This gym is for serious bodybuilders and for enthusiastic people who are willing to make a change. Its a completely different style than all the corporate gyms in Yeovil, packed with equipment and free weights along with lots of cardio stuff, makes you feel that you’re down to business as soon as you enter the gym.
Along with very friendly staffing. I love this place.

Best gym in Somerset! Trained here for over 3 years, was always welcomed with a smile, staff are very knowledgeable and happy to give a spot! 10/10 gym

Progress is an amazing gym I just live to far away to keep my membership going, however when I do get a chance I will be in and a day pass or I will purchase a punch card and use when I can get there in good time.

I’ve been attending progress gym on and off for around 8 years. Their continuous effort at reinvesting into a variety of new kit and the care of their equipment is a breathe of fresh air compared to other gyms. Would definitely recommend.

Progress Gym is by far one of the top gyms in the area if not the country!! The atmosphere, members and staff are on an elite level. They welcome you in as if you have been there for years and are always willing to offer advice or just be there as someone to talk to.

Progress was amazing, friendly and helpful staff, unfortunately I couldn’t continue due to life commitments but I hope to be back in the future!

This is a seriously good gym. The range of equipment is amazing. Having the ability to use a ‘traditional’ gym but also having access to the functional / lifting facility is a complete game changer. There is nothing you can’t do here. The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly. The staff obviously put in a lot of training and effort on customer service.

This gym is honestly the best gym I’ve ever been too!
Im not the most confident in a gym setting but I feel so welcomed and completely at ease at progress.
The team are just fab, always a hello from them, know your name and always on hand.
The equipment is clean & tidy and there’s everything you could need.
I love the fact that it’s duel site
So you really can mix up your training and have the best of both worlds.
You 100% need to check progress out, wether it’s a quick drop in whilst in the area or as a member, you wont be disappointed!

Amazing Gym. If you cannot find gym equipment you need in here you are never going to find it. This gym has everything. Amazing staff. Knowledgeable, frielndly PT's and a fully stocked shop. The only one thing wrong with this Gym is that there isn't more of them. Please go visit if you are in the area. Not to be missed.

The owner Rob has invested in a wide range of kit to cover all your training needs. It caters for all age groups and abilities.

You’ll get a friendly greeting on arrival from him and all his staff who are always on hand to give advice should you need help on the equipment.

Progress Performance is separate to the Gym offering Endurance training, Spin and Group classes.

Progress has Personal Trainers available for 1 to 1 sessions. They will compile training plans, support and motivate. Helping you achieve your goals.

If you are new to training, trained before or just want to get fit I would highly recommend Progress Gym/Performance.

Welcoming atmosphere which makes everyone no matter their level comfortable. The family atmosphere of the gym is fantastic the staff are even better. Saying hello on entry and exit pulls everyone together as one team who all want to improve. I have never felt more comfortable in the gym as a woman before.

Progress Gym really lives its slogan that it is 'more than a gym'. Yes, it has a fantastic array of equipment that is regularly updated. Yes, it has recurring classes and programs of specific interest. Yes, it has private showers and changing rooms. Yes, it has personal trainers. Yes, it has a gym shop with clothes, protein, healthy snacks, vitamins, and nutritional supplements. Most importantly it has a dedicated owner and staff who know know your name, who are knowledgeable, who are supportive and who are willing to help. I attend several times a week and have sense the gym opens. I always leave in a better mood than I arrived.

Progress has an exceptional range of equipment to match the goals of all gym users. The very best Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Nautilus, Atlantis and Cybex machines and more are available to use. There are dumbells from 2k to 80k and a varity of different bars to lift with. There are also a broad range of cardio machines.
The gym is even split into two areas, onw which is in a more traditional gym layout and another which is excellent for more of a functional style of training.

Their staff are highly knowledgeable and very approachable, and help create a very warm, positive environment in which everyone can enjoy their training. The members are all very supportive and respectful to one another.

We joined Progress Gym around 6 months ago as it was recommended by a friend. We have to say that it has been a great find. They are both professional and friendly and we found the atmosphere in the performance studio was warm and inclusive. There are personal training options and we worked with Liam. His knowledge and training style suited us perfectly and we feel that we really benefited hugely from this. Tan and John Forsyth

Friendly knowledgeable staff, more equipment than I have ever seen in 30 odd years of visiting gyms. Proffessionally run classes suited to all abilities and great post work out facilities, showers etc. All in all an excellent place to work out with lots of great encouragement and advice. All the staff are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Not at all intimidating with a broad range of users. Excellent and plentiful equipment. A great place to train!

Extremely well equipped, clean and tidy gym. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to help when required.

Would be unfair to give a 1 day only review. Progress Gym constantly strives to be the best. Access to the best equipment and supported by the best staff and personal trainers who are always willing to support and provide guidance, help in all aspects to ensure you are able to get the most out your daily session. I would definitely recommend Progress Gym to seasoned lifters and would encourage never been to the gym and need to lose weight , look trim , lift heavy weight type people to try it out. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve got a ‘classes only’ membership but the gym is excellent. Great range of classes every evening and morning (although I only go evenings). The trainers are very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. And the other members make you feel extremely welcome.

Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always show a smile.

Everyone is welcome and I don’t feel people are judged on their shape, ability or size, just shown respect for making the effort to show up.
