This is all so very recent for me I sadly had the extremely painful decision to have my belovered tragen put to sleep, he was my world my life my everything but I knew in my heart the time had come to make the decision for him, i contacted Kim from paws at peace and from that first call to her I felt so confident that she was the right person to help my boy cross over to a world free from pain, quite honestly I was a mess, broken hearted at the loss of my beloved boy, Kim was everything and more she was able to give tragen the love and support to enable him to pass over free from pain with dignity in the comfort of his home surrounded by people who loved him dearly, without any doubt I would recommend Kim at paws at peace a truly lovely person who gives so much care, compassion and genuine kindness, she is truly worth her weight in gold

It’s one of the most incredibly difficult times in life to lose a beloved pet, it’s more than a pet, it’s a family member that has given you unconditional love.

We shy away from talking about death as a society as a whole but it’s a reality we have to face if we are living.

It was incredibly important that Betty was given, as part of her incredible service, friendship and life to me, a compassionate and loving and dignified death. She was a giant breed, a Saint Bernard, and I did not want her to be distressed having to take her to the vets; to be honest a place no pet likes to visit and something which is not familiar and comforting to them.

Dying at home and surrounded by love and compassion and everything she knew and was so important. I couldn’t find a vet to do that so I had to trust someone I had not met before and that was Kim. I absolutely did the right thing to entrust Kim with us in our journey to help with Betty’s end of life stage. Kim holds dear to her exactly the same values as any ethical, moral and decent animal lover - that they have love, compassion, utter peace, tranquility and dignity in dying surrounded by their family. She did this extremely sensitively and with so much love and compassion. Kim is someone who has absolutely recognised a need that compassion and love in death is just as important as in life. This is truly remarkable to be, what I can only describe as, a perfect animal guardian, during the most difficult time of an animals life and I don’t have to words to describe how incredible she is to do this role. I would not choose anyone else and I would recommend her to all that are having to face these terrible decisions.

This is all anyone can ever ask for at a time of death.

Kim carefully talked through the process and, only when ready, betty was given a sedative to make her sleepy and relaxed. She didn’t feel it, it didn’t distress her at all and she was asleep like every single day of her life when she was tired. The same position she adopted having a snooze and the same relaxed features. She wasn’t in pain. She was at peace. Again, when ready, the final injection is administered without pain or any knowledge by Betty. There was never any rush or pressure. It was totally at a pace which was right for betty.

To die in such a loving and compassionate and dignified way with the most compassionate and loving lady helping you through the most horrendous time was something that words could never describe in a review.

I was entrusting the love of my life with a person who came in as a stranger but who left as someone who I see as Betty’s friend. She eased Betty so lovingly onto her next journey . I am so pleased that Kim came it was the right decision and I would highly recommend her services.

We knew it was time to say goodbye to our little girl Pandora and we wanted the best for her. She was an anxious little girl, or as my brother described her a weird and wonderful little thing. We didn't want the stress of taking her to the vets, we wanted her to be comfortable at home, in her own bed, surrounded by those who loved her, and we did love her. I contacted Paws and Peace and the communication was excellent from the start. Kim turned up early and was kind and compassionate and gave us all the time we needed. She fully explained everything, there was no rush and we were able to say goodbye to Pandora whilst surrounding her with love. I would recommend Paws at Peace and Kim to anyone who has to say goodbye to their fur baby.

Words cannot express my loss but Alex and Jess were so compassionate not only to Rory my beloved pet but also to my family and friends with follow up counseling text and now with a card i honestly cannot have asked for more and recommend is serves to anyone who needs it there love and compassion are beyond words 💗 💖 ❤️

Just want to say how amazing Kim was today when we had to say goodbye to our beloved westie Alfie. Kim was punctual, caring and compassionate. Alfie passed away at home in his comfy bed with his family around him. It was perfect, he just passed away so peacefully. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts x

We recently had to make the painful decision to have our sweet, 15 year old cairn terrier, Shelby, put to sleep to end her suffering. She could no longer eat, drank very little water and had to be carried everywhere as she was too weak to stand.
We could not bear the thought of taking her to the vet clinic one more time....a place that she associated with stress and pain. Thankfully, Paws at Peace came highly recommended and we can see why.
They were incredibly kind and compassionate..explained the steps....priority being Shelby's comfort. Their existence is founded on the principle that our loyal companions deserve to spend their final moments in their home surrounded by the people who love them and to pass with peace and dignity.
This is the only way, as far as we are concerned, to say good-bye to your best friend.

Unfortunately I had to use this company when our Beloved Mindy lost the use of her back legs, The service provided was amazing, I called on the morning and Kim arrived just after lunchtime, Mindy was a nervous dog and Kim allowed us to calm her before giving her a tranquilizer to settle her. Mindy drifted off peacefully with just myself and my wife present, this is so much better than having to drag your best friend to the vets for a very impersonal end.
