From the first phone call everyone I talked to were professional, respectful and kept us up to date with appointments and delivery and fitting. Barbara was very professional, communicated well with my elderly mum and was very patient with her. Communicated well regarding arrival times etc. The finished curtains and sofa and pouffe cover were beautifully made and fitted perfectly. My mum and ourselves were delighted with finished product. However they were expensive. All in all very professional and good service.

We have just taken delivery of our two sofas, which have been beautifully reupholstered in very good quality fabric, by Plumbs and we are delighted with them. There were hiccups during delivery, but that was due to the individual who was due to deliver and we cannot blame Plumbs for any of that. The lovely Claire at Customer Services was an absolute gem and sorted things out for us. We cannot thank her enough!

The fabric which I found on the web and of which I was able to have a sample has been very successful coordinating with existing fabric and the cushion covers and armrests.

Very pleased with the quality and fit. Colin took extra care to make sure the covers fitted perfectly especially with the difficult recliner chairs. My furniture has been given a new lease of life.

Polite and efficient staff. Arrived on time when they said they would. Furniture delivered at stated time. Furniture looks as good as new.

Terrible refund policy. We paid a deposit of over £1,000 for reupholstering our sofas.
We were contacted two weeks later to be told that the fabric had been discontinued. There were no other fabrics that we liked so we asked for a refund.
Nine days later we still have nothing and we have chased up twice including today and we are now told that it will take 28 days to get our money back. When we asked why we were told ‘that’s just how it is ‘.
This is unacceptable considering that most companies refund in about 5 working days at most.
We have now had a quote for better fabric at a far cheaper price.
I would not recommend using this company.
The response from Customer Service has been more like a brush off.

My consultant Lorraine was fantastic, choice of fabrics varied and of good quality.

I am unhappy with the armchair cover they spend most of the time sticking out so I am constantly having to push them back down. Some of the stitching is not good with ends of cottons hanging down. The corners on the covers don't tuck under as well as I expected. This is why you only got 3stars.

My Multiyork Sofas are 26 years old and I have repaired them regularly. Our beloved dog has spent years scratching and digging down the back and yet there are surprisingly few signs of damage. I have mended several small holes. Unfortunately the husband has negligently spilled ink between the cushions so it’s now time for a professional repair please. We have mended lots of rips and tears in the foam cushions already so I want to keep that work please. However I’m anxious that we use high quality fabric and YKK zips and achieve a finish that’s both relaxed enough to be safe and sufficiently tight to look smart. We’re happy to pay the cost of a quality repair although feel that the work I’ve already put in should be acknowledged in the costing of the job. I like the idea of people taking photos of the work in progress and will take some of my own. Plumbs is missing a trick in its responses to customers when it fails to describe fully the efforts staff have made to be excellent. They also neglect to mention the pets- she who strokes a Pet holds the pet’s Person by the heart! I look forward to collaborating with this excellent company.

Very helpful consultation and efficient, quick service with great results. I love my “new” sofa!

My wife and I are thoroughly pleased with our purchase of recovers for our suite.
The whole process from start to finish the service provided was exemplary with quality material at a good price.

There was a problem with the material used for my sofa covers, Plumbs recovered my sofa replacing with the same material, unfortunately a similar problem occurred, Plumbs agreed on inspection that the material was faulty and agreed to recover with a new fabric of my choice. Throughout this process they were extremely helpful and made everything easy for me to deal with, they were extremely sorry for the problem and quickly helped me reorder. I can highly recommend this company, they are friendly efficient and professional.

I was v ery pleased with the attention Mr. Ali to my requests on fabric and design, He was kind and helpful felt safe and comfortable during his visit. He listened to what I required and it was a pleasant purchase.On top of that the cutains came early, Steve th gentleman who came to fit them was also professional as was Mr Ali , I would use your company again. The man that came round was very helpful. The product is good quality It arrived when they said it would he did an excellent job of fitting it and I am delighter with my sofas I am old and would have liked some sort of receipt for my records Everything else was excellent

Excellent service throughout. Good communication, including printed material. Contactable by phone. Very professional personnel including initial advisor , person who measured for cover and the fitter. One criticism, I had not expected the back cover to be made up of two pieces of material. Although well matched it detracts and is difficult to understand why as the seat cover is all one piece.

It took a while for my first appointment- a good sign i always think but bear in mind if you are in a hurry. After my first appointment things moved quite quickly.
Very helpful agent. Paul made me feel relaxed and confident in his experience. He gave lots of time to the appointment and kept fetching extra books from the car. From the samples I had ordered, it happened I had picked a very expensive curtain fabric as my favorite. He spent time going through less expensive books that would give me a similar look. I.e he was not after pushing for an expensive sale but helpful in giving me options.
There was no pressure to order but I was so pleased with my choices, settees and curtains, that I went ahead.
I am so glad I did. It was expensive but craftmanship and the finished result looks and feels it.
I was kept informed of progress.
Some people might be put off by the pricing but I truly have not seen quality that compares.

I had really high hopes for Plumbs as a family member had recommended them to me, but I've not had a good experience with the company mostly around communication and on reflection, value for money. There was a lot of initial contact from Plumbs when I first contacted them about getting two pieces of my grandmother's furniture reupholstered. I got sent fliers and emails and had several contacts from the local consultant. The local consultant was nice and I felt happy to go with Plumbs. I had explained that it had taken me a while to choose a company to reupholster these pieces of furniture as they are important to me. The price for the two pieces was £800. I had apparently got a good deal as I'd chosen Prestige fabric. I've since learnt that Plumbs heavily overcharges in the first place so any reduction is not really a good deal. I was unaware of how much reupholstery cost as I hadn't done enough research into going direct to an upholsterer. What I hadn't understood is that Plumbs creates a lot of additional cost for nothing - having a consultant and then ordering fabric to an external upholsterer employed by them, creates huge time delays. It took weeks after I'd paid the substantial and non refundable deposit before I heard anything about my furniture. Once I'd parted with the deposit, I was met with silence. I thought I might have been scammed, and when I tried to follow up it still took days before I was contacted. I made a complaint about the delay and delay in a response only to be met with a defensive staff member. There was no empathy. After this eventually the reupholster made contact directly to check which fabric was for which piece as both were exactly the same size of 4m x4m even though one was for a large arm chair and the other a small footstool. The reupholster mentioned he hadn't been clearly informed which fabric was for which even though I had had to confirm this at least twice with two different Plumbs staff. The quality of the reupholstery is good but the prestige fabric is not great - it's already fluffing. I now know if I'd gone direct to a reupholsterer I would have had a wider choice of better quality fabric and paid half and the work would have been done in half the time. In going to Plumbs I have wasted time and substantial money. I sent a further complaint to Plumbs via their complaint process and never heard back. I am now enquiring about how to make a formal complaint. This company have not treated me respectfully and I feel a total loss of confidence in them due to how they communicate.
