Unprofessional worst Solicitor company to deal with special with Claire White no reply to email no reply to phone calls

They have no sense of urgency, continually fail to keep in touch, missed key updates from us causing delays and ultimately to us losing a purchaser. I am not surprised that they have closed down. Our initial month seemed ok but it rapidly went downhill after that, good riddance!

I need to write my review even if it's going to be the last one. Not surprised the company has been shut down by the SRA. I lost over £15,000 because of this company. We are in the process of going to court, charging them with professional negligence. They did nothing about my property transaction and only called me on the completion date to disintruct me. Imagine. Just Imagine.

How this company is allowed to trade is a mystery. I have never in my life encountered such unprofessional people, who don’t care one iota about their customers. Talking to someone about my urgent conveyancing was impossible, I would be talked down to whenever I did manage to speak with someone, and the buck was passed from advisor to advisor. Had I not been so far into the journey I would have abandoned the firm, but I persevered much to my stress and anxiety. The company has now folded which will come as no surprise to ANY of its customers, leaving me, and thousands others in the worst position possible. The people employed here shouldn’t be allowed within a hundred metres of a law firm ever again! If i could rate minus 100, I would!

Appointed September 2025. Here we are February 2026 and still no further on than when we started. Staff are rude Jacob Loveless team have no knowledge, do not return calls or respond to emails and cannot answer simple questions. Avoid at all costs. Found out they have now been closed down by the SRA. Luckily we had not parted with any money just a lot of time wasted to have to start again.

I was in the process of selling a house, gave PM lawyers instructions to do the whole legal process. Within a couple of days the website was down, phone calls unanswered, the app "under maintenance". I then googled the business and read that they gone bust... lost my initial deposit I paid and all this within 3 days of signing up with them.

Very poor my completion date was on Monday by Tuesday nothings been done and cant get hold of anyone after I paid all my money.

The worst 'lawyers' that have ever existed, especially James Wood. Never getting back to the other side, losing documents and lying about not receiving documents, causing as much delay as possible for no reason, never answering, hardly liaising back. My mortgage process was delayed by 3-4 months thanks to them.

Supposed to exchange today. Had all our money and mortgage funds. Literally shut the door and switched phones off. We don't know what will happen now

We were due to complete today.

They received our deposit & fee payment last week. Our mortgage funds were released today but have found out they have gone into insolvency.

SRA are being useless. The phone lines on the number giving is permanently engaged and the emails are bouncing back.

Anyone been in this situation before or can help?

Do not use this compony ,WARNING,,,YOU WILL REGRET IT.
this is the worst solicitors there is.
There is no point singling out one problem. They are the problem.
What a diabolical shambles of a solicitors office, they really are.
Under no circumstance should you use them .as you will be looking for a new lawyer to take legal action against them.

I'm supposed to complete my house sale today, all phone lines engaged for the entire morning, fines will be imposed on myself and my buyer and these will be forwarded onto PM Property Lawyers.

Great diligence and attention to detail, friendly service and great advice on key matters.

Absolutely ATROCIOUS customer service! I started the buying process in June 2025, and here we are almost in February 2026, and still chasing enquiries. For the record this was a straightforward sale with no chain either side. I have been ignored, postponed, let down, and continuously neglected. I have had to do most of the legwork myself, adding to the already stressful situation which is buying a property. The staff are rude, nonchalant, unreliable, tardy to name but a few. I have absolutely NOTHING positive to say about PM Property Lawyers and at this point I’m not even confident we’ll get to completion. AVOID at all costs, please!!! I will be reporting to the Legal Ombudsman and seeking compensation

I did not in fact get to complete as PM Property Lawyers folded on the week of my completion leaving me in a nightmare situation. I wish I had never set eyes on this company, they have ruined my life

DO NOT USE.

We have already wasted £4000 on removals that came, packed the house and unloaded due to incompetent solicitors.

We are now waiting to book removals again. Everything is ready to go supposedly besides 1 statement. They can NOT seem to get this over the line. The lack of communication is diabolical and we are now camping back at our house wondering if we will ever move. Our buyers are waiting to get in and our sellers have already had to get a bridging loan and move out.

It is beyond a joke. Have tried phoning again this eve to get hold of a senior manager. Our lawyer has gone home for the day, sent no update and is on leave for 2 days. We are supposed to be completing on Weds.

I can't give 0 stars but DO NOT EVER use this company unless you want to go through hell.

Extremely poor service. More than a week after I was supposed to receive the contract for review I am still having to chase for an update, let alone the product I have paid for. Entirely useless.

I will not use this firm again and highly recommend anyone considering them does not.

From start to finish, this was an absolute disaster. The entire process was unnecessarily prolonged, deadlines were repeatedly missed, and basic tasks were not handled in a timely manner. Due to the lack of competence, the buyer almost pulled out of the transaction altogether.

We then had to wait months to be paid back. PMPL failed to pay the lender on time, which resulted in interest charges that we should never have incurred in the first place. Chasing for updates became the norm, and clear communication was virtually non-existent.

Overall, the experience was extremely stressful and poorly managed from beginning to end.

The only positive aspect was our most recent lawyer, James Wood, who was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, this came far too late. The individuals we dealt with previously were extremely rude, unapproachable, and unhelpful, which only added to an already frustrating situation.

I would not recommend PMPL to anyone.

Rubbish firm, stay away

DONT use this company avoid at all costs would not have given 1 star but had to to review. There communication is abysmal dont respond to emails from estate agents or buyers solicitors . Have been trying to sell a property with no chain to cash buyer for 9 months and still not able to complete ,a complete an utter shambles and very unproffesional would avoid at all cost ,

The initial online system on the Valerie Holmes website is excellent. It has improved alot since last year too. Everything can be done remotely at your convenience and messages are answered promptly within 24 hours. We have been able to complete all our "paperwork" remotely in a different country. Daniel Blackburn has looked after our case and checked everything if we made a mistake. The ID check was different to last year and even more amazing how it linked to your passport and bank.
