First time we had to make a claim and was fearing the worst but what a pleasant suprise the process from our vets to receiving our reimbursement from Sainsburys was superb . Within hours of leaving vets we received a e mail confirmation that claim received, within 48 hours received message payment being process and money in our account in 3 to 5 days. Could not have asked for a more efficient service.

A promise of Nectar points on taking out insurance failed miserably. When I queried I was told it could take up to 60 for them to be put into my account. After 74 days I again queried lack of receipt and was told I was too late, I was outside of the 60 day time limit? And I also had no promotional code, I had no idea I needed one or there was a time limit. My insurance claim made me feel as if I was trying to con the company out of £70. Thought as a Sainsbury's customer of nearly 50 years I was making the right decision to purchase their scheme hmmm.

I switched to Sainsbury’s as they gave me a competitive price for my dog insurance practically what I was paying , except it had gone up with my insurer

I’d picked up the leaflet in store and getting the quote was an easy process plus it had the benefit of nectar points

Easy to get a quote and complete the purchase. I used a Nectar points offer, so waiting for the points to hit my account. I hope they are as good as their reviews, if and when I need to make a claim

My vet put in the claim for me, I received confirmation that my claim was being processed. It was updated on the portal my claim had paid out. I also received email confirmation. Very quick turnaround and I was kept informed on the progress

I have made several claims since my puppy was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Sainsbury’s have dealt with each claim immediately without any problems at all.

Claim Processing time was long.
I was charged by my vet for providing information that I could easily have provided myself but the portal does not allow it.
On a separate occasion I tried calling the emergency line for advice but there was no answer.
So far, unimpressed.

We were unfortunate to be told that our puppy had severely displaced lower canines when we took him for his injections - both needed exciting under general anaesthetic! Within 5 days of the operation our claim had been accepted and the money went straight into our bank. I genuinely could not fault the process, I am so glad we took the insurance out!

Great pet insurance, paid out really fast and the full amount .Will definitely be continuing this policy.
