Great driver, great guests, great small vineyards

Our guide Chris was very friendly and communicated clearly the plan for the day. Selection of wineries was unique and the one on one service with the winery staff was great.

Rob was an excellent tour guide. We really enjoyed his company, his stories and his banter with the vineyard managers. Definitely a highlight to our trip to Napa Valley.

The tour was great, our tour guide was insightful and fun, took us to 3 different wineries and all had different experiences. The lunch prepared was delightful. Safe travel to and from.

So much fun! We were going to do a private tour…so happy we didn’t! Everyone on the tour was amazing and the guide facilitated the amazing vibes

Best day EVER! And our tour guide/driver Army was icing on the cake. Our tour group was so fun, six of us got together after the tour and had dinner together in downtown Napa. You can’t go wrong with platypus tours!!! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

Our tour was with a knowledgeable, patient, and a humourous guide called Louis.The group was multi aged and great company. We enjoyed all three winery choices but found the Hagafen one the least informative and lacked presentation. Instead, Louis , our guide took us out to the vines and explained the pruning procedure.Despite this, we bought our dessert wines there.

Tony was great! We lived the wineries he took us to.

Linda was great and was able to keep us moving

Omar was friendly and very knowledgeable the wineries that you chose were excellent as well

Great communication from the driver / tour operator regarding what to expect for the day. We visited 3 wineries, all of which were expecting us and were prepared for us. These were wineries we wouldn’t have normally visited and I’m really happy we did. Very informative, really nice wines showcasing a wide variety of different grapes and blends. The included lunch was excellent and more than I could eat. Plenty of cold bottled water was provided to stay hydrated throughout all the tastings. This is a great way to tour wine country.

Great itinerary, tour guides (Gary & Wolf), and winery hosts.

Casey was awesome. Local guy knew his stuff and made sure everyone had a great time.

Our driver Steve picked some of the best small family wineries possible. During a guest speaker presentation from Marla @DomaineRiviere.com at a business event, I learned that wine tasting/enjoyment was as much about the story of the wine as the wine itself.

2 of the 3 wineries Steve picked had fantastic stories.

Luxton Cellars is owned by a witty, Australian Physicist. And the wine was incredible - did I mention I don't even like wine?

Ty Caton Vineards had a fantastic story teller (Paul) who kept our group engaged the entire time we were there, with his stories about the winery - and a few of his own! The wine there was incredible as well. We joined the wine club.... did I mention I don't even like wine?

This was all Steve's handi-work. He was a fantastic guide, super friendly, very knowledgeable. He took care of us the entire trip, including labeling and gathering purchased wines to the bus for us.

We could not stop talking about Platypus nor the tour. Cannot recommend it higher, and we will be touring with them again the next time we are there. And I think that I have begun to appreciate and certainly enjoy wine, like never before. Thanks Steve!

Our guide,Army, was great. Took us to great wineries and was flexible on the timing.

Linda was a great guide and we had a very enjoyable day.

The host Courtney who was the driver/tour leader was great always attentive.
The bus layout like a u meant we all faced each other which led to a convivial atmosphere as we talked and got to know each other.

The wine tastings at 3 small wineries were enjoyable, and I discovered why Cabernet Sauvignon is the king of the Napa Valley.
Im a bit hard of hearing so I would have welcomed the wine tutors speaking through a mouthpiece.

I felt also the boxed lunch should be improved or a more expensive option given.

I felt also one of the 3 tastings would benefit from being at a large winery thus giving the visitor a larger view of the whole Napa valley experience
