Had a really good experience and an excellent instructor Rob. He was joyful throughout the day and made us chuckle and was a very good teacher which helped us improve a lot. Very good day altogether and thank you again Rob.

I would highly recommend this training school, Excellent tuition and really put me at ease, very patient instructors , got me through my CBT, Mod 1 and Mod 2.

Great day spent with trainer Paul Collins on the Advanced Rider course (Sponsored by Essex Fire Bikes). Really useful tips on throttle control and being in the right gear appropriate for the manoeuvre. Helped reinforce my confidence that in the main I am a good rider but like everything we can always do better. Thanks Paul really appreciate your help!

I honestly can't explain how great these guys are! I have just passed my Mod1 and Mod2 first time with them. On day one I had no confidence in my riding abilities, when I arrived I was made to feel at ease straight away and they built my confidence immediately resulting in that first time pass. They have a nice stock of bikes all well maintained and in really good condition and have a lowered bike to accommodate those that need it. They explain things in very clear way so you fully understand what you need to do.
The pricing is more than fair and they aren't out to just get your money, they actually want you to do well.

I have recently completed my compulsory basic training (CBT) and Mod 1 and 2 training and tests with Phoenix Motorcycle Training Colchester.

Across these five days, I had the privilege of being instructed and supervised by Scott, Rob, and Paul. All are experienced riders and fantastic instructors with personable approaches to their work. They all created a relaxed, light-hearted learning environment that helped alleviate the pressure I (and I am sure many others) put myself under, helping me to pass first time on all counts.

I didn’t get to meet Peter but he did organise my training and tests over the phone and email. Again, very polite and professional throughout.

I would certainly recommend Phoenix Motorcycle Training Colchester, and a huge thank you to the team.

I had a brilliant day doing my CBT. From the moment I walked onto the training site I was made to feel welcome by everyone and greeted with the offer of a mug of tea. I knew I was in for a good day. My instructor Rob was patient, encouraging and explained everything as we went along. I was kitted out with a robust riding jacket and gloves (I used my own crash helmet) and given a Yamaha YBR125 to ride. As the morning went on I found myself weaving through the cones and changing through the gears on the training pad as my confidence grew. After lunch and questions about the Highway Code then we got onto the roads and with Rob’s guidance via the radio earpiece I was able to negotiate the traffic around the town and felt comfortable on the bike. We returned back to base a couple of hours later, debriefed and to my absolute delight Rob signed me off with a pass! The whole day was relaxed, professional and I will definitely be going back to Phoenix at Colchester to do my MOD 1 & 2.

Had a such an amazing time doing my CBT with the two instructors(Rob&Scott), went through every element in such depth, making sure your confident at every aspect, made the whole experience enjoyable as well as having such a laugh along the way, definitely made the experience a lot funnier and enjoyable, top class instructor's will definitely be back again! Thanks for everything guys!! Can't recommend going here enough had such a good time!!

Just come off an advanced training day with Paul Collins.
Absolutely fantastic and I learned a lot. Now to put that coaching into practice and sort my road positioning out once and for all.

Cbt Booked as a Father’s Day present as a start to getting my full licence. Colchester site with Rob the instructor. What can I say what a great teacher, never negative and constructive feedback when mistakes were made. Was worried about the next step but he gave me huge confidence with how I rode and said I’d be fine with the mod1. Enjoyed the day and looking forward to booking the next step with them

Phoenix Motorcycle Training is the number one place to go if you are looking to pass your motorcycle tests! I have just passed MOD 2 today! After a horrible experience with a previous riding school for my CBT, I am so glad I found these guys for my full licence. They are all so friendly, knowledgeable, supportive and helpful. I have had the best experience with them. A big thank you to Peter for sorting out my tests for me and a massive thank you to my instructor Rob. You are awesome and I couldn't have done it without you!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Looking forward to riding my new big bike soon haha!! :-) x

I am truly lost for words on how professional and dedicated Phoenix Motorcycle Training are, especially Scott. After receiving my Mod 1 & 2 as a wedding gift, I was soon put through my paces having not been on a bike of any sort for over 1 and a half. With the company’s efforts and commitments I was able to pass in my first week. Their hard work is a testament to their professionalism and I advise any person who wishes to take up their licence, to do so with Phoenix Motorcycle Training. I’d like to thank Scott personally and I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Honestly cannot express this enough this was the best experience I've had in my life. The way the instructor (Scot Scot :) ) kept me calm, eased my nerves and was just the most friendly person I've ever met and today I can happily say thanks to phoenix motorcycle training that I've passed my CBT. 100% would recommend for anyone thinking of doing their CBT or mod1 and 2 and will definitely go back for my mod1 and 2 when I'm ready.

Being someone who struggles with confidence in general takes patience and both Scott and Paul were incredible at taking this on board, making me feel at ease and never losing faith in me. They are all amazing trainers here and just all round friendly, fun yet professional people that take joy from supporting your journey from beginning to end.

Paul was absolutely fantastic at rebuilding my confidence when I got shaken by minor mistakes, especially after my first failed attempt at MOD1, yet here I am today able to say I have my full licence and looking at test riding my first 660 machine 😁 The guys at Phoenix will always say it comes down to my own ability, but I really could not have done this without their ongoing support and belief in me.

I will be returning next year to do my advance training because I know I’ll be in the best, most capable hands with people that make such an effort to understand and nurture your individual bike learning experience 😁 - they’re probably sick of me now though!!

Just finished and passed! My CBT today and I can honestly say it was an amazing experience my instructor was Scott and he is probably the best tutor/Coach I’ve ever had , he was super helpful with every little thing and pretty funny as well, also helped keep me calm on the road as it was my first time ever being on the road.

The guys at Phoenix have got me from a total beginner rider to obtaining my full motorcycle licence. Paul has been superb at giving me the knowledge/skills required to pass Mod 1 & 2 and I am super grateful for his support and that I picked Phoenix for the job. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Best CBT experience ever. From start to finish Scott really made me comfortable. I can't complain with my day as Scott was an amazing teacher and was quick to catch any bad habits and keep it at the front of the mind. His calmness was contagious so the public road ride was straight forward. All in all, Scott's brilliant and the ethos of phoenix themselves is brilliant.
