Welcome to Prevent Not Cure (PNC), your trusted partner on the incredible journey of motherhood. We're a team of passionate individuals with diverse backgrounds who share a common goal - to support and empower pregnant women through optimal nutrition. PNC was born from a unique collaboration between a scientist and a worried pregnant mother, each driven by their own personal experiences. During my pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and required to monitor my blood sugar levels every day. Up to this point, I was feeling well prepared for my baby by focusing on designing my baby's dream nursery, buying a fancy pram, and lots of cute clothes but in hindsight my diagnosis made me realise that ultimately, without health, everything else can start feeling much less significant. This came as a huge surprise as I considered myself to be relatively healthy with no family history of diabetes. This led me to really dial down on my nutrition as I wanted to give my baby the best start in life and that began with how I fuelled my body. PNC was founded to support mothers aspiring mothers, pregnant mommies-to-be, and mothers breastfeeding or cooking up yummy meals for the kids once they are on solids. To get the best advice on nutrition, I have partnered with my good friend, a scientist with a background in pathology labs at a prominent NHS Trust in London, that saw firsthand the critical role that nutrition plays in overall health. Fuelled by a desire to make a positive change and determined to provide better resources for expectant mothers, I decided to combine with his partner's scientific knowledge, thus giving birth to PNC.
