Absolutely appalling company to work for in qualified managers whom lie form clique s bully and intimidate but get away with it I applied for a job that was advertised waited 9month to start then was told to reapply which I as I wanted a local job on starting 3months later with clients in situ there where no care plan s in place I never completed my 6 months due to back stabbing colleagues avoid this company like the plague

On writing this review on behalf of a family member, these groups seem to be great, getting my family member out the house and meeting people ect. Until suddenly they barred all dog including registered service animals, so without noticed my family member was excluded from any and all groups because she can't go without her service dog. They made this decision without any consideration for the mental health of those in need. This had left my family member alienated and it's seriously affected their mental health. Complete disappointment.

Only got as far as interview stage and that was enough.
Unprofessional behaviour from staff doing interview, it like they had no interest whatsoever of being there, no enthusiasm, no positive attitude, dour, uninterested, reading standard questions from a form which only further showed how unprofessional, unprepared and uninterested they were, experienced staff should not be reliant on standard interview questions, Job advertised different from job discussed during interview though they seemed unsure of many facts around the job and certainly different from job description, the only spark of enthusiasm they showed is when I stopped the interview and told them I didn’t want to continue, ( I was utterly unimpressed and so bored at that point ) like it was a relief they didn’t have to be there anymore.

It’s not surprising the negative reviews and why care companies get such a bad reputation with staff like that.

Would not recommend anyone work for this company if the standard of management is of this poor level

SONT WORK HERE! I worked for Richmond for almost 18 year and at first found them to be the very best , good managers and SSW but last few years where hell bullying , lying and stealing by SSW ( who was just a little boy who took advantage of his role) he said he would cover shifts if I got moved but never turned up blaming the support user talked about other staff members even telling them very personal stuff, turned a blind eye when other staff members did not do there work or better still never turned up.
Got so bad that support worker families kept asking for me even O-T s and Social workers would contact me direct but SSW did not like this and got jealous and made life hard if complained about him Mangers had his back by saying thing just a bit of of being bravo, boyish but he’s a nice lad , yes he had the gift of the gab and turned on the nice lad to managers or who ever he needed too. But really not for as a SSW good at the paper work but that was it . Don’t get me wrong there was some nice SSW but a few that took the power of there role and abused it by being a bully and a gossip, to me stealing and lying are the worst crime people in power can do .
So think twice before working here or applying for support for a loved one as you will never know the truth.
Very sad as I loved working here at first just took on the wrong people for power roles and supporting the vulnerable.

I made the mistake of befriending the staff, big mistake they stabbed me in the back after they pretend to be friendly

I would advise employees to swerve this company and find a job somewhere else. I was lied to in the interview by Richard Lawrence, from the East Kilbride service, about the job I had been successful for and when it came to my start date I was given the most difficult community care run, 200 miles for a weekend, £30 petrol, I was told I was going to be doing sleepovers, at the interview. Luckily I had a bank job I could fall back on. I complained to William Brown, Richard Lawrence's boss, he said he would write after investigating, this never happened, just another lie!!! So lie, threat, lie and a final lie from the main boss. They can't be trusted, you're treated like rubbish!!!!!

Staff constantly leaving in the end majority were agency staff would not recommend to anyone

This is another service for my son, the first one (Real life option) was terrible and now I am delighted with my son’s team of care staff as well as team leader. My son is treated with respect and his needs are meet, and as a mother , I have support from the entire team. My son's service is from Dunfermline, I am very grateful for their care and support 💖

Never reply to emails ignore complaints. They eat food and are on the phone whilst in appointments. Discharge you without giving you any proper help and don't signpost you elsewhere. Shocking living conditions in shared living where others are very dirt and expect you to do all the cleaning. Staff are very rude and haven't got a clue what they're doing. Was verbally abused and threatened by a fellow neighbour in shared living and nothing was done. The quality of housing is completely unacceptable disgusting and bad on every level. Staff more interested in going for coffee than giving care. They allow someone live there who leaves hair in the bath and doesn't take their medicines. Kitchen were left in a disgusting filthy state. Always cancel appointments or don't turn up. Avoid at all costs.

As an employee.....I would not recommend this company......bulling at the highest level and covering up mistakes to suit themselves.....Tina (manager) and Megan senior have got to be the most toxic people I've ever had to work with!! Bullied relentlessly but covered up....I'm 53 and never experienced anything like it my whole adult working life.....avoid these people at all costs! Families should be very concerned with loved ones who are being managed by these vile creatures....3 years on I'm still having nightmares about my ordeal
However now working with fife council who are absolutely amazing and make me feel a part of not just a team but like family and loving my job

As an individual contracted to work at one of Richmond Fellowship's supported living projects in Essex, my experience was overwhelmingly negative. There were notable deficiencies in management during out-of-hours emergency situations.

Moreover, internal staff instructed me to adhere to a specific procedure when dealing with self-harming situations, a directive my colleague and I dutifully followed for nearly a year without receiving any constructive feedback. The absence of communication from the internal management left us uncertain about the correctness of our actions.

However, when a complaint was raised concerning the aforementioned procedure, my experience took a drastic turn. Richmond Fellowship promptly distanced themselves from the situation I was told to follow and had me removed off site, leaving me without work and thrust into a highly stressful predicament to that I am still suffering now.

In conclusion, my time at Richmond Fellowship was marred by inadequate internal management, a lack of communication from said internal management, and an unsettling abandonment in the face of adversity.

Horrendous! Was given this company to provide a support package by social services well over 18 months ago however whilst my carer was lovely and tried her best to help with whatever was necessary head office have suddenly changed their “help” criteria. So staff are underpaid, overworked and are now not allowed to help with anything practical at all. Completely abandoned with no notice and now have absolutely no support whatsoever and it has now got to go back to social services to find a new care provider, caused major distress and left me completely vulnerable. The only service they are allowed to offer is tea and chat which is unacceptable when is supposed to be part of a care package put in place by social services. They shouldn’t even be considered useable by social services or on their registers as providers if they cannot provide a full service that is what they agreed to when they took on the contract. If social services try to give you this company to provide care / support refuse immediately.

I was referred to Horsham by my GP. Almost impossible to contact main office. Was paired with an elder man that would just talk about himself the whole time.

Was told about an online video chat meeting which I attended, no Richmond fellowship volunteer present for any of the 6 video meetings I was there for.

Ended up listening to a man and a young girl being rude to each other for an hour and making sexual jokes.

When I complained the video chat group got stopped all together because no one from RF could be present for the meetings! (Which they should have been in the first place)

Asked to change volunteer. Got 2/3 calls from a lady bi weekly, which turned into no calls at all since mid dec. (The hight of my stressors as was due to move house).
I still to this day have had NO CONTACT AT ALL!!!

We also had an art what’s app group taken away without ANY notice.

They actually did more harm than good in the end as someone with BPD, depression and anxiety I have felt abandoned, given next to NO information why and felt alone.

For a mental health support service apart from one or two support workers in my area the service is a diabolical disaster. There has been a skake up in management closure of off the local office, and failed to notify the mental health head of social work .Richmond ceased all group work, so not spending anything on client activities. I'd sincerely like to know what Richmond spend the budget on .
