Initial call was picked up by Tricia, very helpful and explained the procedure, the electrician Billy was professional and kept me informed all the way through.
Problem solved, will definitely use again for any other works.
The people who were sent to fix the boiler and to replace the smoke alarms were good in what they do
Problem 1: Had to replace 3 alarms which were bought at £154.73 altogether, including VAT. I was charged £251.61, a whooping £96.88 more!! Unbelievable!! They charge VAT twice! All 3 alarms were bought for £ 128.94 (each cost £42.98) add 20%VAT to that, they bought the 3 alarms at £154.78 I was charged £83.87 for each alarm = £251.61 for 3, right. This total was added to their total hourly rate of £105 x3 =£315.00 for 3 hours Subtotal was £566.61 VAT was added to this subtotal which gave a total of £679.93 VAT was charged twice to the price of the alarms!! Why????? When I called to talk to their complaints department I was told they take 47 days to respond! All nicely planned with the hope that people will forget or give up. Not me!
Problem 2: I was told that their hourly rate is £105 but was charged £120 per hour for the person who came to fix the boiler. Why????
Had issues with my drains causing bad smells, called Quantum and from the 1st point of call found them extremely helpful to my concerns, they sent a drainage engineer within a couple of hours who sorted the issue with no fuss or bother who explained the process to me .
Would highly reccommed and would use in the future for other works also.
