Absolutely love what the company stands for.. Its fair trade, no waste company with an absolutely amazing owner Satya, she is so friendly, very kind to her artisans and very transparent to the buyers.. Love the community she has built over years.. Will highly recommend Rangeelaa and all the products they sell..

I have been a customer of Rangeela for about 6 years - I love all the items I have purchased from Satya - the quality is amazing and far above any other wrap skirts I have purchased from other companies- Rangeela does use recycled sarees but never has anything come with stains or worn out areas or snags which is what I have experienced from other wrap skirt companies.

What I appreciate most about Rangeela is they are fair trade and transparent. Satya herself is from India and her family still lives in India and her artisans are her friends. Satya goes back regularly to India to check on her artisans and ensures they have a clean safe place to work - we get to know the artisans through videos that Satya posts when she is down in India and also when she isn’t - We can see the processes from where and when sarees are sourced all the way through to the finished product - no other company does that ! This way it is guaranteed that the item I am purchasing is indeed fair trade and that the artisans are being not only fairly treated but fairly paid- that is important to me!

Another plus to Rangeela is I get to see the sarees prior to picking one so I know what I’m getting which is great ! Also Satya can be reached so a person can text / message with any additional questions they have -

Over the years, Satya had become a friend and I would not hesitate to recommend purchasing from her company - all one has to do is become part of the Rangeela Facebook group and watch the numerous videos to see for themselves how things work !

Satya is beautiful humble genuine human who cares about her artisans and also her customers.

I have been a very happy customer of Rangeelaa since November 2023, having purchased and worn sari-wrap skirts from many other brands for around 7 years. My latest parcel arrived in January this year :)

The experience of buying from Rangeelaa is truly exceptional - I can choose the fabrics I want my skirts or dresses to be made from, give sizing information and the clothes will be made especially for me from stunning second hand saris. I also love that I know which member of her small group of artisans made each piece. The quality of the fabrics and the workmanship are the best I've seen and I have to say that the digital print fabrics that Satya and her team have sourced recently are out-of-this-world gorgeous!

I have not been paid anything for this review and I am not associated with the company other than being an extremely satisfied customer. I just want to spread the word for this small but fabulous business - If you are looking for ethically made clothes that will make you feel special this is the place to shop.

Rangeelaa is a Canadian company that creates beautiful garments from recycled saris and is run by one Indian woman who directly employs a small group of women artisans in India. This direct employment ensures their fair wages and safe/clean working conditions; it ensures absolute fair trade practices. In the Rangeelaa private Facebook group, the customers are given peaks into the lives of these women. It is abundantly clear Satya, the owner, cares about these women tremendously. Satya and the customer group have repeatedly rallied around these artisans in times of struggle in their private lives. The business is truly like a family. And the close-knit FB group is an extension of that family.

Aside from the ethics, these extremely talented women hand pick saris and, from them, create gorgeous custom garments (skirts, dresses, kimonos, scarves, dusters, etc) of unparalleled quality. Snags, tips, tears, stains, etc, which are common in sari garments from some other companies, are virtually non-existent here.

I have been buying from Rangeelaa for several years and will absolutely continue buying there in the future. Quality is stellar, communication is always super fast and pretty much every step of the process is very concisely detailed. There skirts and dresses and not just gorgeous, but they are also made and handled with wonderful care.

I have been buying sari wrap skirts since 2017. I have bought from the USA, direct from India and from France. My collection of wrap skirts easily exceeds 100+

In 2020 I found Rangeelaa. My search for the best company in recycled sari clothing is over.

Rangeelaa carries my preferred skirt lengths and they are truely reversible with an option to have both the front and back skirt layers the same length. The business owner posts the type of fabric each pre made product is made with, so that I can seek out my favorite fabrics (which are soft poonam and “rubber silk” by the way).

The business has also evolved to have the customizing option; where customers first view the sari fabrics, choose one or a pair of saris, then the customer directs the artisans what type of clothing they want made and can choose petite, regular and tall lengths as well as regular, large and plus size widths.

There is also a friendly Rangeelaa Facebook Group where we share tips and styling tricks.

When looking at the Rangeelaa website keep in mind prices are listed in Canadian Dollars. Use your phone to convert CAD to USD and you will see that Rangeelaa prices are competitive with similar companies. Especially when you consider Rangeelaa pieces are the highest quality.
