Damaged $1,949 robot, exchange approved in one day, then 26 days of silence and a return box that never existed
I ordered a $1,949 Dolphin Premier. It arrived August 6 in a destroyed box, with the unit damaged, the filter closing valve missing, and the robot not working. I sent photos the same day. To their credit, they approved an exchange the very next day and admitted in writing that the condition of the unit was not acceptable.
That is where it stopped. Four of my emails went unanswered, one for six days and one never answered at all. On August 14 they told me in writing they were shipping me a replacement box so I could pack the unit for return. On August 19 they gave me a FedEx tracking number for that box and told me to wait for it before packing anything. On August 27, after I reported the tracking had never updated, they told me they do not send return boxes and that the number was actually my return label. I lost thirteen days waiting for a shipment that never existed.
I have asked four separate times for a supervisor and have never been given one. Nearly a month in I have no working robot, no refund, and a pool I could not clean during the hottest part of the season.
The initial response was polite and the exchange approval was fast. The follow-through simply did not exist. If your order arrives in good shape you will probably never see this side of the company. If something goes wrong, be prepared to chase them for weeks and to be told that what they put in writing was a misunderstanding.
