This was a great experience. It made my college essay writing experience a lot less anxiety-ridden and I felt ended feeling proud of the essays I had written. The advisor I met with was quick with her feedback and always refined my essays to be succinct but powerful.
And the proof is there: I only got rejected from two schools.

Prompt exceeded my expectations with regards to college application essay help. I knew we were signing up for essay help, but I didn't realize that the coach would also help with the activities lists and short-answer questions too. The coach even helped with the extra scholarship essays too for the schools in my package. Our coach was very quick to respond with quality feedback, and not just grammar corrections. Some of my son's essays went through 7 or more revisions. The essays turned out much better than they would have with just me giving him guidance.
Worth every penny! My son ended up getting a full tuition scholarship and a science fellowship to one of his top choice universities. Prompt was a big factor in his success and made the college application process a lot less stressful for him and me.

My husband heard about Prompt on our local public radio station, after looking into it a bit more we decided it was perfect to help our son organize his applications and write the essays. The process provided multiple places to reflect and generate ideas. The actual essay coaching was superb. Rebecca provided very thoughtful and precise feedback. The 3 school and common app package was a lot of work, including all the school specific essays. It helped to have someone besides a parent involved in the process. In the end it was worth it, he will be attending his 1st choice school in the fall, MIT!

So, for the $, the essay quality was just ok. They let my son write 2 essays on the UC common app that were not even answering the prompt. One was about a hardship and how it was academically challenging, etc. and the topic they helped him pick was not academic at all.

In the end I sat with him for hours afterwords and reworked all his essays. We changed 2 completely and revised heavily the rest. For the $, I would not do it again.

He got into some good schools, but I'm sure the Prompt essays would have hurt him and I'm thrilled at what we did on our own.

Coach Emily was excellent at helping my daughter choose topics to write about and was a superb editor and supportive throughout.

The Prompt essay coach services were a great value from my (parental) perspective. They encouraged time management, and even though the essays were not completed until the 11th hour, our coach was available. This process is very stressful, and the multiple essays that selective schools require make this service even more valuable. If you anticipate that your student is going to be applying early to selective schools, and facing a time crunch during the first semester of the busy senior year, having a neutral third party reviewing and editing is helpful in maintaining a buffer between student and parent.

Let's face it, the college admissions process is overwhelming. Prompt helped my student craft an amazing common essay. His coach's insightful feedback allowed him to strengthen his essays while adding his own vision and writing style. The overall process helped him stay on track to submitting applications on time. The results speak for themselves. My student's writing skills have significantly improved. The self-reflection needed to craft the essays also improved my student's self-confidence. My experience was really great. Prompt helped me make sure that my writing was perfected and really helped look at my essays with another eye. Video calls could be scheduled when I needed it, so everything was so flexible for time, yet they still kept me on the timeline that I specifically requested. Our experience with Prompt was great. We didn’t know what we didn’t know until we hired them. We worked with an amazing writing coach named Jessica. She took her time to learn what was important to my son and helped him mold his essays to support his college goals. He was applying test optional to all his schools and was accepted to 11 of 12.
