I had a platinum ring to dispose of and being the type to sell things on when of no use, I scoured the net looking for a suitable platinum buyer.

I shortlisted a few, Platinum Trader being one of them. Submitted my details online. Expected an acknowledgement email but nothing came. So I made contact with another trader and they took my details.

Fast forward a day later, received an envelope through the post from Platinum Trader. I completed a form and popped my ring into the Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope, then took it to the post office.

The next day, Jonathon got in touch and offered a good price for my ring which met my expectations. Money was then deposited into my account a few hour later.

Super fast, efficient service. The only downside was not getting an acknowledgement email directly after submitting my details.

Once Platinum Buyer received my item by return the next day, they confirmed their original offer and funds were received to my bank account promptly. I checked this company on Trustpilot and saw that it had several good reviews before deciding to proceed. I have to say that I am disappointed. I knew the price at which my jewellery should be valued as Platinum Trader display on their website what they offer per gram for each precious metal. I weighed everything prior to sending and was shocked by the low offer so I was then offered a higher amount which still fell far short so I explained that I knew what the offer actually should be and sent a message showing how I'd worked out the total price. Unsurprisingly, I was then offered that very amount. I also had to chase up the payment into my bank account, even though they advertise immediate settlement. I would be very careful if you decide to sell your jewellery to Platinum Trader.
