I’ve been a loyal RA Optics customer since my very first order (#1202) back on April 2, 2019. Over the years I’ve purchased six pairs of their blue-light-blocking glasses for myself and my family — they’re simply the best. The quality, comfort, and how much they’ve helped our sleep and eye health is unmatched.
Recently I had a total user-error moment — I accidentally left my favorite red-lens Popp sunset pair in a shirt pocket that went through the wash and dryer. I reached out to customer service fully expecting nothing, but I was blown away by their response. Jacqueline (Chief of Staff) personally replied, thanked me for my loyalty, and kindly offered a one-time courtesy replacement even though it was clearly outside of warranty. She was professional, compassionate, and made me feel truly valued.
RA Optics isn’t just selling glasses — they’re a Southern California company that actually cares about their customers. Jacqueline’s quick and generous help turned a disappointing situation into one that makes me even more loyal. If you’re looking for top-tier blue-light glasses and incredible service, look no further. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Was very skeptical because the price is a bit higher than other blue light blocker brands I've tried, but I am very pleased. These are notably higher quality than any of the others I own and I notice a much strong affect. They lenses are very comfortable on the eyes, I forget I have them on until I take them off and realize how bad the lighting can be in the office and especially from the TV.

Definitely the best in class, other brands are cheaper for a reason.

The glasses arrived in beautiful, high quality packaging and included a protective case and cleaning cloth. Comparing them to my expensive sunglasses, I can tell these frames are made from high quality materials, and the design is beautiful. After about 2 weeks, I can already feel a noticeable difference in my sleep quality. I'm falling asleep faster and waking up less in the middle of the night. I've tried many other blue light glasses, but these are by far the best. Well worth the price, I'll be buying another pair soon.

In a nutshell...

Cheap Chinese glasses with flaws. Stay away especially if you are not from the USA and you have to pay due and tax on top of it. RA Optics handles that too but they probably scam on that as well...

If you are from USA you can try it for yourself as it should be easy to return them if you are not satisfied.

I bought 4 glasses total. 2 yellow/daylight Maxwell came fine although made in China and super cheap plastic...

other 2 Sunset Maxwell had flaws = black dust/spots/specs imbedded inside the lenses=permanent

They have sent me 2 more glasses with other problems even though I have asked specifically to inspect them thoroughly before shipping... absolutely pathetic...

- black specs/dots inside the lenses = permanent
- burnt plastic (temple arm)
- random paint blobs
- chipped plastic (frames)
- unfinished/scraped plastic in some places

Everything screams the opposite of what they say on their site...

Consider yourself warned.

I spent lots of $$ in Ra bundle glasses only to hear from my neurologist - once I got 0 results - brains do just fine with plastic colored glasses from Amazon. I’m most miserable with the blue glasses called pop cause the frames are really heavy but I lost the 30 day return window. They write all over satisfaction guaranteed but …..

Sharing my experience with Ra Optics...

Between the quality, customer service and overall vibe of this brand, I'm a huge fan.

Met the owner and the team at the Health Optimisation Summit in Austin last year. They shared about their scientific advisor who rigorously tests these to ensure the lenses are the best on the market.

Overall, I feel great when I wear these every day. My Oura Ring sleep score improved dramatically. Averaging 90+ now!

I do like these blue light filter glasses. I liked how you could bend them to make them fit your head. It took time to have them adjusted so it could fit me perfectly. I do feel better mentally while wearing them.

A couple flaws is that they are made in China and there are no nose pieces by the nose. So I have to constantly pull my glasses back up and it is annoying. If they put nose pieces on there and these glasses were not made with cheap plastic from China, then I would have given this product a five star review.

I inquired to this company about where they are based and their products are made. They indicated they make their products in China where they are located but ship from California. That’s a good trick. This company has refused to honestly answer my questions. In my opinion this is yet another fake Chinese company. Stay far far away! I’ll update this review if I ever hear back from them.

I think the lenses are high quality and it’s helped me immensely with my sleep and less eye strain. I think my vision may have improved.

My issue is with the frames, I’m fine with plastic frames(my $150 ray bans are high quality and rugged plastic, and they get tossed around and survived 7 years) but these feel flimsy, they have lasted me a few months, but I baby them to not risk damaging frames. I emailed them about it they said it’s some “high quality” Italian material, but idk doesn’t seem that way by the feel.

I could be wrong about the material but I just wish it felt sturdy or that the glasses were cheaper
