I was referred to Regency FX (and Mason Taylor) by a mortgage broker and started working with him in summer 2025 while I was setting up UK accounts and planning USD→GBP transfers from the US to the UK. Before that, I’d used my bank for transfers and the rates/process weren’t great.
Mason was outstanding from the beginning. He suggested we start with smaller transfers so I could get comfortable with the process and build confidence, and he explained everything clearly and patiently at each step. When we later needed to move a much larger amount for a London property purchase, Mason recommended using a forward contract over a defined window. He also encouraged us to put the forward in place promptly as the dollar was already weakening, which helped us manage the FX risk and gave us certainty during a stressful period.
I’m based in California and Mason is in Cornwall, but he was consistently responsive, flexible with the time difference, and incredibly reassuring throughout. I highly recommend Mason and Regency FX and will continue using them as we move more assets to the UK.

He has been an absolute star and genuine good guy, and put alot of effort into building trust. He even tells me the best time to deposit my money to ensure I get the best rates.

We were asked if we wanted this service as part of a cross-currency mortgage. I said it might be interesting, and we've been bombarded with calls and WhatsApp ever since.

Following on from my previous review, I'm pleased to confirm that my funds have now arrived safely in my UK account.

Although the initial experience was frustrating — as I was mistakenly instructed to send the funds to the wrong account, which resulted in a delay of nearly three weeks — the matter has now been resolved. Once the error was identified and the funds were returned, my personal account manager guided me carefully through the process, and when I resent the money to the correct account, it arrived within one working day.

The exchange rate offered was competitive, and as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience caused, the company credited £200 to my account, which I appreciate.

While the initial mistake caused significant stress and delay, I'm satisfied that the issue was ultimately resolved and that efforts were made to make amends.

This was the first time I've done something like this and Jamie was reassuring and helpful throughout, making the whole process very easy. Clear, quick and easy to understand communication at all times. Highly recommended!

The Good:

Tobby's customer service was outstanding. He was always approachable, responsive, and helpful across both email and WhatsApp. The WhatsApp option was brilliant for avoiding international call charges. He explained everything clearly without jargon and always followed up our conversations with written summaries. His professionalism is exceptional and a real credit to Regency FX.

The Not-So-Good:

Despite excellent service, I chose a competitor due to a few concerns:

- The platform felt clunky and less intuitive than competitors. Finding the currency conversion rate on my account wasn't straightforward.

- The £1,000 minimum for testing transfers seemed high. Tobby arranged a £500 minimum with his manager, which was helpful.

- However, I was only told after requesting the conversion that the £500 rate would be less favorable than the £1,000 rate. This lack of upfront transparency was disappointing.
Summary:
Tobby deserves 5 stars, but the platform usability and rate transparency issues meant I went elsewhere. With clearer pricing communication and a more user-friendly interface, Regency FX would be very competitive.

Bit of hesitant as this was my first transaction using RegencyFX service. Afraid this was another scam website. Lucky for me to have Toby to guide me step by step from setting up an account with RegencyFX until the transfer landed into the destination account. Overall great experience. Highly recommended

I have a great experience

The level of customer service provided by Toby was excellent - and very important in providing comfort and clarity when transferring a considerable amount. First time using Regency, and will certainly use them again for all my FX requirements.

I was hesitant to use a service like this to transfer large sums of money, as there are so many scams out there. Toby took good care of me. We made smaller transfers so I was not too nervous and he was very patient and helped with the entire process. I would not hesitate to use RegencyFX again and recommend them to anyone who needs this type of service.

The process of money transfer with RegenFC has been very smooth. The transfer typically takes minimal amount of time. It’s Aldo comforting that there is a dedicated fund transfer specialist with whom one can communicate with to get an idea about optimal exchange rates. They are also accommodative on the transfer charges. All together, it’s pleasant to work with RegencyFX team.
