Avoid Cake.com Bundle – Major Issues with Workspaces & Support
I upgraded to the Cake.com bundle and prepaid for a full year, expecting a seamless experience across their services (Clockify, Plaky, and Pumble). Unfortunately, it has been nothing but frustration and lost productivity.
Key Issues:
Faulty Registration/Login System – Upon upgrading, their system created separate workspaces for each service instead of linking them under my paid account. This was entirely caused by their flawed setup.
Loss of Access – Once my trials ended, I lost access to certain features on Plaky and Pumble while only Clockify remained upgraded. This meant my team couldn't communicate, and I lost valuable work time.
Multiple Days of Downtime – After multiple support tickets, they finally extended my trials as a temporary fix, but only after I had to push them for a resolution. I didn’t even receive the activation form they promised until I opened yet another ticket.
Guest Account Errors – I faced repeated "NaN errors" when trying to add guest accounts to Pumble, further limiting my team’s ability to work.
No Refund Policy Despite Service Failure – After losing too much productivity, I decided to move to another service and requested a refund. They refused, even though they admitted the issues and couldn't provide a timeline for a fix.
Unresolved Issues Even After Cancellation – Even as I finalized my cancellation, they still hadn’t been able to merge the workspaces into a single, functional account.
Final Verdict:
Cake.com’s bundle is broken, their support is slow, and their refund policy is unfair. If you rely on these tools for business, stay far away unless you’re prepared to deal with major headaches and lost productivity.
