app from Tuya let's you have more control over the lights, it's a better original skinned app which the Robus app is based on - creating a Tuya dev account let's you API control your lights so you can use them with other systems (such as home assistant or fibaro).

12. The lights have a 1-2 second power on delay so anyone who doesn't know your lights will automatically flick them on/off when trying to turn them on, which resets the lights back into pairing mode. The lights will flash for 2 minutes then fail re-pairing, they will stay on but go back into pairing mode until you re-pair them.

Overall for the £500 I've invested on the rx200d WiFi dimmers it's been an extremely poor experience, so much so I've just paid an electrician to REMOVE all of the modules so I can go back to regular lighting. The functionality of Robus smart lighting is clearly a desperate attempt to stay relevant in the lighting industry, but it falls flat on its limited functionality, clunky execution, unreliable and downright frustrating setup.

If you are considering Robus for any sort of smart lighting integration, just don't. I wish I'd gone for Phillips Hue.
