I cannot rate this company enough

I cannot rate this company enough. From the first meeting with designer to final install of our new bathroom, all went very well. Fitters couldn’t do enough for you, we’re very polite and hardworking. After every day before leaving, cleaned up any mess. 10/10. Thank you QA.

Still mesmerised by my stunning new bathroom

QA Kitchen and Bathrooms recently did a complete refurbishment of my bathroom and I'm still mesmerised by the high quality and stunning finish. Many thanks to Rob and the attentive (and patient) showroom and design team, Vicky in Customer Services for keeping me informed of what to expect and when, and to the multi-talented Matt for an expert fitting service which brought it all to life. Professional and accommodation

Rob and Jack were very professional, from the first contact to the end of the process, catering for changing designs and ideas. Matt the fitter was excellent, worked hard to complete the job in a day and left our room clean. Would defiantly use QA again for other rooms when the time arises.

First class bathroom replacement completed on time

QA was recommended by a friend who has had an equally good experience. Ellie at the Shrewsbury office was quick to tune in to our needs and priorities to come up with a plan that exactly matched our requirements.
Dorian, our fitter, is very experienced and sets himself the highest standards.
We were able to make some changes to the plan during the fitting which made the end result even better.
It was a complex project with two rooms being gutted but completed on schedule with the minimum inconvenience to us.
We are confident that our new bathrooms will stay looking good and working well for the foreseeable future and recommend QA without reservation.

Excellent service

Really great experience with QA, Madeley from start to finish. Rob was patient and took the time to understand the specific needs I had for bespoke wardrobes with a hideaway desk. The design team came up with exactly what I wanted and needed.
Jarak and Adrian who fitted the wardrobes, were polite/knowledgeable and tidy. Patient when I changed my mind about an extra shelf for the hideaway desk, coming back a few days later to fit.
Great communication, fantastic customer service from Rob and the team.
Would highly recommend and have already gone back to Rob about another job.
Thanks QA - Madeley - I have a lovely looking but functional hideaway desk and matching wardrobes - my spare room no longer looks messy and cluttered.

Super kitchen design and installation

Super kitchen design, service, communication, workmanship and sorting issues. The design and consultation process was made easy both in the Market Drayton store and by email. The fitting team John and Phil were both excellent, high quality tidy workmanship and dealt professionally with issues encountered along the way. Recommended.

Large project amazing results

I had a very large bathroom project one very small en-suite and one medium bathroom. I wanted to steal from the one bathroom and make my en-suite bigger. Rob designed the whole thing with a very feminine touch for such a big guy. Nothing was no so I got both bathrooms designed exactly how I wanted. The fitters Kyle and Connor were amazing they arrived promptly every morning at 8am and left late at night they worked in two small bathrooms making my dream bathrooms become reality. I have dogs and they were mindful of them and also mindful to keep mess to a minimum my carpets are light grey so we’re covered at all times. The finish on both bathrooms was above my expectations and I can not fault any of the other contractors ie the plasterer and electrician. I asked lots of questions and they explained everything as they went along nothing was too much trouble.

BIG PROJECT ……..NO WORRIES

My wife and I approached 3 companies for our kitchen project.
Quite a BIG job from all accounts that required our kitchen being knocked through to the utility room.

As the funds for this came from my parent’s inheritance, it was VERY important to get it spot on.

We were impressed by QA’s approach. Their knowledge and professionalism was 1st class. From our first meeting through the planning stage to completion QA were brilliant. On budget, on schedule and a fantastic result. Having strangers in you home is always a big deal, but the 2 man team were fantastic. Putting us at ease through the whole process. They brought our dream kitchen to life. Thanks to ALL involved.

We will recommend QA at every opportunity.

