I ordered a starter kit from this…

I ordered a starter kit from this company which included a tank, salt, food, hydrometer, pipettes, cleaning sponges etc. the tank didn't come with instructions on how to set up- Half of the items are missing, the salt arrived in a clear bag, so you have no idea what it is, and with 200 g missing (supposed be 2kg but 1800g, and the second time 1840) . The aquarium has a pipe missing. so you canty actually close it, Bacteria arrived in a labelless bottle with a pen mark that was illegible to read.
Very, very unprofessional, and cost 450 pounds with 50 pounds delivery. - they are NOT in the UK, and the whole service is a complete and utter rip off. I should have read reviews..

I have updated this, as in the end despite the missing bits/ lack of labelling the customer support did get in touch and resolve queries.

Ok-ish

Despite the domain name, this is not a UK company. My tank arrived much later than it should have and was missing a part. This then arrived much later than expected. The 'starter' kit doesn't contain everything needed - you need to purchase a lot more to keep jellies successfully. My jellies arrived and they were ok for a while, but they were much much smaller than expected. So, overall, not the best experience, and I wish I'd done more research into UK providers.

disastrous

disastrous. please do not bother ordering from this company. so rude and honestly so many things have gone wrong with this process that i can’t even be bothered to list them out. terrible communication, items down as in stock are not, delivery times are shocking. just don’t.

Do not recommend

Took money without even having items in stock, took over 2 weeks to process my order, promised me a delivery date and it still hasn’t arrived... No updates or explanations.

A childhood dream has been fulfilled. I love my Jellies, well worth the wait! Brilliant service by Andy and his team. Their website is so helpful, full of advice for a newbie like me. Have everything you need and delivery is quick. I would recommend Pet Jelly Fish for anyone wanting Jellyfish. I can see this turning into a hobby!👍 Thank you👍

Very poor service

Very poor service:

I've ordered a pack of jellyfish but realize I couldn't managed them so I canceled my order. It was in November.

Today, 8 months later, my concierge received a Jellyfis out of nowhere. I don't even have a water tank !!!!!! I sent a message to the customer service saying all is normal. They didn't even took the time to understand my query and feels there s nothing wrong.

No further answer, no phone number, nobody to talk with, nothing.

By the time I writing this, I still have a poor little jellyfish in a plastic bag waiting at my concierge.. for what? nothing, because I don't have anything to take care of it, BECAUSE I CANCELED MY ORDER.

If the little thing dies, I'll come to their offices.

Our advice for your dying jellyfish was to check your water and ensure it was at the correct water parameters.

Jellies are sensitive to their water conditions and so a strict maintenance program must be followed! (This is sent to you when the jellies arrive and via email)

You told us that your jellies had started shrinking which is a clear indicator that they hadn't been being fed properly.

I'm sorry we couldn't help your jellies but if our advice isn't followed then we can't help you further!

Great jelly’s, rubbish company

Bought the starter kit @ £350 was told in stock, finally picked tank up over a week later at the courier depot as they had “forgot” to deliver it! I must admit Andy @ pet jellyfish was very helpful with that, got tank home and everything was good setting up apart from the pump? It’s very fiddly getting it in the outer ring because the pipe just falls off the outlet All the time, or it does with mine as the outlet is short and smooth, However got it going and ten days later received jellyfish alive ( god knows how as courier arrived throwing it about with clear damage marks alll over the box!) got them in the tank and all good then realised the pump wasn’t working and pipe had come off again! I emailed Andy several times and said the pump isn’t right design fault I thought, looked at there website and you can buy spare pumps that have a barbed outlet, informed Andy of this and his reply was “ put a rubber band on the outlet” why would you spend £350 and rely On a rubber band!!! So I said I would buy a replacement pump which I have for £20 inc postage, still not received one and to be honest I would have thought they would have offered a free replacement pump or at least free postage! Anyway jellyfish are 5 star, amazing pets, could watch them all day, petjellyfsh as a company 0 star

Thanks for your review - I'm sorry that you feel we deserve 1 star, we feel that's somewhat harsh! You have said yourself that the product is great, jellies are great, but just wanted a replacement pump.

The tank is covered by a 12 month warranty, so if you wanted a replacement pump, or tubing we could have arranged that for you.

Our initial suggestion of a rubber band is a simple fix for if the tubing is not holding tight to the pump, it's suggested as a temporary fix.

Excellent all round

I purchased the Orbit 20 tank from PetJellyfishUk in December. The tank arrived quickly, was well packaged and was in greattach condition. Similarly, the jellyfish arrived promptly on the date requested, with a host of information regarding their care.

The owner of the site deserves particular praise as the customer service is nothing short of outstanding. Andy has dealt with many, many emails from myself, and has often replied at all hours. In one particular situation he was remaining in touch late into the night. As a new owner with so many questions and concerns this support system is incredibly important. Andy answered a whole variety of questions before I even purchased the tank, which have me confidence in the company as a whole. This support system is continuing now when new questions arise.

I would thoroughly recommend this company. Thanks for the great service!

Bad Customer service

One jellyfish arrived dead and the other had rip in it which looks like its starting to repair. Provided photo's of the dead jelly fish in packaging bag but Andy didn't want to know, can only put the damaged and dead jellyfish down to poor packaging.. Have a look at Ocean Glass for jellyfish as they seem to be a good supplier.

Hi Simon, sorry to hear you are disappointed with our service.
Your jellies arrived on the 19th, but you chose not to tell us about their damage until the 23rd.
In our delivery email we state that any damage to jellies needs to be shown to us on day of delivery - this information is very clear - it is also stated clearly in a leaflet within the delivery box with the jellies.
If you had followed this basic procedure then we would have replaced your jellies free of charge.
However 4 days down the line is too late, we have no control and no idea about what may have happened to your jellies during this time.
For what it is worth, we use the same supply as Glass Ocean so service and terms of sale are identical.

Great service

I've just taken delivery of my new Jellyfish, they were packed superbly, delivered early and are now happily moving around the tank.

The service was excellent and extremely helpful, I would highly recommend this company.

first time jellyfish owners

I brought the whole tank set up and jellyfish from Pet Jellyfish for my husband as a christmas present and i couldn't recommend them enough. So helpful and even delivered the jellyfish two days before xmas so we didn't have to hide them for long. We have now had them 3 weeks and have had no problems at all. The company have also emailed to see how we are getting on which doubt you would have any follow up from another company. Very easy to set up and maintain with very little effort from us.
Overall we couldn't fault the team or equipment or jellyfish.
