Avoid Petmax
Order placed April 3, dropped off/shipped April 9, arrival April 17.
Petmax did not meet advertised their policy, advertised same/next-day shipping, 4-5 day delivery time and the return process was not accessible or accepted.
Due to Petmax + courier delays and the product becoming unusable for its intended purpose after discovering health issues with my cat, I contacted Petmax before the delivery was completed.
Petmax instructed me to refuse delivery to receive a full refund, but the courier entered my building unauthorized, left the package in a common area without my consent, and removed my ability to refuse it.
When I tried to resolve the issue with Petmax, I was required to follow a return process I cannot complete due to my disability, yet I had to disclose it to request basic assistance and proper application of their policy.
Despite this, I was offered store credit minus $17 shipping fees or a physically impossible return method. Petmax stated they work with several couriers and those couriers had limitations, which is why I was refused accessible return.
Upon research, the information Petmax provided appeared inconsistent with published policies from their courier network and the available courier pickup options, that offer paperless return pickup services.
Other customers are allowed returns and full refunds but I am excluded from it because I have a disability that makes certain acts physically not possible for me.
