Paul is removing crumbling harling from my Victorian villa and replacing it with lime mortar as well as making some necessary stone repairs. From his first inspection visit to the now (almost) completed job, he has displayed the highest professionalism and skill.
For me, his greatest skills have not been just his excellent masonry work, but also his approachable and friendly manner and his ability to communicate with me as his client. Any work on a 130 year-old building is bound to throw out the odd surprise and Paul has kept me in the picture at all times, and discussed options and costs for dealing appropriately with things like unexpected crumbling chimneys and missing flashing. The site is always kept clear and tidy, and during the recent wind-storms, Paul took particular care to secure everything and called to check up on the situation during the worst of the winds.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Paul and Riley to anyone looking for skilled and reliable craftsmen.

Having provided us with competitive rates for the work Paul returned to the church this Summer to continue the repointing and repair of the church’s sandstone walls.
Paul is an extremely conscientious worker who takes great pride in the quality of work he produces. He understands traditional stone buildings and the need to use the correct materials such as lime mortar in repair and restoration work.
He turned up when he said he would, was always available to discuss what he was doing and why he was doing it.
When the work was finished the site was left in a clean and tidy state.
All in all a good job well done at competitive rates and we look forward to working with Paul again in the future.

When I first made contact, Paul responded later that same day, advising he could visit, at a specific time and date a few days later. Paul arrived on time, assessed the work, explained what would be involved and, by the following day, confirmed the verbal quotation and a start date.

Work was started and completed within the stated time frame and done to a very high standard.

Paul and team have done an absolutely outstanding job on the cement render removal, lime repointing and stone repairs to the frontage of my sandstone Victorian villa. He is friendly, reliable and hardworking, it’s been an absolute pleasure to have him working on the house.

We are really, really pleased with the work done by Paul (with Riley) on our house. He has repaired, repointed with lime and haunched the front stonework to an excellent standard.
Paul is a great craftsman who is enthusiastic about the quality of the work and we appreciated how he was friendly, keen to explain what he would do, and ask our opinion on options as the work progressed. We live in a busy street and the work was kept very tidy and cleared at the end of each day.
As well as a very high quality job, the team were very hard working too. Totally recommended and we hope to arrange more work with PJM on the side of the house in the near future!

I've had Paul working on my house this year to repoint the substansial gable end as well as repoint and re-haunch the chimney stack. He's been an absolute legend. Communications have been spot on, I knew exactly when he'd be starting and how long it would take and he held true to that. The quality of his work is just impeccable. He's a true craftsman, with a deep understanding of traditional buildings and how to care for them. The lime repointing is perfectly done and is going to last for another 100 years I'm sure. And it's a lovely thing to watch him passing on the knowledge to his young apprentice. He's been conscientious in keeping the site clean and tidy and minimising any disturbance for my neighbours.

I've already got him provisionally booked in for next year to do the more intricate repointing on the front of the house and I know the quality will be just as good. 10/10 would recommend.

We can't begin to express how pleased we are with the work Paul has done on our house over the past 6 weeks. A true craftsman who cares about his work, Paul is considerate, conscientious and hard working - tidying up at the end of each day and doing a thorough clean up at the end. Plus, he is genuinely a lovely guy. As is Riley, of course! Thanks to you both, we look forward to you doing the back next year!

PJM repointed the front wall of the house and did an excellent job. I could trust PJM to be reliable and complete the job as promised. PJM took the time to talk me through the progress of the job and I have even had compliments from people passing by regarding how good the end result was!

Stone work at the base of my chimney had come away. Excellent service and time scale to come fix the issue. He even took the time out to fix a couple of slates that were not sitting right.

Great friendly service throughout. Had stone work repointed at front and rear of Victorian Terrace House. Keen quote, professional and reliable, excellent communications, friendly and helpful. The work involved cement being picked out of stone work which understandably a dusty job, mess kept to a minimum and tidied.

The lads did great work on the gable wall of my property. They took the time to clear out all old cement and repointed the wall with lime. Very tidy workers, left no mess behind when they finished the job. Would definitely recommend them and use them again if necessary