Motor Neurone Disease Ready Wetroom

We discussed and agreed for a wet room to be installed to be suitable for my MND condition. The job was started 2 weeks prior to Christmas. Firstly the wrong wall mounting bracket was delivered. The toilet and the sink were mounted 4 inches too high. The toilet boxing was built wider than shown on the image supplied. This meant the sink was too close to the toilet boxing to fit a dissability drop down armrest. Also the wrong size shower curtain was supplied. The fitter kept on advising of problems. When i raised this with office i was told i should not be communicating with the fitter. On the return of the fitter, he dropped the level of the sink and toilet and put them even nearer to each other so again no room for a disability armtest. Also we noticed a number of large holes drilled through the outside wall left unfilled. We then found the toilet lid cover was broken and also the screw mount had been broken and repaired with a wood screw. The bracket that held the wash facility was broken. Then we noticed the toilet seat was creaking and grinding extremely loudly. Then huge bubbles were appearing in the altro flooring. When the fitter returned again he was annoyed because he had been told off and was very off with my wife. Totally unacceptable as these problems were none of our fault. We are now in April and another fitter comes to fit the repair parts dropped off and tells us the wrong items have been sent. So we still do not have a finished wetroom. My MND condition has now become very difficult. To use the toilet I have to use a chair by the toilet to lift myself off which keeps sliding and I have ended up on the floor. I am at severe risk. I keep getting the run around. Nobody replies to my calls. I am on my 3rd person to get these things solved. I am now having to get the local hospice care coordinator involved as I'm at my wits end. This type off stress is definitely not good for my condition and also is not good for my wife with having to care for me also. During these visits i have had to use the upstairs bathroom which is incredibly difficult with the loss of use of my legs. By the time this is finished I won't be able to use it. Shropshire Rehab have now kindly given me a commode to use while we are waiting. I am having a bed put downstairs because of my now lack of mobility. I have had to pay £10,000 in advance for this wetroom 5 months ago. I feel this is totally out of order and inconsiderate. Suffice to say I do not recommend this company in any way. Is this the right way to deal with disabled people.

Firstly my name is Leslie not Lesley. Lesley is the female version which I find insulting. You have the correct spelling.
In reply to your comments. The fitter told us the first frame covered the toilet outlet and had too be changed. Not to do with toilet hight as he did not want to alter the soil pipe. We discussed the toilet height and sink hight but it still ended up 4 inches higher. The fitter told us he had put the wood in to make the boxing. The toilet still ended up being close to the wall and remains that way. It wasnt moved further across. The armrest was discussed with regards to the gap between the sink and toilet. When the sink was lowered that gap disappeared. It was offered to be fitted by you and Steve. Which i have in my emails from Steve. Since then you now say you can not now fit it. I have the one suggested by you and the one suggested by Steve here unfitted. Also the floor fitter said the toilet was too close yo the wall. When he refitted the floor he couldn't weld the floor together and had to use silicone because Steve refused to take the toilet off to allow access. With regards to the floor, it did not take 3 months to notify as you claim. The fitter came back in early in January to complete what couldnt be completed before Christmas. I notified you on January 30th as per email date sent to you. I make that 20 days not 3 months. I have raised my rating as the original work has now been completed. With regards to contact. I did try many times leaving answer phone messages with no reply. Yes you did answer emails. I don't think you appreciate that the repairs have been very stressful with my condition declining rapidly as it has. I am still trying to get the armrest fitted. But we are close to me not being able to use the toilet. Which defeats the original project.

Hi Lesley, we take on board your review and understand your frustration but you have failed to mention a number of points amongst your unfair one star review.

Yes we agree the original toilet frame didn’t suit the height that you wanted it which no one was aware of until this was installed but we ensured this was replaced immediately for you, The fitter discuss the height numerous times with you and it wasn’t until it was fully installed you realised it didn’t work for you so we sent someone out to remove the tiled boxing and replace the frame immediately to resolve this.

The height of the sink was requested by your wife, but again once you realised this wasn’t too your requirements we sent out a fitter to resolve this and reduce the height of the sink position.

