Haven’t received my delivery since 20th June
Really disappointed with the service I have paid for. I ordered a patch for my now 9 week old puppy to be delivered on 20th June, this delivery did not turn up and even though I was able to speak to the delivery company DPD they said it would then be delivered on 21st by 12pm. Again this delivery did not arrive. I was then told this would arrive on 23rd June but again did not turn up. I finally received the patch on 24th June but it was already dying off. Piddle patch kindly resent the patch for delivery 1st July but again this had not turned up and again I have no grass patch to toilet train my pup. It’s beyond a joke that this company has taken since 20th June to deliver an alive patch of grass. Puppy toilet training is already a stressful time and this company isn’t making it any easier
Update 3.07.25 - waited in for another day for the patch to be delivered only for it not to arrive and now Piddle Patch is ignoring my emails

We are really disappointed to read your review and particularly the update that you posted saying we had ignored your emails, when this is untrue.
We shipped your first order to you on your requested date, however, you delayed this order by 2 days. As DPD only have a certain capacity, they were not able to deliver your order to you on your requested redelivery date.
DPD then attempted to deliver your parcel and on this occasion tried to leave it with a neighbour, but they would not accept your parcel. Your parcel was then delivered to you the following day.
When your Piddle Patch did arrive, you were not happy with the quality. We explained that it had originally been delayed by yourself and advised that if you needed to delay your order in future, to reach out to us ahead of shipping to delay your Piddle Patch. Despite this, we then sent a replacement as a gesture of goodwill.
DPD were having trouble with delivering your replacement and we asked you to provide further instructions regarding your location and what to do if you were not home. Unfortunately, no further instructions were inputted at this time.
We then refunded your order. Following the refund, we can see that further instructions were inputted by you and this delivery was successful, meaning that you had two Piddle Patches delivered to you and no money was taken for either.
We were in contact with you throughout the process and can see that two emails were sent to you on the 2nd of July and three emails on the 3rd of July (the day you said that we were ignoring you). One of which was to notify you of the refund.
We work hard to ensure that any issues with deliveries are resolved in a timely manner, however, we also ask that customers help us with this process by providing the courier with information about their delivery preferences if the courier is having issues trying to deliver to them.
We are sorry that Piddle Patch was not the product for you on this occasion, and we wish you all the best with your toilet training journey.

I really wanted to love this
I really wanted to love this, I did a ton of research and when I picked up my puppy I signed up to a subscription. Unfortunately after 3-4 days the smell of ammonia became so overwhelming I had to throw it out. My puppy is small <2kg and I was surprised the grass patch didn’t even last a week. I also found a lot of bugs, so you might want to check the area around and underneath your grass patches if they are placed inside your home. Sadly this product was not for me, and even more disappointingly, the customer service experience was poor with no acknowledgement of the issues. The replies were patronising and robotic.

As per the complaint policy outlined on our website, we do require photos of your Piddle Patch along with a description of the issue. This is so we can thoroughly investigate and assess the quality of your Piddle Patch and your complaint.
Unfortunately, as you informed us that you had thrown away the product before contacting us and hadn't taken any photos of your Piddle Patch, it was extremely difficult for us to investigate this further, as the product needs to be retained for a full investigation.
As a gesture of goodwill, we offered you a discount on your next Piddle Patch and an offer to return the tray for a refund. The refund was then actioned following the return of your tray.
We are sorry that Piddle Patch was not the product for you. We wish you all the best for the future.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service. Anything that I needed help with e.g. change of delivery date, change of address, additional patch they helped me with instantly.
And high quality grass patches. Both me and my dog loved it! Easy to use and a great option for pet owners living in an apartment.

I’ve been using Piddle Patch for my dog for 3 years, and it’s been an absolute lifesaver for city pet owners!

Wouldn't recommend this.
Customer service was great cant fault them. But this grass stuff for the price you could go b&q and buy some real grass and a tray for 15 pound , I was recommended to go here and regretted it badly . It didnt help my puppy I had more luck with puppy pads and the tray then this . It's way over priced and the box it come in was damaged and soggy. I highly recommend trying puppy pads and puppy training tray with the spray you can buy that makes them wanna use that or go some where and buy roll of real grass and make your own for way less .

A Piddle Patch offers a number of benefits over the grass you’ll find at your local garden centre.
Grass grown in soil, as you’ll find at the garden centre, has a short lifespan when it’s not planted into the ground and will begin to wilt and die within about 48 hours. By growing our grass in a liquid retentive mat, Piddle Patch grass has a medium from which it can continue to grow strong and healthy.
The lack of dirt in our grass also means that you don’t need to worry about soil and mud making a mess in your home and our grass is grown with dogs and their humans in mind. We do not use any harmful chemicals or pesticides on it.
As a natural product Piddle Patch is good for your dog and good for the environment. Dog training pads are made from non-recyclable materials that take up to 500 years to decompose in landfill so Piddle Patch was designed as the more environmentally friendly option.

these grass patches really saved my life during the first few months with my puppy. I did not use a single pad as I taught my dog to go to the grass on the balcony since his arrival. You can schedule the delivery at your preferred frequency and the grass is great quality

Great product, excellent customer service
Great product, with management that is on the ball and able to change orders and subscriptions quickly and easily to meet customer needs. You can't always know what your dog(s) or cats need and when they need it, but Piddle Patch is able to supply the patches or cancel an over-order with just a quick email.

