Can’t recommend them enough! Dylan was brilliant, he was really patient with me as I was really nervous.

Best experience doing a CBT I have ever had , very helpful with anything I needed .I felt very comfortable with showing them what I could and couldn't do. Very experienced instructors, I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to ride a motorcycle

I booked a CBT test for £190, but shortly after realised I had selected the wrong date. I emailed the company immediately to see if the date could be amended or if I could cancel. I was told the only alternative date available was weeks away, which didn’t work for me.
When I asked to cancel so I could book elsewhere, I was told there would be a £38 admin fee. I understand admin costs, but considering I had just booked and contacted them right away, the fee felt excessive.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I think the company should really review their cancellation policy and admin charges — especially for honest mistakes flagged up immediately after booking.

Kristian the instructor was brilliant and took time to explain and teach you everything you needed to pass. Well organised training, safe space and lots of fun. Highly recommended and will be going back for further training

Expert riders, explained and demonstrated for everyone with different requirements.

First opted for the taster session seeing that I haven't been on a bike in 20 years.

Kris (instructor) was really thorough and encouraging with the training, which built confidence throughout the day.

During the afternoon Kris was stern but fair and wanted the best for the riders. I'm happy that I chose this location amd look forward to the next steps of Mod 1 & Mod 2.

found the staff very friendly and accommodating, they take there time to point out what needs improving if anything passed my mod1 and mod2 with them 1st time .

Dylan the instructor was great made for a fun experience will be returning to get my full license

Phoenix Motorcycle Training was an incredible experience. At 44, I had no prior knowledge of motorbikes, but Julian, my trainer, was absolutely fantastic. Despite my medical condition, Julian was patient and supportive, allowing plenty of breaks and making sure I felt comfortable throughout.

The CBT was excellent, and I even booked an additional training session on a larger bike before moving on to MOD1. The MOD2 training day was a full six hours and incredibly well-structured, with a very supportive atmosphere on test day.

Communication throughout was spot on — emails were clear, timely, and helpful, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

I couldn’t recommend Phoenix — and Julian in particular — highly enough.

Dylan was a great instructor his communication was great. He was helpful, well mannered and glad i had the opportunity to meet him and do my test. I would definitely recommend him for future motorcyclist Training. Thank you for making my day enjoyful and test at ease.

The main requirement with learning to ride is excellent trainers.
All the trainers I encountered were professional, highly skilled and experienced.
Particular mention to Julian and Jon whose training allowed me to pass Mod 2.

Very good. I am a nervous person in general and with not being on a bike before added to it but Julian and John was very professional and understanding (human and professional)made a big difference top marks

I did my CBT, Mod1 and Mod2 with Bike Train Wales (Cwmbran) now part of Phoenix Motorcycle Training.

All of the instructors and I trained with nearly all of them were considerate, patient and helpful. I was able to use the same bike each time which was a great help.

Considering I had never even ridden a bike before my CBT they helped me progress to first time passes across the board.

For MOD1 it was good to be able to actually practice in the test centre - great for your nerves.

For MOD2 we rode loads of routes that are driven on the test routes and helped me to understand what the examiners are looking for.

I did my CBT in Oct 23, MOD1 in Oct 24 and MOD2 in June 25. Following their advice when I needed more training before tests and practicing on a 125 at home were key to passing.

The whole team at Cwmbran were a great support, it was lovely to get personal well done messages afterwards from them too!

I am a 50+ female with no bike experience at all and they helped me progress to my full licence. I am now out riding my 650.

So I would recommend the team in Cwmbran in a heart beat. Thank you guys 👍🏻😊

Done the CBT course with Kris. I had absolutely no riding experience what so ever. He was patient, very knowledgeable and easy to learn from.
Would highly recommend.

I did my CBT with Kris and Dylan at Cwmbran. These guys were great, very patient and knowledgeable. It was an enjoyable course and and 2 hour road ride. Back soon to do my full license (hopefully) 😁
