I wholeheartedly support the effort that Renewables.org is making to reduce carbon emissions and improve access to energy in the Global South through lending. Having installed solar on my own home, I know that it works! but is expensive to do in North America. This org allows me to help elsewhere. I have had several prompt and helpful interactions with the Director, and really appreciate that it was cofounded by the visionary founder of Kiva.org (a highly rated microlending organization), Premal Shah.

I was hesitant at first, so only put in $25 initially. But interacting with their Founders made me feel very comfortable and I ended up investing more. Climate change is the defining issue of our life time. I love that they give me a way to do my part in while giving me a return. Effective altruism at its best. Easy to use so far and my interactions have always been wonderful. Just withdrew my first month's return - so that's a good indicator.
