I specifically chose PetBacker because I wanted a structured and reliable process, and I appreciate how the platform ensures a safe and transparent experience for both pet sitters and pet owners.

During the booking, I encountered some challenges with the pet owner’s cooperation in completing the process. However, the PetBacker team was very helpful in guiding me through the necessary steps and ensuring that everything was properly handled. Their prompt assistance in marking the task as completed was greatly appreciated.

I’ve really enjoyed using PetBacker so far! As a new user, getting hired can be challenging, but persistence definitely pays off. The platform provides great opportunities for pet sitters, and I appreciate the support team’s responsiveness—special thanks to Khushali for her outstanding assistance!

That said, there are some areas for improvement. The app can be a bit buggy at times, and the UI could be more intuitive for a smoother experience. Enhancing these aspects would make it even better for both sitters and pet parents.

Overall, I look forward to continuing with PetBacker and hope to see further improvements. Thanks for providing this platform!

This app become my main work. I can't say anything bad about this app, they are very clear about what fee they take and how much do you gonna receive and how long could take. Maybe the only think is the chat between Petsitter and let owners but it's ok for now

I am not appearing in the search results although I spent days setting up the whole profile and taking all of their tests and everything is verified. I was told that they will fix it as soon as possible but after a day I understood that they don't even think there's a problem so they did nothing but promptly say they're working on it urgently.

I can't be more disappointed with a company than petbacker.

We have given our cat for care on their platform and we got it back nearly dead; the cat still suffers from heart problems.

The platform litterally does NOT care about ANYTHING of this and that shows of 2 months of 0,0 replies except to 'wait'.

It took me a while to write this review, as I was too emotional to put my feelings into words. What I feel isn’t anger—at least not entirely—but deep sadness and regret for being too trusting and naïve.
Due to personal circumstances, I had to find a temporary home for our beloved cat. I didn’t want to send her to a shelter, so I searched for a family where she would be surrounded by love, care, and attention. While this option was more expensive, it gave me peace of mind knowing she would be in good hands.
In the beginning I had the feeling all went well and the family took care of her as they should.
Unfortunately, what followed was nothing short of heartbreaking. Months passed before I could bring my cat back home, and I counted the days until we were reunited. But when I finally saw her again, I was in complete shock. She was unrecognizable—alarmingly thin, with matted fur, tangles, and bald patches on her tail. She had lost more than half her body weight.
Throughout those months, I had repeatedly asked for photos to check on her well-being. The caretaker only sent one photo a month, along with excuses that her weight loss was due to not giving her treats. I was concerned but never imagined the true extent of her suffering.
When I took her to the vet, the severity of her condition became horrifyingly clear. My cat had accumulated so much fluid in her body that her organs couldn’t even be seen on the X-ray. She was struggling to breathe. The vet had to extract 2.4 liters of fluid from her chest and abdomen using long needles. For the first time in months, she could breathe again—but the procedure revealed just how frail and close to death she was. We ended up paying over 4,000 AED for her treatment.
Now, she’s finally home, and we’re doing everything in our power—with the right medication, care, and endless love—to help her recover. I hope and pray she will be with us for a long time yet.
I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. It’s truly heartbreaking, and I hope no other pet has to endure what my cat went through. Please, if you are ever in a similar situation, be extra cautious and vigilant about the person or family you entrust with your beloved pet.
