If I could give 10 stars I would. Alessia at Rising Vacations was a true gem. We could not have asked for anyone more thorough and who could have organized a better trip for us. The guides and drivers she arranged were all top notch and warm and personable. We were also very pleased with our accommodations. We are already planning our next trip and she will be the only person we would consider asking to help us.

We experienced Portugal's history and natural beauty through the expertise of Alessia Moro from Rising Vacations. We began our trip in Lagos, where fantastic accommodations were found at the Cascade Wellness Resort. We explored the caves, coast, and history of Lagos. Our driver Phillpe from South Explorers was knowledgeable, providing our foursome with a historical tour of Silves Castle, Cathedral, and Monchique. Arriving in Porto, Premium Tours provided a private walking food tour and wine tasting. Bendidita and Gabby took us to the key points of the City of Porto. We finished at the marketplace. The guides picked up a birthday cake for my brother-in-law and sang Happy Birthday in Portuguese. He was thrilled! It was an outstanding evening. On our second day in Porto, we were picked up by our driver, Antonio, for our excursion to the Douro Valley with a private River Cruise. Antonio was courteous and an expert on the Douro Valley region. The river cruise was breathtaking. Our next stop was the Quinta de S. Tiago-Maos and Irmaos Winery. Rafael was the perfect host. We sampled various wines, each one amazing. The wines were paired perfectly. This place is perfect! Rafael made us feel right at home with a delicious meal!
Carlos picked us up at our hotel. Our first stop was Coimbra, where we toured the University. Our next stop was Fatima, which we found incredibly moving. We concluded our trip in Lisbon. The tuk-tuk tour was a fantastic way to see this incredible city. Oscar did a great job showing us many of its highlights. On our last afternoon, our driver and guide Joaquim took us to the Pena Palace, the 19th-century home of the Royal family. We had the opportunity to explore the town of Sintra, which was charming. Each of our guides throughout our journey was very personable and knowledgeable. They helped to make our trip a memorable experience! A beautiful country and beautiful people!

Rising Vacations thought of everything to make our yoga retreat and vacation absolutely wonderful. Rising Vacations is professional, extremely accommodating, and very trustworthy. We will definitely be taking more trips with Rising Vacations!

We are so incredibly grateful to Alessia for all the care, thoughtfulness, and support she put into helping us plan two unforgettable trips (so far).

Our first trip to Greece (June 2022) was a dream—14 days with our family exploring Crete, Santorini, Mykonos, and Athens. Alessia made the entire process so smooth and stress-free, even with a group of 9 people. Every detail was beautifully arranged, and we made so many amazing memories.

For our second trip to London, Paris, and Spain (March 2025), Alessia once again helped us create a fantastic itinerary. All of the places we stayed were in excellent locations—walking distance from everything we needed, surrounded by great food options, and just the right balance of central and not overly touristy. She also lined up wonderful tour guides for us in London and Paris. We especially loved exploring the British Museum and seeing the Rosetta Stone, and visiting the Louvre in Paris. The experiences she helped us create were thoughtful, fun, and unforgettable.

Unfortunately, that trip took an unexpected turn when we had to return home early from Barcelona due to a death in the family. Even though we had booked our flights separately, Alessia didn’t hesitate to step in and help when we ran into issues. She responded immediately—on the weekend, no less—and went out of her way to help us navigate everything. Her kindness and support during such a difficult time meant the world to us.

Alessia isn’t just someone who helps plan travel—she genuinely cares. We can’t thank her enough and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Alessia was very professional and responsive during the planning process and during my trip. She packaged a trip that included everything that I asked for and more. During the trip, I had everything that I needed to minimize any worry about traveling to a country that I have never visited. The experience was a 10/10 and will use her for future travel.

Our trip was fabulous.

The Azores, San Miguel, is breathtaking. We enjoyed it so much there. The countryside was so beautiful. And the people are so friendly. I would love to go back again someday.

Largos, Porto and Lisbon were wonderful too. All uniquely different but but so enjoyable. I feel like we got great picture of beautiful Portugal.

What made our vacation the best were all the wonderful and knowledgeable tour guides we had. They were all different but equally wonderful. The love of their country always showed through.

I'm so glad we decided to work with Simone (Rising Vacations) to plan and facilitate our Italian adventure! He made planning so easy and had great recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. It was also very reassuring to have him available for help during our trip if/when we needed it! Thank you VERY much, Simone!!!

Simone's attention to detail for each step on our itinerary was fantastic. We had locations, names, phone numbers, detailed directions, and special notes when necessary. These measures made our trip as easy and pleasant as possible. Simone himself is a delight to work with: very understanding, personable, professional, and knowledgable.

Our trip was eight days to Venice, Florence, and Rome in late May/June of 2024. Every tour guide Simone arranged was excellent, and made adjustments to wheelchair and mobility issues with one of our group. Every transport provider was on time or early, professional, and helpful with our luggage.