CAD designs and drawings are drawn up based on initial conversations between the surveyors and the customers, once this install started there was a discussion between yourself and the fitters which also included Rob our installation manager to keep the toilet slightly further over from the wall to give more space to the side of the toilet for you which was what we did for you meaning the boxing had to be wider, at this time you mentioned for the first time that you wanted to add a drop down support arm as this was never on initial designs / plans. The fitter suggested adding a timber support inside the tiled boxing to allow secure too which again would increase the width of the boxing and was agreed with yourself.

The holes in the outside wall was from original pipework that had been altered to suit your new bathroom layout and we agreed we needed to fill these which I believe has now also been completed.

The creaky toilet sit was due to a manufacturing issue from supplier which I believe is currently being resolved for you.

3 months after the installation you contacted us to say the altro flooring had an air bubble under neath and with a few days we had this fully removed and replaced for you with a brand new altro flooring.

Regarding the “lack of communication” you have been kept informed every step of the way, we understand issues are not want any customer wants and we don’t want them either. When they do arise we do our best to resolve them as quickly and efficiently as possible. We have done above and beyond to make further alterations continuously to your wetroom to alter product positions even after you or your wife have requested they are installed in the original position.

As a company we continue to support our customers and aim to resolve every issue we come across and believe this one star review to be an unfair reflection on the service you have received.

Recommend QA for new bathroom

QA Kitchens and Bathrooms Ltd recently completed an excellent total bathroom replacement job and I am delighted with the results. I used the Madeley showroom from which to make my selection of products. The 3 staff were all a pleasure to liaise with and I was particularly impressed with Designer Ross, who was extremely helpful and friendly. He listened to what I was aiming for, offering suggestions and advice where appropriate, coming up with solutions to queries that were both appealing and practicable, without exerting any sales pressures. His cheerful and humorous personality made the process of designing and choosing the new bathroom, all fixtures, fittings and décor a pleasant experience. The survey was completed by Director, Rob whose knowledge and experience picked up a few issues, the electrics being essential to address and the other an aesthetics one. The decision to spend a small extra sum to enhance the final finish was optional. The choice of tiles and flooring was wide; nothing was too much trouble for Ross and his colleagues to make sure I was totally happy with my selection.

QA employed fitter Jordan carried out the majority of the work over the 2 week period, supported when required by plastering and electrical contractors. I am full of praise for such an excellent fitter: professional, respectful, reliable, trustworthy, clean and tidy, with excellent customer care and liaison skills. He was reassuring when a few issues were experienced with faulty or missing parts (not QA’s fault) which he dealt with calmly and efficiently. In all, a jolly decent chap. In fact every single one of the staff and contractors encountered were a pleasure to communicate with.

If anyone has qualms about being required to pay the majority of funds before the project commences (with just 5% held back until completion) then from my experience in the case of QA there were no grounds for concern. When one is not simultaneously handing over money in exchange for receiving goods, whichever practice is adopted one party always takes a risk of not receiving a fully fulfilled contract. It was reassuring the company has been trading successfully in the county for many years with a deservedly good reputation and has recently expanded.

To conclude, I am more than happy to recommend QA Kitchens and Bathrooms Ltd for quality, aesthetic appeal, value for money, and a positive experience all round.

AVOID!!!! Once they get your money customer service goes out of the window,

Possibly the worst company i have ever dealt with. 3 lots of different fitters, lost days waiting in for them to arrive, parts missing, fitters going off to other jobs. Avoid this company at all costs. No one takes your calls , no one calls you back. 2 weeks in and we are still waiting for a tiny en-suite to be completed. Only had to fit a new enclosure, shower unit, under sink cupboard, light and radiator. Originally told 2 to 3 days work and would be completed in one go. Lies, Lies, Lies!!!! Anything to get your business!

Popped into the Shrewsbury branch to enquire about a new kitchen , I was greeted by Jack and Vicky they made me feel comfortable from start to finish no pressure to buy from them, which made the experience professional and enjoyable.

Efficient delivery and considerate, professional installation and finish.
Excellent customer service follow ups during installation to ensure we had running water and cooking facilities throughout and to make sure we were completely satisfied with everything as we went along. Could not have asked for better and at such a good price too. 100% recommend