Really great idea and service
Really great idea and service! Would 100% recommend. We had our puppy in our apartment in London. Having the patch made it so much easier to train him. He got used to going on grass and now waits to go outside. Can get it delivered as many times a week as you need. Always reliable. Super easy. The team are great and super helpful!

Great grass, great company!
The patches are great quality, and quickly encouraged our brand new puppy to go in the right place. The subscription and delivery was reliable and once we had moved on to training her to go outside, they even refunded me when I didn’t cancel the subscription in time for the next patch which we didn’t need. Great company!

Piddle patch has been a lifesaver
Piddle patch has been great it’s such a better alternative to the puppy pads (which we’ve never had to use because we immediately trained Kobe to the patch. Throughout from initial purchase to now I have had a great experience with piddle patch customer service- from advice to us repeatedly amending the frequency of our order with no fuss. Great experience and good patch throughout. The only thing I’d love is an option to keep it smelling fresher throughout the week like a dog friendly scented water spray to spray on the patch.

Piddle Patch really is top tier
The perfect solution for my dachshund living on the third floor in London. Zero mess, the grass is brilliant quality and lasts, no smell and customer service is prompt and reliable. Definitely recommend to any and all London dog owners who want an elegant solution to flat living.

Game changer!
This product has really been a game changer. After moving from my family home to a 3rd floor apartment with a 2 year old child and 3 year old Frenchie I was wondering how we would manage! Baby goes down at 8 so that means I can’t take the dog down at any point after that. It got to the point where I was considering whether it would be fair to keep my dog as she wouldn’t use a puppy pad/anything else and would hold her pee/poop for over 12 hours. 3 days into moving I found Piddle Patch and haven’t looked back. Piddle patch changed all of that and I am now guilt free ☺️ it CAN be quite expensive if you subscribe, but it depends how frequently you NEED to replace the mat. My dog will happily use one for about 2 months before reluctantly using it so tend to purchase every 8 weeks - very cheap and cheerful (it’s worth mentioning she only really uses it after 8pm before bed or if she randomly asks to go and it’s not time for a walk, so usage to be taken into consideration) 10/10 product

Terrible product
Terrible product, it's essentially some grass turf in a metal tray. Puppies continue to just chew it up and tear it apart making a terrible mess. They've shown zero interest in using it to do their business

If you have any issues with either the product or toilet training your dog to use their Piddle Patch then we would always recommend reaching out to us. We have lots of advice and toilet training tips that we would be delighted to share with you.
The grass itself is grown without toxic chemicals and pesticides so it is not harmful if your pup eats the grass. The liquid retentive mat is a textile though, and should not be consumed by your dog.
Most importantly though is that any attempts by a puppy to eat the grass should be discouraged because it can delay the house-training process.
Most of the time this behaviour stops naturally when your pup understands the purpose of the grass and that it is for use as a toilet and not as a plaything.
As a young pup, your dog is trying to make sense of the world around them. You've presented them with a Piddle Patch and they can tell that they like it, but they need a little help trying to figure out what it's for and how to use it. As a puppy, eating the grass is an instinctive way to explore and get a feel for what the item is that they’re interacting with.
Your dog will instinctively stop eating the grass as they better understand what the purpose of the grass is and how to interact with it.
Setting boundaries on how they interact with the grass while learning, and a consistent routine, will be integral to the process. Your goal is to help them make the connection that when there is a feeling of fullness in their bowels, it's time to go potty, and when it's time to go potty, they should go on the grass.
We have an article on our website that will provide training tips for how to house-train a puppy who likes to eat the grass.
If they appear to be too excited by the grass to listen to your directions, then starting their training after a walk/playtime can help as they will have burned off some of that energy and be better able to focus. Even as adults, it can be tough to focus when we are excited and full of energy, and your puppy will be the same. Having your pup on a lead will also help you to guide their interactions.

Puppy toilet training
Got one of these for our balcony instead of using puppy pads. Looks much better and our puppy is using it a lot more than he did the pads. Pricey but I recommend it for toilet training.

Great company, product and customer experience
The product is great and such an excellent idea - so pleased I stumbled across it when my new puppy arrived earlier this year. Ordering is very easy, and amending subscription deliveries is done without issue. Whenever I have contacted customer service the response has been quick and always very positive and helpful - you can tell you are dealing with "real people" and not just a standard response card of answers. The company have gone over and above on more than one occasion for me, managing to arrange an urgent delivery in super-quick time and also replacing another patch which was delivered in poor condition without hesitation or delay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a sustainable option for apartment dogs/cats, whilst supporting a small British company.

Perfect for flats!
We used our Piddle Patch for our puppy's first 8 months and it was a godsend! We live on the 3rd floor of a block of flats and it was so handy for him to be able to use the Piddle Patch on our balcony rather than having to take him downstairs, especially in the early days when he needed the toilet more frequently.
The Piddle Patch served us very well and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Best tool for potty train!
We got our Cocker Spaniel 4 months ago and Piddle patch has been a life saver since! If you got a puppy and leave in a flat, piddle patch is the best tool to toilet train and help with the pee break in the middle of the night!
Delivery always on scheduled and they notify you in advance. Totally Recommend 👌🏼!
