Delivered the shower tray but lost the shower screen – poor logistics and lengthy resolution
My experience with Plumb Galaxy was very disappointing.
I ordered a shower unit from them (via B&Q). The shower tray was delivered, but the shower screen was missing from the order.
What made the situation particularly frustrating was that I was left to do all the chasing myself. I had to repeatedly follow up for updates, contact the relevant parties (B&Q and DHL Ecommerce), and spend considerable time trying to find out what had happened to the missing item.
Despite these efforts, the shower screen could not be located, leaving me with an incomplete installation and delays to my bathroom installation. This has resulted in extra cost as I have had to extend the timeframe needed for my builder to complete the work.
I have now had to request a refund because the issue could not be resolved.
While delivery problems can occur, I would have expected more proactive communication and support from the supplier. Instead, the burden of resolving the issue seemed to fall entirely on me.
To be fair, the customer service representatives I dealt with were always polite, professional, and helpful. However, this was overshadowed by what appears to be a poor logistics and supply chain process, which ultimately failed to resolve the issue.
Based on this experience, I would not feel confident ordering from Plumb Galaxy again.
