I have finally realized that Rakuten Insights is nothing but a data-harvesting scam.

I had accumulated a sufficient number of points after a couple of weeks, and I had hit a redemption threshold. I was sitting on around 600-700 points, and my gift cards were supposed to be dispatched on 15-04-2026. Unfortunately, on the day before my reward period, Rakuten suspended my account with no reason at all.

Here is how their fraud works:

Payout Scam: They offer extremely poor payouts for boring surveys that take forever to complete. Once you accumulate enough to get paid out, you have to wait 15 days.

The Last-Minute Ban: They allow you access for almost the entire period before the gift card is due. But then they ban your account from accessing the survey in the last 24 hours.

Data Scam: They are definitely selling our private data to large companies and earning huge profits. However, they act like robbers when it comes to compensating us.

Zero-Point Scams: It happened to me many times where I had to complete an entire survey but was given 0 points right at the end.

My recommendation: Don’t even think of wasting one minute on this scam website. They don’t care whether you are giving high-quality data or not. If you start earning, they will snatch your account.

Rakuten Insights, shame on you guys. Pure scams. Avoid them at all costs.

I am writing this to warn every user: do not trust Rakuten Insight. I have been a member for over a year giving them good data. When I earned a lot of money they showed their true face.

Here is my experience with this company:

* They Stole My Earned Money: I had asked for a payout. Of paying me they blocked the reward section and took my money.

* Zero Support: I sent emails about my missing payment. They did not respond. They ignored me because they already had my data for a year and did not want to pay.

The Soft-Ban Scam: They do not delete your account. They just disable the "Redeem" option so you cannot get your money. It is a scam to trick users.

The Truth, about Rakuten Insight: They take your information. When it is time to pay you they disappear. They took my time, data and rewards.

I will not stop until this company, Rakuten Insight is exposed. They are data thieves.

Terrible. Avoid this site.

As a Japanese l had enjoyed Rakuten’s services but realized they control reviews. My 5 star reviews are there, but 1 star reviews are all removed.

I wrote the reviews to warn people not to experience the same as me. If Rakuten or each shop/hotels can choose reviews to count the stars or to display for other customers, it’s not a real reviews, unfair at all.

I recommend you to DO NOT trust their reviews as they have controlled it.

Ce site vend des produits non conformes au descriptif. J'ai acheté un smartphone redmi note 13 pro 5g qui devait être compatible pour sim électronique, ce qui n'est pas le cas malgré le descriptif plutôt bien exhaustif.
A éviter d'urgence, ce qui confirme les avis en dessous de 2 étoiles.
Mon erreur a été de ne pas les consulter avant d'acheter le Xiaomi.

They won't let me order because I don't have a Japanese. Even if I live in Japan with a Japanese address they cancel the order if they see a foreign name on the credit card. Support is also useless ans didn't try to help me at all. One of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had.

got shut off for no reason been a trusted survey taker for years, lost my 20.00 paypal also

This site has bunch of racists and nationalists!
I didn’t even ask one of their shops to send my order to abroad as I’m currently in Japan. But my order was cancelled because my permanent address is not in Japan. In the past again my order was cancelled because my credit card was issued outside of Japan!
They seem to think if you are from outside of Japan you are likely to be criminals.

I was sold a fake bag on Rakuten Japan from seller Otakaraya Otakaraya.

I have bought many bags from Rakuten over the years and never had an issue until I got all my bags authenticated and one came back as counterfeit from Rakuten store Otakaraya Otakaraya. I put my complete trust in Rakuten as I thought they had very strict counterfeit laws but never again! I have lost over $6k!!!

I will never trust Rakuten again!!! The bag was so good it was a 1:1 copy and trust me I have a very sharp eye for fakes! It fooled me so badly! My lesson learnt is to have each bag authenticated as soon as I receive them.

Never again!!!

Locked out of account. Cannot login or change password. It is impoosible to contact them through any means. My orders were mysteriously canceled with no reason given.
Highly recomended to not use Rakuten.
Absolute nightmare.

My very bad experience, they deliver late

Awful shopping experience. We used them for years and loved them when we lived in Japan so ordered from uk and sent to a friend in Japan to bring back to us, but my items were never delivered, I got locked out of my account and no refund given. Lost about £200. They insist I must send passport photo / proof of address and all sorts of documents to cancel my account so that I can be done with them. No way I would send any additional information to them. Please avoid this company

J'ai commandé des écouteurs le prélèvement a bien sur été effectué, ça pour prendre de l'argent il y a du monde, je ne les ai jamais reçu et deux semaines que c'est en réclamation.
Légalement ça s'appelle du vol à la rigueur de l'escroquerie c'est une pratique courante au sein de votre groupe ?

I bought my disney plus plan over there and my account being new I haven't received the cashback back until now, and it's past 48 hours

Site en Japonais, aucun problème Google Chrome le traduit entièrement en Francais.
Vous commandez Chrome traduit, moi je paye toujours avec PayPal et jamais de problème.

C’est bien moins chère que les sites Français même en payant la douane au facteur qui apporte le colissimo.
La poste Japonaise EMS marche bien et Colissimo prend le relais en France.

8 commandes avec 8 boutiques différentes, de toutes petites boutiques ou sociétés familiales de forge de couteaux. Depuis des années je passe commande.

Dernière commande en février 2020 : Couteau en ZDP189 acier de haute qualité introuvable à prix raisonnable en France.
Souvent les couteaux sont indisponible en France et il faut passer par les USA, et même au US tous n’est pas disponible.
Avec payement PayPal, je recommande.

I always pay with PayPal and I never had any problems.

You can find some knives extremely difficult to have, even in USA.
The Japanese EMS post works well.

For me : 8 orders with 8 differents shops, very small shops or family knife forging companies. I have been ordering for many years.

Last order in February 2020: Knife with a blade in ZDP189 this very high quality steel produce only by Hitachi Metals.

I pay with PayPal and I recommand Rakuten.

Fraudulent company in all its glory.
They are forcing the shop owners to hold all the savings that is chosen by Rakuten itself, including point and more. Killing off small shops.
On top of that the security is as bad as it can be, got my Credit card number stolen twice from this web page (I have a separate card and when i got a new credit card and i only used it on rakuten, i suddenly had extra transactions on it.)
Stay away for your own safety!

Awful user experience from the landing page all the way to logistics. Run away from this company