We would recommend Simone and Rising Vacations to anyone traveling to Europe. He's the best!

We enjoyed a terrific introduction to Andalusia (Southern Spain) thanks to Simone and Rising Vacations. We stayed 7 nights and visited Córdoba, Granada, and Seville. Simone organized every detail beautifully starting with the driver who greeted us at the airport to ensure we had a fantastic experience: lovely hotels in ideal locations, knowledgeable, personable guides, and transfers with drivers who arrived promptly and drove skillfully through narrow streets.
While everything was great, our introduction to flamenco and our tour of Ronda and the White Villages were especially memorable.
We cannot recommend Simone and Rising Vacations highly enough. We definitely plan to work with them again.

We had a wonderful (9) day vacation thru Italy. We started our trip in Venice and ended in Rome. Allesia did a wonderful job of setting up our transportation, hotels, excursions/tours, and overall planning. The trip was an experience of a lifetime and we couldn't be happier with everything.

This is our 3rd trip with Alessia booking for us and it once again did not disappoint. Accommodations were perfect, location spectacular and all of our excursions were impeccably executed. We had a wonderful time enjoying Munich during Oktoberfest and it surely won't be the last time we use Alessia. She is top notch professional and does a great job planning every detail!

I can't say enough positive things about our experience working with Simone at Rising Vacations planning our 12-day trip to the Netherlands, France, and Austria. The recommended hotels were fantastic, the excursions and tours were perfect for our family, and the transfers were flawless. Simone was patient with us in the planning process and customized the trip to fit our family. His attention to detail was second-to-none and made our first family trip to Europe really easy to navigate. He was very empathetic to some personal circumstances prior to the trip that caused us to be extra sensitive about safety precautions, and he made himself available to us 24/7 should we have needed his assistance. Can't wait to work with Simone again in the future!

Alessia planned our trip to Italy and Switzerland including Rome, Florence, Parma, Lake Como, St. Moritz and Lucerne. She has an amazing attention to detail and was willing to spend as much time as needed including countless emails back and forth. Her hotel recommendations were wonderful and all in great locations that were very walkable to the things we wanted to see. Her private guides were exceptional and they took their cues from us about what we were interested in. She was also very open to suggestions from me when I asked her to look into things I had seen online. I would work with Alessia again in a heartbeat!

I cannot say enough about my experience with the planning and executing our trip to Athens Mykonos and Santorini. Our 11 day adventure was packed with daily activities that was coordinated by Alesia. Not one missed step.. not even sure how she was able to pull that off. Wonderful hotels, great tours flawless transfers. Traveled to Europe many times and this was one class experience!

Alessia was awesome, the level of service was amazing . Each leg of the itinerary was well planned and well thought out we were able to experience the culture and history of Italy, and most importantly, that amazing food. she was available if there was any issues and was very accommodating.

If you are looking to plan a trip to Italy and looking for that confident high touch engagement from a travel agency, We highly recommend Rising Vacations, specifically with Alessia. Our 10 day trip was nearly flawless and with any minor bumps, Alessia was there to resolve. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Venice, Tuscany, Rome and Sorrento!!

We started working with Simone in 2019 to plan our trip to the UK. Everyone knows what happened in 2020. Simone stuck with us, getting us refunds when he could, and we attempted to plan the trip again in 2021. Again - foiled by COVID. But Simone hung in there for us! We were finally able to take our trip in September, 2022. The trip was fabulous. Simone took care of us from beginning to end, and had to pivot again when Queen Elizabeth died, changing our plans once again. The accommodations, transportation, private tours, tour guides -- everything was fantastic. I can't recommend this company more.

No words are sufficient to describe what a great job Simone did for our trip. He scheduled it in 2020, and cancelled it. Scheduled it in 2021, and cancelled it. And scheduled it in 2022 and we finally were able to go. He did so much work for us and would not accept any payment from us as we were so appreciative of the time he put in. We have exchanged so many emails over the three years he feels like family. The day we arrived in London it was announced that the Queen had died. He immediately was in touch with us as some of our tours had to change. I can't imagine using anyone else to plan a trip! Thanks Simone.

Alessia was incredibly helpful, responsive and kind to work with. Even with the difficulties that COVID added, she was always very accommodating and made changes accordingly without question. The guides, hotels and transportation she booked for us was fantastic; truly could not have done it better. Overall, I would recommend using Rising Vacations. You will not be disappointed!!

I worked with Simone at Rising Vacations to craft a 12 day trip to France. The trip and working with Simone were superb! With just a little input from me on my likes and dislikes, he selected tours, lodging, and transportation that delivered a travel experience that was worry-free and filled with delight.

What do I like? Food and wine, cathedrals, castles, and art museums. Simone arranged private or small group excursions for all of these. Every guide was professional, knowledgeable, and fun!

When faced with extra hurdles because of the impact of Covid on travel, Simone worked carefully with me to overcome any issues.
