Terrible company. Took my money without delivering the product. Avoid at all costs.

Please take note of negative reviews, item did not arrive ,no answer to emails and calls. Buy your gear elsewhere

I ordered 4 bivvy bags before the bank holiday weekend with guaranteed 24hr delivery. After 2 days passed I emailed asking to cancel the order as I needed them for the next day and had to purchase the items elsewhere for my trip. The items then arrived a total of 4 days later and I have been unable to return them. I have sent numerous emails to arrange a return/ refund with no reply and no one is ever available on the phone number provided.

Sent back item for refund. No response from them. Emailed with proof of delivery back to them still no response. Tried calling they do not answer the phone. Now trying to resolve via paypal buyer protection.

UPDATE:
Our missing set of mess tins arrived very unexpectedly and without notice in the post yesterday (15/11/20) and has solved the problem nicely. We're happy campers again (or will be post-lockdown). The package even included a small free gift which is much appreciated. Hope the company is now on the mend.

Ordered a set of British Army mess tins on 4 October 2020 and some hexamine tablets. The latter arrived very quickly and are a great product at a really good price. Brilliant. Unfortunately the mess tin set received was the wrong item. My first phone call and email was ignored. My second email was answered with an apology, the problem acknowledged and a promise that the correct item would be put in the post on 8 October 2020. As at 10 November 2020 I am afraid we are still waiting. I returned the wrong item by registered post at my expense.

Prepare for Adventure has now failed to answer: two phone calls, one registered letter and three emails to sort this out. The product ordered is now shown on their website as out of stock (as at 10 November 2020), although it was available at the time of ordering. My request for a refund has not been acknowledged and I have not received compensation for returning the wrong item.

If the company is struggling under COVID then a banner on its website to ask for patience and an assurance that customer queries will be dealt with would be helpful.

Ordered camping mat from this company, after few days the delivery came with the wrong product. Two emails sent - no reply yet (emailed 3 week ago). There seem to be a pattern of poor customer service and communication. Avoid if possible.

I ordered a filter water bottle, then rang the following morning at 7am to cancel as didn’t need it, I spoke to someone who said he should be able to stop it, but it was delivered two days later, so I returned it with proof of purchase and a cover note, This was 4 weeks ago, no reimbursement of my payment, no answer to my email, no answering of the telephone, appalling behaviour from a retailer.

Returned an item weeks ago, no refund or email. Nil correspondence back from company. Next step trading standards

Posted the order, arrived a couple of days later. Missing an item.

Doesn't respond to emails, phone calls, FB messenger, calls to mobile.

Don't bother. Plenty of other shops to buy from

What a good find this shop was, had a good browse on the website then noticed they where only 40 mins away, placed an order online and chose to pick up from store, received an email about 15 minutes later to say my order was ready to collect.
I ended up buying more items once I got to the shop, there are hardly any shops in the country specialising in hammocks, it makes all the difference to see them set up rather than looking at pictures on a laptop.
My new camping shop for sure, see you soon guys👍

You have enter your details to see what the delivery costs would be and then they use that to say you’ve ‘subscribed to their mailing list’ and spammed me with emails to ‘complete my purchase’

Just received my Dutch M90 sleep system and its a beast

I ordered online here recently before coming here to read reviews. I ordered on the 31st of August, a bank holiday.
On the website it says to allow 48 hours for shipping on holidays, so fair enough but after 3 days of not being shipped i got concerned and looked here.
After seeing recently negative reviews i left it a few more days before raising it with paypal and putting a claim in on the 7th of September. On the 8th of September my order was shipped and recieved 2 days later. It's what i ordered so i'm happy.
Long story short, took too long to ship but i got my order, just some communication to say it would be delayed would have been nice.

Ordered a camp stove on 14/8/2020. Going camping tonight 24/8/2020. Not received, no response to 2 emails and a phone call. Do they still exists? Will I get my money back? Certainly;y won't use them again, AVOID.

Honestly probably the worst company i've ever dealt with. At the beginning of June I ordered a DD Hammock and Tarp combo, they delivered a hammock and underblanket. After several unanswered emails and phonecalls i eventually got through and explained the situation and the guy said he'd email a return label, but did explain the correct iten was out of stock so i'd have to wait. Annoying, but slightly understandable considering lockdown etc. A couple of days later they had to be reminded to send the return label. Looking at their website now, it appears the hammock is back in stock, yet i've not received anything. Since the original call i've probably emailed 3 times, honestly phoned maybe 30/40 times, all unanswered. I've left several messages with no reply. Shocking lack of customer service. I've even emailed DD directly to try and shed some light. Nearing the end of August this still has not been resolved and we are out of pocket, the next stop is to contact the credit card company.

I stupidly only checked trust pilot after the initial order to see many similar stories. I don't believe for a second that the four or five glowing reviews all posted within a few days of each other at the end of July are real, it just doesn't make sense when you look at the other reviews.

If you're for some reason still considering a purchase with these people, just try ringing them first, I'll bet you can try ten times with no answer. That's what will happen when they mess up your order.

I made an order, they took my money and have not sent my order in two weeks. I have phoned, emailed, texted and used social media to contact them but they are ghosts. Will now have to make claim through credit card company to get money back. BEST AVOIDED IN MY OPINION!

Ordered a Solo Stove in early July. Item not delivered, no response to telephone calls or emails. Am claiming a refund via credit card chargeback which of course is a long and painful process. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company.

made my purchase and they arrived in good time. One of the things i ordered was wrong so i emailed and explained that this was not as advertised ect. Recieved an email back asking for my phone number to sort out the issue. They said that they were aware of the mistake already, (yet remained quiet until i reached out). We aranged for me to send it back and i was to recieve a refund for that said item. I sent this back 2 weeks ago!! And have still not recieved my refund. All attempts of contact are being ignored. So i have opened a claim with PayPal. 🤷‍♂️
