A horrible experience with continual mistruths
I am beyond frustrated and deeply disappointed with my recent experience with PEX.
I am a UK citizen, working in the US on an H1-B visa, I provided all the required documentation for verification, including my passport, and an explanation of my lack of SSN (for which the verification system has a option) based on clear assurances from a PEX chat support representative that my application could proceed with this information.
I asked this NUMEROUS times on chat before and during the application process.
However, after waiting for several days, for an application which I again, at the time said was urgent, I was abruptly told that PEX could not onboard me. No explanation, no apology for the misleading nature of the response. Just a casual dismissal.
The lack of professionalism and respect for my time and personal information is astounding.
Furthermore, the customer service agent's indication that he would expedite my case by contacting the verification team suggested proactive steps beyond merely sending an email, yet nothing concrete materialized.
My business then incurring daily penalties, for a service I was evidently NEVER going to receive.
I am left in the dark as to why. They say "no SSN", but the application process literally has a check box for this and then a "provide passport information" option.
To add insult to injury, despite their failure to deliver on their promises, I have had to request the contact details for their compliance team multiple times without any success. This level of unresponsiveness and lack of accountability is unacceptable.
I have now demanded the immediate deletion of all my personal data, including my passport copy, under GDPR regulations. It is outrageous that I have to resort to such measures to protect my sensitive information due to PEX's gross mishandling of my application.
I urge potential customers to think twice before trusting PEX with their personal data or business needs.
This experience has been a clear demonstration of their lack of professionalism, lack of communication, and utter disregard for customer satisfaction.
Avoid PEX at all costs if you value your time, business operations, and the security of your personal information.
