I like many others have suffered for many years with hose popping off the connectors even after tightening after each episode, I had been looking for a solution and pleased say my purchase of 3 connectors and tap connector from Qwickhose i am totally satisfied - I will keep my box of other makes for my garden museum - thanks - do they do garden sprays

The logic is great
The logic is great. And I doubt they will pop off
But I’ve installed 3 and all 3 leak…. Badly. Not great.
Expensive and I won’t be buying any more of them.

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry to hear the connectors are leaking for you.
They’re designed to grip firmly and significantly reduce leaks, so if all three are leaking badly it sounds like something in the fit or hose position may not be sealing as it should.
There are a few quick checks that often sort this, including trying the hose in both internal positions, trimming a fresh square end on the hose, and softening the hose end in hot water before refitting.

Bought these and not overly impressed, had to rap the hose with tape to bulk it out and stop it leaking !!
Won't be buying any more.

Our JawGrip connectors are designed to fit most standard 1/2 inch hose, but hose tolerances can vary, and some hose ends need a slightly different fit to seal cleanly.

The fittings seem fine the first time you use them, then over time they start to leak and it is not the hose coming off the fitting it is leaking because you cannot do the screw cap up on the wing pieces.

That doesn’t sound right, especially if the issue is that the screw cap is no longer tightening properly around the JawGrip jaws. We’d like to take a proper look at this and get it sorted for you.

Just recieved my new connecter from qwickhose, unbelieveable i was waiting to have a new outside tap replaced, but desided to try qwickhose. I was very sceptical my first attempt water poured out but with a little ajusting it worked perfectly. I have to add my tap hasbeen leaking for years so what a result wonderful product, i dont ofton write reviews but this was definately worth one thanks. Linda.

Sorry to hear you’ve had this experience. We replied to your email yesterday and offered to either help troubleshoot the leak or arrange a return and refund for you, whichever you prefer.
Leaks can sometimes come down to hose position, hose condition, or how the connector has seated on a particular hose, so we’re always happy to take a look and help resolve it where possible.

I had high hopes for Qwickhose
I had high hopes for Qwickhose, but my experience was deeply disappointing. The concept behind the product—an easy, quick-connecting hose system—seemed solid and potentially transformative. I bought a full set of connectors for two hoses. However, in practice it absolutely failed to live up to those promises. The main issue was compatibility with existing Hoselok attachments. Rather than create a seamless transition, the Qwickhose connectors simply wouldn’t stay engaged.
Despite following the installation instructions and ensuring everything was clean and properly aligned, the problem persisted. The connectors would refuse to secure, and every attempt to use it ended with parts detaching and hoses leaking. Because of these failures, I ended up reverting back to my trusted all-Hoselok setup

From what you’ve described, it sounds like the connection may not have been engaging fully with your existing attachments. Our system works slightly differently to traditional connectors, as the grey collar needs to be pulled right back while the attachment is pushed fully in, then released to lock it securely in place. That said, you clearly made a proper effort to set everything up, and we’re sorry it ended up being frustrating rather than helpful.

Very customer friendly company.
My nozzle sprang a leak after two years. I sent a photo showing the problem and asked if it was still under guarantee. The answer was no but, as a good will gesture they sent me a new one. It arrived two days later. I cannot praise this company highly enough! Their hosepipe nozzle and tap fittings really are leak-proof too.

Great but requires some skill
You have to get to know this tool before it will work properly. Get some boiling water onto the end of your hose (be safe) and then push it on as far as you can then close and screw the cap on. To connect you have to pull back on the end and connect or if you prefer push it hard onto the connector as far as it will go. This takes a bit of getting used to. Once you have mastered it you won’t find a better tool for your hose to connect without any leaks. I’m giving it 4 stars because it takes some skill to learn how to use it correctly.

You’re absolutely right that the first installation can take a little getting used to, particularly if you’re used to traditional hose fittings with internal teeth.
Your tip about warming the hose end is a great one as well. Softening the hose slightly can make installation easier, especially on thicker or stiffer hoses.
You’re also spot on about pulling the collar fully back when connecting a tap fitting or spray. This works a little differently to traditional connectors where the accessory simply pushes in, so that’s another helpful tip for other users to know.

What a fantastic product this is. Really well made and solves all hose disconnection and bursting off the tap problems. Fast and efficient delivery and great contact throughout. This does not work at all with any of…
This does not work at all with any of the hoses we have. We have what we thought were pretty standard size hoses but when you try and couple them up with this, they are all bigger than central piece that you fit the hose to and no matter how you tighten it, water floods out. I notice that many of the comments here say the same thing. It is a great idea but it should be made clear that it only fits small hoses!
