I started with Rider back in 1976 when they served only New Jersey riders. Several times since then I've checked rates with other insurers and have stayed with Rider for 41 years now. I had only one occasion to file a claim and Rider cold not have been more cooperative - painless even! Rider meets all my needs!

You should tell people they need $180 down payment before you give them insurance maybe you should tell us a little bit more info then you did

We apologize if you were not properly informed about our payment plan requirements. Currently you are required to have a down payment of 25%. Normally your renewal invoice would include your payment schedule, but since you had a late term policy change, the renewal amount changed and additional funds were due. Excellent rates and customer service.
My bike broke down 30 miles away from home. For the rate that I have, I did not expect to have free towing. So it was a pleasant surprise for me and through it all they kept checking in to see if the tow truck was there and if I was treated with courtesy. Made a bad day OK.

Cancelled me without me knowing it

I haven't had to use them. But what really upset me was I was driving around for 2 months not knowing that Rider had cancelled my insurance. They said they sent our payment back because it came after the late fee so they cancelled us. So for two months I was riding around with no insurance they didn't even give us a warning. When all they had to do was pick the phone up and call us to find out what was wrong with our mail. So I was very upset with that that they didn't even contact me to let me know they were canceling me because of a late payment supposedly. The payment was made but they were trying to send the payment back because they canceled me and they said my address didn't match up but they had my phone number all they had to do was call me and of problem.

For some reason went to renew my policy …

For some reason went to renew my policy and the credit card transaction did not complete. However, I was given no indication of an issue and was even able to print my new insurance cards. I did the renewal 5 days before the policy expired, however was never contacted about an issue or received any notice my insurance was about to expire. 5 days after the policy expiration date I received a letter in the mail stating my policy was not renewed due to non-payment of the renewal payment.

We are very sorry you had trouble completing your credit card transaction online. Our records show that a message displayed indicating that transaction was not approved on both attempts you made on that date. You were able to print your ID cards because they are part of your renewal offer documents. We also sent you an email renewal reminder on 6/17/17 to make you aware that your renewal payment was still outstanding. Again we are sorry for the inconvenience this caused, but we're glad you were able to get our policy restarted. To avoid any future issues, you can set your policy up for recurring EFT and you will never need to worry about missing another payment. Thanks for choosing Rider!

I have never had a need to utilize the coverage of motorcycle insurance. Thankfully. So, i just pay the premium. Thats why i give it a middle rating. I have no idea how they handle their claims. Im ok with that.

Look for a price at progressive

Look for a price at progressive. I didn't have enough time to switch this year. Rider raises your rate and charges you $7 for upgrade to THEIR website. I'm doing my bathroom over. I'm going to charge them 100. Find another company
