Nothing ‘precise’ about them.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, I think this is my first one in fact, but I have no choice with this one.
My Wife recently booked her car in for its MOT here, during which they changed the oil. Only, they didn’t put the oil cap back on afterwards. After 5+ days of driving around the smell of burning oil obviously became very apparent. So my Wife contacted the garage again once she realised the issue. There was no apology for this mistake, only trying to excuse it by saying “it’s only been a couple of days, it’ll be fine”. Whilst the garage cleaned up the engine and redone the oil they offered my Wife a courtesy car. The car had no fuel. So my Wife kindly offered to put fuel in it with the agreement that she’d be reimbursed once she returned the car. When she came to collect her car and drop off the courtesy car repayment wasn’t made but was promised later on once my Wife had provided her bank details. She done so but no payment was made. She contacted the garage asking for payment, no apology, just delay tactics. A few days passed and still no repayment so once again she contacted the garage, only this time she was met with silence. No response to her messages at all. At this point I contacted the garage myself and received an instant reply, highlighting the fact that they were simply ignoring my Wife and hoping she’d go away. I was then myself promised that payment would be made the following day. Of course, it wasn’t. So eventually my Wife had no other choice but to go back into the garage and demand repayment before she’d leave. Even at this point, one of the staff apologised but ‘Paul’ the owner did not, just excuses and a clear lack of interest! Eventually my Wife got her money back but not before she was forced to voice her opinions strongly in front of the staff at the garage. This place is extremely unprofessional, lazy, rude and frankly just not trustworthy at all. Our business will be conducted elsewhere in the future and I’d highly recommend avoiding this garage completely. I fully expect to receive a reply to this review, no doubt making more excuses, although I do wonder if we’ll get an apology from the owner this time? I won’t hold my breath.
